I asked for my burger to be medium rare. Had to wait a bit for it and when it arrived it was almost burnt on outside and well done. No juice in at all. Big disappointment. The fries looked like fried in very dark oil and my husband got scrapping from bottom. I had told the waitress medium rare twice but I guess one on the flat top or grill doesn't know how to cook. I didn't send back because it would take longer time to get back. Not servers fault. read more

My plan was to visit another poplar burger restaurant but for some reason they were not letting people in. What a blessing in disguise because I found my way down to Bulldog Burger! I have to say the employees were all great, you can tell that they enjoy coming to work. As I placed my order to go I was able to take some pics and explore a little. I could see this being a very cool place to hang with friends and have a good time indoors or out, I saw plenty of outdoor seating and televisions. They also have an open kitchen. I love an open kitchen! Now let's get into the food, I ordered The Lauren Burger with Truffle Fries. The burger consisted of bacon, cheddar, fried avocado, crispy onions, lettuce and a BBQ Ranch Sauce. With that said, any burger is only as good as the meat. At first bite I could tell that they're using quality meat, I would have preferred it to be cooked a little under but I should have requested that. The bacon, cheese and avocado were a perfect combination for the bbq ranch sauce If I had to find something to change, I would have had a little less crispy onions but the burger was good! I had it on a Brioche Bun. I would definitely recommend this place and I'll return to try other things on the menu. read more

This was an excellent place to stop in for a sit down lunch. I got The Mission burger with onion rings and both were excellent. The zesty sauce on the side was perfect with the onion rings (and also good to dip the burger in). I opted for the donut bread pudding and got an enormous serving that was delicious. The layout was open and comfortable, with numerous good seating options. The best part was the service - our waitress was very attentive, funny, and made us feel very welcomed. After paying our bill, she even brought us out some to-go drinks which we really appreciate. read more

Have had decent experiences here in the past, but the past few times it seems off. We came in as a party of six, waited a bit to be seated (totally fine), and then sat outside. Everyone ordered, and I doubled checked that my order was correct because I have a few food allergies and have to be pretty specific. We waited quite a bit for our food, but they were busy with a big group so that's fine. Everyone got their food, but mine came out with not one, but both of my food allergies on it. Additionally, it was the wrong order entirely, and the side I ordered was missing. Told the waitress, she took it away, and said she was going to ring in the correct order. Roughly another 30 minutes goes by and nothing comes out. Can't find our waitress to ask about it and since we're outside there's not really anyone else to ask. She comes by after another few minutes to check on us, sees that my food still isn't here (so I asked for it togo), and says she's going to check on it. Another 10-15 minutes goes by, food finally comes out, and my side order still isn't in there. At this point, it's been about 2 hours total, and I just want to go home -- plus don't want to make my family wait an additional hour. So we just made sure we weren't charged for the side, paid, and left. And yes, they still charged me for the food I didn't get until we were leaving. Just got home to eat my 2hr old salad, and there's cheese (one of my allergens that I specifically ordered it without) -- sitting right on top. Definitely going to take a pass going forward. Super friendly people and good food, just not worth the experience. Especially since I can't even eat my 2hr old food. And now that I'm home, with my meal that I paid for, I have to throw the whole thing away and cook. So that's exciting. read more

After a couple of visits I'd say I am a fan! I actually have to figure out how to get to Tupelo more with a valid reason to eat here now I am afraid. Very cool concept with some solid burgers and other very tasty food options as well. The star of the show is most likely the burgers, but that's their namesake so I am all the way down. I actually hope that they continue to expand and make their way a little more toward Memphis soon. The burger I had last time was great. None of us got burgers last night, I had just a that tasty junt for lunch, so I didn't double up. I can personally say that the wings, cheese curds, fresh cut fries, mac & cheese, tater tots, and even sloppy joes are also dang tasty. The place is all dark and vibey inside, and I do believe it's a repurposed building from the days of long ago. C argued and said she thinks it's new and they built it. I don't argue any more, I just agree. Life is better that way. Servers are great. Love the flannel shirt style they have going on. For starters, they call Happy Hour Social Hour. Pro move. Only other place I've seen that is the iconic La Fonda in San Antonio. Things were looking pretty good. And then... Freakshow red for $5.95 a glass, and the pours were generous. The cheese curds? Legit. Nice a resident of Northern Illinois, so near Wisconsin we could see the cheddar curtain in the distance. Finally, the chicken sandwich was delicious. Messy. But delicious. Cooked perfectly and moist. The staff were friendly and the service was solid. I visited BB on a Thursday, apparently trivia night. The place was packed. If there was one of these near me in ATL, we'd be on a first name basis. read more

I ordered the Chicken BLT salad, and I regret it. The lettuce was liquefied and rotten. There was brown rot juice in the bottom of the plate. Clearly the kitchen does not have quality control. A few pieces of good lettuce was placed over the top in what looked like an effort to hide the rotting food underneath. Sooner or later, someone is going to get sick. If you order food from here, make sure any produce is put on a separate plate so you can inspect it before you eat it. The brand of ginger beer they use is good. For anyone who follows me knows you're hard pressed to even get a 4 star from me. Thus, a 5 star means it knocked it out of the park with a major home run. We were originally planned to go to another restaurant with our grandson. When we found out the wait was 45 minutes, he immediately asked we go elsewhere. Thanks to a quick search Bulldog popped up. The option to be added to a waitlist came back with an estimated 11-26 min wait. Instructions said to check in with hostess on arrival. From waitlist, to check in, to getting seated, drinks and our appetizer was all within that 26 minutes! Every bite of food was amazing. For our 12 y/o grandson to rave about it should say more than what my feedback will say. The portions were perfect that we still had enough to bring home. For the size of the place it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a conversation with each other without overpowered conversations. Looking around you could see everyone was enjoying their experience and even as we were leaving there was still a wait for tables but so worth it. We are already trying to determine how to squeeze it in our next visit since we have a 6+ hour drive. It would be awesome if the owners decided to expand to Hardin County, KY. Well, I just ate one of the messiest burgers I've ever eaten, but it was also one of the best. And the onion rings were over the top too! My wife loved hers as well. My burger came medium rare with pork belly,, onion ring, lettuce, smoked gouda and a wonderful BBQ sauce. The onion rings were super crunchy, super tasty and came with a variety of delectable sauces. The menu is quite varied despite being a burger joint. The place is clean, spacious and sorta modern in appearance. It was pretty busy. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. We thought we'd try and squeeze in a bite on a Sunday morning, around 1100, a bit before a movie. We were easily able to be in and out, in approximately forty (40) minutes, which is impressive for a sit-down establishment. We had the Mission Burger, and the Good Mornin' Burger. The Mission is: chorizo, avocado, Monterey Jack cheese, pico, roasted tomato, and spicy chipotle mayo. The Good Mornin' is: bacon, fried egg, sharp cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, potato hash, mayo, and house made chipotle ketchup. Both the food and service were excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant, with both table and booth seating. They seem to have quite a few more interesting burger combinations we look forward to trying. read more

Pros:We loved the vibe of this place. It was packed the night we were there bc of a trivia event in the adjoining building. Our table was facing the kitchen and we enjoyed watching the hustle of the staff. Cons: it took 50 min for our food to arrive. And everything...the burgers, the fries, the onion rings was barely warm. It was shocking bc they were knocking things out and had what looked to be a good system...but in hindsight I think they were frying everything way too early and maybe even precooking the burgers to have them ready for assembly. Overall, it was disappointing. I never mind having to wait for food, but when you serve me food that is not hot and fresh it's such a letdown. read more

Stopped by on a road trip as it was on our way home. Marysol was our waitress and she was SUPERB! She was Super friendly with great recommendations and graciously brought us extra dipping sauces to bring home along with a Togo cup of drink for the road. It's a rather large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating in downtown Tupelo. Super cute and clean on the inside. The cheese curds were recommended and were super tasty. My husband LOVED the Lauren burger and said they should rename it to the avocado bomb because the fried avocado was delish. My son said the Mac n cheese was indescribable. He really liked it and the pork belly that comes on it was super yummy. I had the jalapeño burger and I would say that it was just ok. I have had this variation of a burger at many restaurants and it just didn't hit the spot for me here. The put a very thin layer of cream cheese and pepper jelly and the burger was just overall dry. I believe it would have been better if they were not so stingy with their toppings. Without the toppings it was just a dried out burger. Overall a great experience and MARYSOL was AMAZING. read more

This is our 3rd visit and we are yet to be disappointed. Tonight we branched from the excellent burgers and shared 3 different appetizers. Sloppy Fries are a fun little option with hand cut Fries topped with Sloppy Joe meat, queso, and queso (yum). Onion rings were panko breaded and quite tasty, perhaps these could have been cut a tad smaller but again very good. The Philly Steak Rolls were amazing with full flavor and creamy texture. I sat at the bar, met the bartender, Brannon, who has a signature drink that was super delicious. He was delightfully attentive, professional, and conversational. His drink began with the name Malibu. It's in their drink menu at the top of the list. It was wonderfully refreshing with just a little kick at the end. The establishment is super clean and inviting. Seats are comfortable, and there is plenty of room between the tables. They have indoor and outdoor dining options. The whole place is designed very well. There were families, couples, and lone diners like myself. The whole experience was extremely enjoyable. The staff was welcoming, kind, courteous, prompt, , and hospitable! All of the staff were smiling and engaged in positive conversations as they served each other and the patrons. Everyone appeared to enjoy their roles at the restaurant. I settled on the Smokehouse burger and was wonderfully delighted. I spent time working my way around the burger ensuring I got the perfect bite each time.
