We walked in for a car sale and was promptly pulled up to the counter to complete the titling process (less than 5 minutes). In comparison, the Lakeville and Apple Valley locations can take 30 - 90 minutes (usually the latter). So this was quite refreshing! Highly recommended.

She was an older lady, who seemed really annoyed that I was there to renew my DL. She was so busy rolling her eyes and talking to her coworkers instead of answering my questions. Thankfully this isn't somewhere that I have to frequent. I will go to Apple Valley next time.

The second time I took the road test, it was with a young lady with short gray hair. She was very…read morerude, cold, and turned off. After I hit the curb with my back wheels on the first test on a right turn, I was scared of that happening again, so instead my right turns were too wide (fair). However, at the end of the test, she said "So, the wide turns didn't fail you on their own, you also had a rolling stop and didn't do the 90 degree back in well. In detail, you have to stop for 3 seconds at each stop sign. This is a critical error." In the MN Drivers Manual, there is no such rule, it only mentions a complete cessation of movement, which I did. So, I failed the second time. However, I was so prepared for the third test. I had been practicing daily for 2 weeks and I had no reason to be nervous. This examiner was very nice, he was young, dark-skinned with an Afro. I did the parking maneuvers close to perfect, and I only noticed 1-2 wide turns. At the end of the examination, we pulled over to the curb, where I asked if I passed. He said "Give me a second, I am just doing the math here". Obviously right now I was thinking the worst. I was very confused as to what "math" he was doing because Eagan uses only a pass/fail system. On the first test, the examiner said that if I didn't hit the curb, I would've passed. This exam went much better. After about 2 minutes, he said "Sadly, you didn't pass because of your wide turns. You crossed the 'lane markings' which weren't visible. You also didn't look both ways at the stoplight intersection when the light was green". The examiner lied and made up the last part and didn't record it on the exam sheet. He also said that my approach was too fast, while the first examiner said my approach was too slow, at identical speeds. I was baffled because the previous examiner had said that 4-5 wide turns aren't enough to fail you, while with this examiner, 2-3 were. The minimum score I could have gotten on the test was 80, which is 1 below the passing threshold. This is when I think the examiner fabricated the results. Also, this is when I understood the goal of the Eagan DMV; treat the tester with utmost kindness at the beginning, then play in their face at the end and unfairly fail them. I still don't understand why I failed and have filed a complaint against the DMV, to which they forwarded to the Eagan supervisor. I have not heard back yet. But I will never come back to this particular DMV for any reason and I don't recommend you to come either. I will be taking my road test in Arden Hills on August 18th. I am going to keep fighting this and will go above the DPS if need be.

It's in a strip mall and to ensure the other business having parking for their customers most of the upfront spots are reserved for each companies customers. The lot is always full! Had to circle a few times before getting a spot. Second this location looks a bit different than any of the others I've been to. Looks like a pop up. You walk in and take a number but it is crowded so it's hard to even see that that's what you need to do and it's weird to approach because you have to squeeze between people being helped at the counter to grab a #. Third - No privacy at this location. When you approach the counter you are elbow to elbow with the other people at the counter (especially when people have 2-3 people approaching with them) also the seats for people waiting/standing is tight- less than 10 steps between the seating & counter. Also I was a bit concerned they don't really have those tables with the pens connected like other locations, they have one table with forms and you just fill it out however you can. It's packed so there's definitely people sitting around that one table. You can fill out the forms online ahead of time, which felt a bit more secure. The man sitting next to me had his form on his lap which displayed all his personal info including his ssn. Forth - when I first walked in they just called #14. I pulled #46. I thought I was going to be there all day with how crowded it was. I even thought about leaving to grab food and coming back later. I went outside for a bit then came back in stood until a chair opened. For the most part they were calling the numbers fairly fast. They would call a number 3x before moving on if no one responded. Some people needed Spanish speaking reps and most of the reps did not speak Spanish so they would wait and kind of go up one after another even if their number wasn't called yet. Again small location I could hear some of the employees complaining to each other what kind of services they "weren't" dealing with that day, which added an extra level of unprofessionalism to this location. I know they didn't care that we could hear but still. I waited about 35ish minutes for them to get from #14-46 which isn't as bad as I thought it would be. They were able to scan my ID and pull up my forms, I had to take a pic. There were people walking in front of me while the rep was trying to take my pic and a man even stopped to stand partially in front of me- no type of awareness to what was going on. I'll say I'm somewhat impressed with how fast (considering) things moved along but everything else here was a no for me.

I came in on a Friday morning, and immediately took a ticket with a number, and was 16th in line. My number was called in less than 5 minutes. The nice gentleman that helped me was both efficient and friendly. He was able to help me update tabs for 2 vehicles (one that also needed new license plates) and updated registration for my boat. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! Congratulations - I'm totally coming here next time I need DMV services!

The staff is friendly and the wait times are usually short compared to other DMV's I've been to. They do not handle driver's license renewals so that is good to be aware of. I was called before my appointment time even though there were 20 people in the lobby with an hour wait. I filled out everything online ahead of time so I really just needed to go in, take a picture and paid in cash! They take check or card for a fee. The employees are nice here and show you your picture and let you approve before they send it off. I appreciate that! Make it easier on yourself and the employees by planning ahead and your time here will be pleasant! So quick I was out in ten minutes.

Even with limits on numbers of people allowed into the building at any time, the service was great. I was invited into the building and directed to the proper location promptly, and had a minimal wait. I was fortunate to not be that far back in line waiting to get into the building, so the whole process took less time in total than at other offices in previous years.
