Just stopped in to check the place out. I had been there many years ago and did some shooting. It was dirty and down right unhealthy the range was ventilated and kept clean. Called and spoke to the owner Cory, nice guy and have meet him person a few times when using the range. Asked about his Gunsmith availability and knowledge with revolvers. Explained that I needed to replace the factory trigger springs with a Wilson Combat kit that was specifically for this firearm. He explained no problem we can do it. Came down to the Store last Friday and meet with the Gunsmith and he explained he does not have the experience and has not worked on Revolvers before. the asked of I trusted him to try and of course pay him 80.00 dollars an hour ? He'll no ! I am a Retired ARMY Ranger and will do it myself. And, being old my fingers are not working as good as they did. Did it the change out in 15 minutes and I know it's done right the first time. Why have an Armorers in you store if the have no experience? Sounds like a Tactical 88 employee. Any self respecting Veteran would not join Tactical 88 .... a bunch of never deployed in the shit clowns wanting to act cool! Still will shoot at the Bullet Hole because Cory is a great guy! It is my understanding that the Bullet Hole changed ownership in January 2024. I contracted with the previous owner in July 2023 to sell a gun on consignment. I last spoke to the previous owner about the consignment in October 2023 and was told that the gun was on a "layaway" sale arrangement with an interested customer and that I would be contacted when the sale was completed to receive my agreed-upon share of the sale proceeds. I heard no more from the previous owner and was unaware of the sale of the business. Today, March 15, 2024, I went to the Bullet Hole to ask about the progress on the sale and when it would reach completion. That is when I was told about the change in ownership. The person who assisted me was unaware of the consignment sale arrangement but was very cooperative and helpful when I showed him my paperwork. It appears that the previous owner must have completed the sale (for the gun was not in stock) but never notified me or the new owner. The new owner chose to accept responsibility for the funds that were owed to me and paid me immediately, even adding a $50.00 bonus over the amount I had agreed to in my contract with the previous owner as compensation for my trouble. This decision speaks well of the good will and ethics of the current ownership. In my opinion I received the highest level of customer service and left the Bullet Hole a happy and very satisfied customer. Thanks to new owner Stephen and his staff. I am truly grateful. read more

This is a fun place to try a new activity. Granted I've only been to an outdoor range before but I thought this was a nice indoor facility. The staff was helpful in educating us about proper form and handling. Bring ear plugs and make sure to listen to instructions. read more

My friend and I came to this range a while back when it was still under the name of "Inner 10 Weapons & Training." We enjoyed our time utilizing the facility. The $20 unlimited handgun/long-gun rental is pretty unbeatable! Keep in mind that you're still responsible for buying ammo, which isn't unreasonable at all. Unsafe. Stay away. - No range master. No supervision - They rent weapons to people whether they have experience shooting or not. Would you lend your car to someone without a drivers license? - A ricochet from another shooter hit me in the face. Manager was not concerned. Target carriers are metal bars with flat surfaces. Wood clothes line clips to hold the target. Not suitable for shooting at close range. Inexperienced shooters hit the metal bar and send fragments back to the firing line. -Floor riddled with bullet casings. Slip hazard. -Poor lighting -Blowing fans cause targets to sway I learned how to handle a weapon in the military. This is no way to run a shooting range. read more

Not a bad shooting range, little far from Council Bluffs, but decent. Can get real crowded on weekends so I would allow extra time for range usage. Decent supply of rifles and handguns, few hand combat weapons, selection of cases and other items is pretty decent and priced fairly. They offer courses on safety and ccw, weapons training. Ammo is recycled and reloaded, about same price as field ammo from Bass Pro or China Mart. Full selection of caliber weapons for rent, wish bluffs would open an establishment to this nature. Kids are allowed, but must be supervised at all times. Under 19 is not allowed without parental supervision. Parking is very limited and only one way in , one way out. read more

This is an edit of my previous review. The Bullet Hole is fine, if it's your only option for shooting. I usually wear a jacket as it's 20 degrees inside the range and the fans are blowing so hard your targets move constantly. Their ammo is expensive and they sell remanufactured ammo. Beware, if you rent a gun to shoot you're forced to use their remanufactured ammo despite almost all major brands saying "Do not use remanufactured ammo". Staff pretend they're knowledgable but they are not. They have an extremely limited selection of firearms, mostly catering to the people who want a gun because "It's cool" or "I use this in Call of Duty!". Friend who is an LEO had a staff member point a gun at him in store as he was showing a customer something. He should have been fired on the spot, but I'm sure he still works there. read more

About a month after I wrote my previous review, I was hit by two ricochets. A guy two lanes over from me was firing an AR-pattern rifle, and I got popped in the knee and the head (I was bending down when I was hit in the head). I saw stars and bled just a little bit. Most indoor ranges I've been to prohibit steel-core ammo, but this place goes one step further. They won't let you shoot any rifles unless the ammo is hollowpoint or soft-tip. Not only is that annoying, it suggests to me that their backstop is of low quality. Plus, if they maintain the backstop the way they maintain the rest of the range (swinging target carriers, shells coating the floor), it's probably not maintained at all, which I believe can cause ricochets. There are now other ranges in the Omaha area which are much nicer. There are also gun clubs in the area. Go to those. read more

I have been to this place about 10 times in the last 6 months and have never waited more than 15 minutes for a lane. The staff is generally courteous and helpful. The store seems well stocked and well kept. Prices are fair and reasonable. The ventilation on the range seems to lack temperature control but is strong enough to blow your paper target around. This place used to be the best around(only place). I would highly recommend trying other places such as Omaha gun club, 88 tactical, and inner 10 weapons and training to name a few. I had 2 gift certificate totally 55.00 to this place. The certificate has no expectation date listed and after I had received them I called and was told they do not expire. Shot guns, bought ammo, targets, and range time. Go to check out , guess what they refuse to accept. That's right the gift certificate. They claim it was invalid and they would not accept one of the two. They tried to claim it expires it just doesn't say it in the certificate. I disagreed with them stated my points of no expire date listed and having called and how I was advised they don't expire. Front desk person refused in the end to accept it and would not provide me the ability to speak with anyone else. Terrible customer service and bad business practices taking peoples hard earned money on a gift certificate and then refuse to accept it. Please spend you money at places that appreciate it, it provides a much better experience. read more

Been here four or five times. Agree that the range doesn't have safety observers. Also, it's hot compared to other ranges I've been to. One time, a round hit the pile of swept up brass on the floor and the entire range filled with tear gas; everyone had to clear out while the smoke cleared. I think the staff was playing a joke on each other but it inconvenienced us. They didn't charge us for the time off range and it seemed they were embarrassed and just wanted us to not complain. Great place to shoot, awesome customer service, and inexpensive to shoot. Bought their membership when I was active duty AF, and have renewed every year since my retirement. Staff is friendly and knowledgable, easy to work with when transferring a purchased gun, and the lanes are easy to use. No need for a range master when the targets come back to you. No need to bring a ton of ammo since they have it there, and at reasonable prices. Forgot your ears and eyes? No issue, they have it there too. All you need to bring is a positive attitude. This place has a bad rep for no reason. I've shot there many times. The employees are helpful. They're competitive on prices and the place is clean. Never had a safety problem I haven't seen at 88 or OGC. No it's not big and it's not fancy, but I'm there to shoot not socialize. read more

I have been to this location numerous time and I have experienced a wide variety of things. The price is reasonable, especially since I got the family membership so it's $4 per person per half hour. Which is good because I like to spend a lot of time on the range. The range its self is small, poorly ventilated, and the room is pressurized so that every time the doors are opened, the targets fly all over the place. The way the room is built, it gets crowded very quickly and there is no tables in there to set up. I don't know about most gun owners, but I don't like just leaving my guns on the floor so someone can step on it. Also on numerous occasions, I have been hit by ricocheting rounds and had to cut my trip short. Lets just say I can't wait for another range to be built in Omaha or the surrounding area. read more

What can I say? The guys at the counter are great and always helpful, so I don't know why they are getting negative reviews. Service is always good and prompt. However, I have been there numerous occasions and it is always the same, douche bag young tattooed guys trying to impress their girlfriends or fat guys trying to impress their fat girlfriends. Every time, and I mean every time, this demographic of dorks are always filming each other shooting, often at point blank range, so their shrapnel fouls the adjacent lanes. God help us and someone open an outdoor range near Omaha so we don't have to share close quarters with these total losers. 5 Stars for the Bullet Hole, 0 for their clientele. read more

I took an introduction to Pistol's class and regret it, It was not worth the $100.00 price tag. At the end of the class we shot on the range. I hadn't shot a gun in maybe 30 years, most of the hits where within the target area. I was very happy with the result. The instructor come by and starts talking about groupings. He took my target and showed it to the class and said "if he was going to coach me he wouldn't even know where to begin". I thought his comment was very rude, since it was a beginners class and I immediately asked to leave. I had a very bad experience and wouldn't recommend the Bullet Hole for any firearm education. read more

The name says it all...it's a hole. Old equipment and little attention to safety. They need competition so they upgrade their business.

I have been a customer of the Bullet Hole since 2005. I have found the staff and the owner true advocates of the second amendment, that many are military veterans and patriots, and persons of outstanding quality that love their job and helping customers. Their prices are not outrages and I believe their profit margin is competitive to that of large business chains which is hard to compete with being product sold in bulk can be sold for less price, but the bullet hole does it well anyways. The staff is knowledgeable, whereas big out door chains rotate people all the time and many are extremely miss-informed and generally try to sell the fire arm they are trying to offload from inventory where the Bullet hole sells you the firearm that fits your needs. I support my local gun shops and their employees and would rather pay a couple of extra bucks rather than to a big chain like Dicks Sporting goods, who don't actually care about the people they serve or their second amendment rights, just profit. I do and I will recommend people looking for a good safe place to purchase a fire arm, take a CCW class or pick up tactical accessories, to head on down to the Bullet Hole in LaVista Nebraska. read more

Don't rent weapon from these guys. The weapon i rented had tumble problem, and the bullet was hitting the target sideways. Could be due to a bad barrel, a bad ammo, incorrect ammo, or all of them at the same time. I took back the weapon and they noticed the problem by looking at my paper target. Was surprised they still charged me full price for the rentals. They don't care about customer satisfaction. Was not a good experience. read more

I thought this place was great, the staff was very friendly and the pricing was very reasonable at $8 a half hour. I am used to shooting on my own acreage in another state but I just picked up a gun in Omaha and this was the perfect place to test it out. Their pricing on 10mm was close to twice what it was going for online, but i went to several other stores in Omaha and they did not carry it at all. Unsafe, Unprofessional, Unclean and Rude. Absolutely no safety requirements or supervision on this range! They rent full-auto rifles to people with zero shooting experience! Whatever it takes to sell their ammo, apparently! Had to take control of a rifle that an inexperienced shooter pointed down the firing line because he couldn't figure out how to take the safety off... There have been multiple shootings here, both accidental and intentional. The walk from the range entrance to the firing line is made over discarded casings - very much like trying to walk on marbles. Very little ventilation. Ricochets and bullet fragments constantly striking walls, ceiling and floor. Very poorly lit with cobbled-together equipment. The children working the counters spoke to every customer as if they had never held a gun before, but offered no assistance - only disinterested arrogance. I asked about the rental guns...apparently they are never cleaned by the staff until they have a malfunction; when this happens the guns are cleaned and sold at near new retail cost. Avoid this deathtrap (ask them how many actual deaths they've had here!) at all costs. This is an injury waiting to happen. read more
