Tuesday 7/30/13 was a bad day. My car broke down on the way to work in Northwest Austin. I parked it off the road, off the shoulder, and in the grass on Hwy 183 North. I managed to get a ride the few more miles to work, but had to leave my vehicle. After arranging a tow from there through roadside assistance, I found out that Southside Wrecker had already towed my vehicle, even though it was in no way impeding or causing a traffic hazard (and less than 5 hours after I had to leave it!). The next day, after finding a ride to drive me literally 25 miles to this Southside Wrecker tow lot, I was forced to waste $200 to get my car "released", but of course it would not be that simple, because I could not drive my car off the lot! Certainly not 25 miles, anyway. Luckily, my roadside assistance called Bullet Towing to tow my car a second time in 24 hours, this time to my mechanic. I was given an ETA of approximately 45 minutes by USAA through text. The tow driver, Deana, called me five minutes after I requested the tow through my roadside assistance and said she was ten miles away. I was stranded in the Texas heat alone at this godforsaken Southside Wrecker tow lot, expecting to wait 45 more minutes, but Bullet Towing showed up ten minutes after they called me, beating the ETA wait time by 30 minutes! Not to mention the fact that Deana provided good conversation and advice on how I should proceed to file a complaint for the fact that my car had been towed in the first place. We drove by the grassy area I had originally left my car, and she agreed that it should not have been towed, and that I should most definitely file a complaint about Southside Wrecker and APD if necessary for the non-consent tow, and hopefully get my money back from Southside Wrecker. I stupidly locked myself out of the car tonight and called Allstate's roadside assistance. They connected me with Bullet Towing, who answered quickly and professionally. Besides the typical questions of location and type of car, the man on the phone also asked to confirm that I was safe and not in any danger. I thought that was a such a nice gesture, especially since you don't often hear that with towing companies! After describing a few details, they dispatched a locksmith right away. This was the second good sign, because I have had experiences with other towing companies where I had to wait over 1-2 hours for a locksmith to arrive. Only 20 minutes after getting off of the phone, Jeff arrived and immediately got to work unlocking the door to my car. Jeff got the door open without a problem and conducted himself in a professional and friendly manner. I was incredibly surprised to find out that he was somewhat new at the job and had only been out doing jobs by himself for 3 days! He provided me with a Bullet Towing business card at the end, which was great for future reference. Overall, my experience with Bullet was one of the best that I have ever had during a lockout. These guys are phenomenal, under great stress and time constrain i needed to relocate my 1960 Cessna 172C from Bergstrom Airport to a new storage location accross town. I was able to arrange this while out of state and they worked with my time slot that i was in town for,This is a project plane that had the wings removed. It is very delicate and not easy to secure when transporting. Plus it took a special type of trailer that had a low enough angle to allow clearance and long enough to transport. The company had this specialized trailer. The team of two that was sent out was very methodical about tying down the place so it had plenty of support but was not overly tighten to do damage to the aluminum skin and frame. The team that came came out was very professional and showed they had the proper talent to do such a job. I was quoted a very fare price, but with the careful time and condern they took to make sure it was properly secured the price was only slighly more. I felt they deserve much more for the work they did but they refuse to take anymore than they priced out. The owner is a top notch guy and kept me up to date as our meeting time approched. My car broke down on a pretty dangerous part of the highway today on my way to church. My whole family was in the car, including my 5 year old son and 1 month old son. It was very hot outside and it was a really stressful situation. I called multiple companies that my google search pulled up before someone at Bullet answered the phone. She was helpful, polite and gave me a very clear idea of when the driver would be there. But the very best part of my experience was the driver himself. His name is Daniel Beckham. From the very beginning, he made me feel like I was a valued customer, and not someone he was trying to just get done with and move to the next. He towed my car to the repair shop and then drove me home. He was extremely patient and helpful as my family worked through a difficult and unexpected situation today. I think that Daniels demeanor speaks volumes about the culture of Bullet Towing. He is a shining example of what a service professional should do each day at their job. I can't say enough good things about him. And I have no reason to believe that this same sort of behavior permeates the entire company. Competitive, fair pricing, incredibly friendly and courteous service on all sides. I am having to dip into rent money that I'll need to deal with my landlord to pay for my tow and my repair, I'm having the absolute worst day (as anyone that needs a tow is), but I was smiling and laughing at the end of my tow, feeling better about life, and certain that everything is going to work out. They were sweet and helpful and made sure to be clear and upfront about all the charges so I could make the best decision about who to use (I called all the tow companies in Austin to get quotes first and they were lowest, although it's a short tow and they have a per mile fee so that may not be your experience, it's the lowest for 6-7 miles or less). They picked me up free of charge since the tow driver was near my house and I was planning on walking up 360 to get to my vehicle, and were generally so understanding of my crap mood that they turned it around completely. Great company, highly recommend. I would use them for a longer tow even if they weren't the cheapest due to mileage just to avoid the hassle of dealing with people who could give no shits about my crap day. read more

After my car died in a very awkward parking place on the 5th basement level of a very tight garage with just 6'8 foot clearance, I was stressed about even getting my car back out - much less in one piece. Bullet Towing to the rescue! Their receptionist was professional and clear about timing and costs, and the tow truck showed up on time. And my driver, Tony, is a freakin towing god! Even though the security guys were watching us like hawks the entire time , he worked calmly and quickly, got my car out of the garage faster than I would have ever imagined. And on the ride to my mechanic, I practically developed a full on bromance for Tony. From just being a friendly guy to giving some cash to some girls raising money for cancer research to letting multiple drivers merge and pass, he was a champ and damn nice guy! Bullet Towing gets the rating for their professionalism, for their pricing, and for saving my butt in record time. Last Tuesday, January 8, my insurance company (USAA) sent a gentleman from Bullet Towing when my truck would not start. This letter is in regards to Terry, an employee of your company. I usually don't take the time to give feedback, but Terry's outstanding service deserves a rave review. Terry went above and beyond to ensure that my car would make it to the auto shop that afternoon. He did so despite several obstacles. First, I had parked my car facing into another car. Second, there were too many cars parked around my truck. Third, my truck was not parked on level ground. Fourth, the cold rain did not help. Terry took charge of the situation with a plan of action. While Terry pushed my truck, he guided me with knowledgeable instructions as I handled the steering wheel. He calmed my anxieties with his confidence and expertise. It took a lot of physical effort, but Terry managed to get my truck out of its parking space into an orientation that would allow it to load onto the tow bed. Terry is amazing! My son's jeep quit on an interstate fly over... I called several companies in route to meet him and got estimates ranging from 45 minutes to two hours. I called the APD and ask for assistance with the traffic. Cars, trucks and semis were flying by as they couldn't see us at the crest of the bridge until they were upon us. The police never arrived. My son found Bullet and they were there within literally 15 minutes. The driver, Michael, had the foresight to request a second truck. One truck pulled in front to tow the disabled jeep while the other pulled in behind my vehicle to shield us from the oncoming traffic. In a matter of minutes, we were back on solid ground. I cannot express my gratitude. They were professional, courteous and understood the urgency of getting us out of a dangerous situation. The entire family now has them saved in our cell phones and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need. This is my second experience with a towing company. The first was horrible. I don't even remember the name of the company, but the wait time was rediculously long and the driver was, let's just say, less than professional. So when I needed my vehicle towed again, I was not looking forward to it. But this was a completely different experience. First we were told the wait time would be 45 minutes to an hour, which would have been much quicker than the first experience, so we were happy with that. But Jeff showed up 25 minutes from the time of the call. 5 stars for that one! Next, the driver, Jeff, was very professional. He was dressed with a company uniform, clean cut and shaven, and very polite.Yep, 5 stars for that! He made sure that he made room for my husband and I to sit comfortably in his truck. And by the way, he kept his truck very clean. Another 5 stars! We were bummed out we didn't make it to Emma Long and that my vehicle's belt snapped and adding towing to the events, could have made it worse, but Jeff made the experience a good as it can get. read more

I'm so impressed with these guys! Our wrecker drivers name was Joe and he was great! Yes we had to wait for a bit for him to get to us but understandable. We only waited 45 mins and he even called to apologize for running behind! After pulling into Target parking lot we snapped out lower ball joint! Joe work so hard to get our car on the flatbed making sure not to cause any further damage to my Mustang! He was so very kind and understanding! When we arrived at our home it took him an hour to get it off his truck and never complained! He worked so hard to insure that there was no extra damage to the car when getting it off the flatbed! I couldn't have asked for a better driver or company! Trust me I've dealt with crappy drivers and service before from other company's and these guys are the best! Don't usually take time to leave a review cause i'm lazy but these guys are quick and patient, worthy of a good review! Had my car towed to and from an auto shop, Louie picked my car up, was very nice and polite. The estimated repairs ended up being more than a I was willing to pay so I called Bullet towing once again. A driver showed up within 10 minutes and picked up my car and dropped it off back at my house. The driver, Tony, was very patient, professional and easy going. My credit card didn't work and i had to run inside and ask a roommate for another one. Tony was extremely patient, didn't at all seem to be bothered by the fact I left him waiting in the nest of mosquitoes that is a humid Austin Texas, he ran the card a second time, got it to work and both experiences with Bullet towing was a pleasant one. If you need your car towed for a $65 dollar hook-up fee and $3/mile extra (reasonable price) Bullet towing is the way to go!! read more

I had my new BMW Z4 convertible stuck on top of a curb + tree stump. What was a tree stump doing in the middle of a downhill parking lot with no lights? No idea. Anyways, my car end up on on top of the tree stump and curb with all 4 wheel elevated off of the ground! I could not move forward or backwards.. My car was strangely not damaged! Bullet Towing came to my rescue and managed to get my car out of its sticky situation WITHOUT damaging it. This is very important. Using a combination of two towing trucks and some wooden planks, Steven and the owner of the company were able to successfully lift my car up in (all four wheels) up into the air, and carefully move it off of the curb and tree stump. They were meticulous and got my car out with no damage! Totally worth the time and wait. What a wonderful experience to have when everything else has gone wrong! My truck decided to shake rattle and roll making me afraid to drive. Since I have other vehicles, I put this on a back burner for a couple of weeks. I call my American Express (towing services) and they were great in securing Bullet Towing for me. American Express told me it would be 45 mins to 1 hour before they would get there. However, much to my surprise Tony G. from Bullet Towing call me within 10 mins. and he was at the house with 30 minutes. Tony was so professional in his work, but most importantly kind and thoughtful. Something that in the service industry, we as consumers don't encounter very often. WOW. the 5 star reviewers were spot on! I had 2 cars on my property that were abandoned by their owners. after repeated requests for them to remove their cars. I had to find a towing company to remove them. I called Bullet, and the receptionist stopped me as I started to explain the issue and transferred me to the owner, who asked for pictures and gave me his mobile number to MMS them to. 30 minutes later 2 tow trucks showed up to remove the vehicles. no charge. the car's owners will have to go pick them out of the impound. They had all the paperwork all ready to go. They treated the vehicles as others have stated in their reviews. they took pictures of the cars before they touched them, then hooked them up to the tow trucks. they even took the time to check the tire pressure on the tires that were on the ground! very professional folks! read more

I was stuck in a parking lot after picking up BBQ for my whole family...I had a big bag of food sitting in the back of my car and no way to get it to them. I called my insurance company's hotline and got a tow set up with Bullet Towing. I was told that they would be there to pick me up in 20 mins...I didn't hold out hope for the tow truck to be there that quick...but it actually go there in less than 20 mins. Tony G was the guy sent out to help and help he did! He quickly got my car hooked up and towed to my mechanic. From the time we called to the time we were home was less than an hour. This past weekend I had some car trouble and was stuck on the side of the road with my dog. The driver from Bullet Towing arrived quickly, he was so polite and helpful. I had to get a ride home from him and my car was delivered to my residence. The driver's name was Andy he said, but his shirt said Rick, not only did he help me and my dog into the tow truck, he also stopped at the nearest conveniece store and bought a me a Dr. Pepper and even got a cup of water for my dog, not only was he very professional, but we were so hot and thirsty and he made my day with the stellar customer service I received, he went over and beyond what I ever expected. My car's transmission went out at my home. The estimated time of arrival was 45 minutes so I decided to take a quick shower. The tow truck driver called me to let me know he had arrived even before I finished my shower in less than twenty minutes! Insanely quick for rush hour. Tony G was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even volunteered to push my car out of my garage and out to where it could safely and securely be hooked up to the truck. I followed behind him to the shop where my car was to be delivered and he thoughtfully placed my car in a safe location at the shop as to avoid being struck by other vehicles going in and out of the shop.
