I didn't realize they we about to close bur hurried and they only had to stay open 2mins more but that guy was hostile by the time he had to check me out. I had run by one of the owners nephews and apologize and he said not to worry so I am not sure why the employee would be angry with me. He was literally red in the face. I don't ever even remember feeling that way in any store and I am from Los Angeles. So that says a lot. I apologized. It was last minute bc my son got sick all of a sudden but I won't be coming back for months until their next staff turnover hopefully. Hopefully, that person finds a job that he is more happy in.

This used to be an IGA market but in recent years has switched to the Sheridan Select Market. It has most of your every day needs and on this day it was vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, flour and butter. Well, what can I say we didn't read the recipe until that morning. Small town grocery with tiny aisles and a little of everything in there on this day was fairly brisk business going on. We walked up from the house, brought our own shopping bag (they weren't really impressed by that) it made me giggle to myself as I bagged by own groceries and the clerk just looked quizzical at me as if she had never seen a reusable bag before. All in all a handy stop. I'm sure all be back again.

They carry a wide variety of whole food pantry staples (no produce or meats), most of which are available organic. Many things are available in bulk quantities and their prices are reasonable. Whole Foods and New Seasons have nothing on their selection of grains, legumes, nuts, dried fruits, and sweeteners. They also carry a good selection of healthy oils, canning supplies, baking supplies, raw organic cocoa powder, some essential oils and soapmaking supplies, kitchen items, juices, teas and natural sodas, and a lot of other misc things for the whole foods crowd. There never seems to be much of anyone in there -I hope they will be able to stay in business in an area where people are conditioned to buying really awful food at Safeway and Walmart.

This is December 31, 2023…read more* Woodburn Mega Foods has all the basic staples available in most grocery stores plus many items and brands needed for authentic European and Mexican cooking not found at Safeway or Walmart. * The parking lot is in excellent shape with parking spaces clearly marked and clean. * The produce department, deli and bakery look great and have a wide selection with many options not available anywhere else in the Woodburn area. * The shortage of cashiers currently does not seem to be a problem generally. There can be lines during peak times but the cashiers work steadily to get people checked out quickly. * There is a self checkout section with a person available to help with any problem. * Most of the cashiers speak English and Spanish and are friendly to everyone. As for the cashiers not being particularly chatty - I value getting in and out of the grocery store quickly. In fact, it irritates me when things are held up by cashiers carrying on conversations with customers when there is a line. The store has the warehouse look, like Costco, and is clean, fresh, and usually well stocked. Like many stores today they may be out of something due to shipping delays but I normally can find everything I need. I wanted to let people know what Woodburn Mega Foods shopping is like now.
