Although they were pretty late over the estimate my insurance company gave me, the did a good job with the tow. We were only able to connect to 1 tow hook due to the damage, and my passenger wheels weren't doing so hot. I used bullet towing to tow my car to the mechanic. They tore the skid plate off the bottom of my car, and damaged it so badly the mechanic couldn't even put back on. These guys were great. I had to have my wife's Acura RSX towed from our home to a body shop after it wouldn't start. Bullet Towing were fast and efficient on the phone in setting up the appointment, and although they told us the guy would be there in 60 minutes he managed to get there in 30. The guy that helped us was Eric, and he was a true pro and super friendly and easy going. He got the car up with minimal fuss and great care, and didn't mind at all that we decided to switch mechanics at the last minute to someone in another part of town that we'd originally said, for which he reduced the price accordingly. When we arrived at the shop he was equally as efficient and careful. He also showed me how to get the gear shift free with a screwdriver when it gets stuck (some safety design feature of Japanese cars I have never understood) and while we were chit-chatting he also had some great recommendations on local seafood restaurants, so I'd say the whole encounter was a win all around. We don't need our cars towed very often but I'll definitely use Bullet Towing again and ask for Eric again. read more

Towing your car is never fun or something you want to do. But the company doing the towing can actually make a difference. I had a flat tire and no spare on a rainy, cold Sunday morning. Beyond irritating. I did a Yelp search and came across Bullet. I gave them a shout and all the way from the person who answered the phone (Susie? or Susan?) to Michael who came out and did the work, I could not have been more pleased. Incredibly professional, personal, and timely! I also have a very low-riding car and Michael was beyond careful to make sure that it didn't scrape, etc. He moved around that car and the truck equipment with exacto-knife precision to make sure everything would go smoothly as he pulled it onto the truck. It was almost as if he was towing his own car in terms of the care he took. While you never wish upon yourself or friends/family to have to have towing service, Bullet will be my own go-to place and the place I recommend to everyone I know in need of towing services. Rick asked lots good questions concerning the car, the pick up location, took time to google and look at the slope of my driveway which complicates the process, and worked to get a driver to me within 30 minutes. My insurance company called Bullet towing for a simple lock out at my home. Although the operator was very nice - he scratched the inside of my car in several places (by accident). When I realized and brought this to Bullet's attention, the boss came to my house to investigate further and basically called me a liar to my face and said I must have been mistaken, because there was no way they did it and they weren't going to fix it. I am not mistaken, I take impeccable care of my car and know for a fact that Bullet caused the damage. I'm not mad because they scratched the car, I am upset because they didn't own up to it and make it right. One of the most important parts of business is how you handle mistakes and they did not own up to theirs. No one ever wants to have to call a tow truck however Bullet Towing turned a crappy situation into one that was not so awful. I had just moved to Austin and borrowed an old truck to pick up a huge dining room table & bench. Unfortunately, that old truck broke down on I-35 near 45 - this was on a hot, sweltering evening in July. We were able to get onto the side of the road but not able to exit fully. I whipped out my phone and yelped a towing truck company. I initially called a different tow company that was highly rated but even though they stated that they serve all of the Austin area, they took my call and my location and told me they would call me back with more information. They made me wait 15 minutes and then just called back and said "I was too far away" to be towed. Last I checked I was still in Austin and I was annoyed that he didn't just mention that the first time I called instead of making me sit in a sweltering truck. So then I found Bullet Towing, also on yelp, and called them. They said they would have the truck driver call me back. The truck driver called me back very quickly and his first question was "Are you safe? Are you off the freeway?" So it was nice that he really was concerned about our safety. He showed up quickly (maybe 10-15 minutes) and was very pleasant and nice. He assured us that his truck would be able to tow our truck flat so the table wouldn't slide out the back. The ride back to our destination was pleasant and he was just an all around nice guy. We mentioned the story about finding him on yelp and he gave us a discount on the price. I can't remember the specifics but the pricing was extremely reasonable. I definitely know who I'll call in the future should I ever need to be towed again. read more

THIS COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE! I called C & L Towing to tow my car from my house to the mechanic down the road. They quoted me $60, which was the cheapest price I had been quoted by a tow truck company. The person I talked to told me to write out a check to the company and to give it to the driver directly when he came to tow my car. A few hours later, a tow truck man arrives and tows my car to the mechanic. I gave him the check directly and thought everything was taken care of. Suddenly, a week or two later the tow truck man starts calling me every night asking to see me in person so that I can write out a check to him personally. He told me that C & L Towing was no longer in business and that he wanted to be paid directly for his services. I told him I wanted to try to contact C & L Towing before doing anything. Of course, within a few days I get in touch with C & L Towing. I explain what had happened. The person on the other line didn't seem to care at all and gave me the cell phone number of the owner and told me to call the owner directly. I said that I would try calling the owner but if I didn't hear back within a few days I was going to cancel my check. I called the cell phone number I had been given and left several messages. I gave them 20 days before canceling my check. The tow truck man continued to harass me late at night and continued to call. At this point I was getting really scared, not only because he knew my home address but also because he had my bank information on my check. After receiving numerous messages from the tow truck man, I told him I would be filing a harassment suite with APD and that I did not want to hear from him ever again. A month and a half later I get a call from the tow truck company telling me that they had tried to cash my check, but since it had been canceled, that they were now being charged an extra $25 from the check cashing company. I explained to the person on the phone why I had originally canceled my check and that I had told someone at the company that I was planning on canceling my check unless they contacted me, which they never did. The woman from C & L Towing started screaming and told me that I owed $60 plus $25 and that if I didn't pay they would sue me. Before I had time to answer she hung up on me. This was at 5pm on a Friday. The following Monday I got a call from another person who threatened to arrest me if I did not pay. At this point I was pissed and started telling him that I would be happy to pay the original $60 but that I would not pay a cent more. He also asked me to come to the tow truck company in person. I told him that under no circumstances would I do that. I told him what had happened with the tow truck man and he claimed that he had no idea what had happened and that I should have contacted him when it had originally happened. He reassured me that the tow truck man had been fired, as if this was supposed to make me feel better. We agreed that I would mail a money order to the company for the original $60. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE! I wish I had never gotten involved with the company. They mishandled the situation every step of the way and it took 3 months to resolve the problem. Additionally, even if the tow truck man has been fired, he still has my address and bank information. I have had to change the locks on my doors, file a harassment complaint with Austin Police, and change my bank information. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

In the middle of graduation Saturday, I smacked into a concrete barrier on 35. I was frantically searching for a towing place on the side of 35 in the sweltering heat when I came across Bullet towing. Tony was dispatched out in an extremely timely manner. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my stranded damsel in distress self on Saturday. I don't admit to weakness to much in life, but that day I was truly clueless and helpless about my car. He was so gracious, upfront, and honest, wound up fixing my tire instead of just charging to tow my car, and I was able to drive it home. He could probably tell I had no idea what I was doing, so he suggested he switch out the front temporary tire he had just replaced with the back one since my car has power steering and having a spare tire on the front could be dangerous. Boy do I hate tow trucks. For some reason, they make me think of sleaze. Wow what a surprise to find a remarkable towing service! Rick the owner personally took my call and made this horrid experience almost pleasurable. He was very patient and took time to explain the service. He also told me about all of the tests & classes that they put their drivers through, random drug testing, driving records, sex offender checks, regular training. There were many more I just cannot remember all of them. It was clear to me that Rick took pride in his business and wanted to ensure the best possible customer service. He even had his driver call me when he delivered my truck to my excellent mechanic (Flamingo Auto). Matt delivered my truck within 30 minutes. He was very polite & knew where my mechanic wanted the truck delivered. If I ever have to get another tow, I now know that Bullet Towing is about as good as it can get and it is sleaze free! read more

Bullet did a great job putting my 67 Classic Jaguar on a flatbed and taking it out to the shop. They showed up right on time and JT was very careful hooking up the car and making sure the straps didn't press against any of the delicate aluminum splash guards. I have never had a worse experience. Two times I have been cancelled on by Bullet Towing after the time that they were scheduled to come pick up my car. They do not have good customer service and were not in the least bit apologetic for the inconvenience. Never again will I use Bullet Towing and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone else.
