We sat under a pink tree that gave us a beautiful glow, and the tables and banquettes were so pretty and comfortable, with a shelf behind us for handbags and gifts. Best seating in Salem. The service was epic! Our waiter had a great personality, and handled our big, loud group with ease and grace. The timing on the dishes and drinks was impeccable. We felt well cared for, and I felt celebrated. The food was delish. We loved the fondue as an app, I think we ordered two, and some oysters. Everyone enjoyed their main courses, I loved my goat cheese dumplings. A few of the guys mentioned smaller servings, but I prefer quality to quantity, so maybe just order another entree‍. I think this place is relatively new. It is beautiful inside and really makes you feel like you could be in paris. the food was great! we enjoyed the raclette, steak au poivre, steamed clams, the sliced potatoes, barramundi, chicken and creme brûlée and the poached pears! the entire table was satisfied!! my only complaint was the slowness of service. They were relatively busy but seemed to be somewhat understaffed. everyone was nice and pleasant, but at times we felt ignored. Restaurant is beautiful and a great place for a ladies get together. Service staff is mixed...friendly but can be slow and not very knowledgeable about their menu. The biggest drawback is how slow things are...maybe that's a French thing. But because it was so slow, we felt rushed to finish our meal with a 7 pm reservation and the restaurant closes at 9 pm. The first few dishes (appetizer and french onion soup) came out piping out but the entrees were lukewarm. The escargot was okay...a bit too much butter and lacked flavor. As for the entrees, the orange duck was tender and had good flavor...just not hot. The broccolini was done right but it has a bit of a kick to it...which I could've done without. The steak was okay...nothing exciting. The lamb chop was very good and perfect. All in all, an okay experience but with the price point, expected a bit more in terms of service and food. Walking in for the first time the venue does have a Parisian feel. Nice lighting and a welcoming atmosphere. Hostess greeted me promptly and I asked about sitting at the bar which she said would be fine. The bartender (Mo) brought me a glass of of water and asked if I would like a cocktail. I mentioned that I would like to try the caviar bump and champagne shot. For a starter I ordered the escargot. It arrived fairly quickly. Excellent taste served with small puff pastry. I also ordered the French Onion Soup Excellent flavor. Not too overwhelming. For my entree I went with the Poulette (1/2 roasted chicken) As they were out of the green beans, I went with the suggestion of the cauliflower broccoli medley. The chicken (1/2) was delicious. Served with a cream sauce, it was perfectly cooked, excellent flavor and not dry at all. Pacing was good. I didn't feel rushed or like I was waiting too long. I had a special which included a buckwheat pancake with pears. Hands down the best gluten free pancakes ever. They had the option for 1 or 3. I just had one but paired with a side of bacon and breakfast potatoes with homemade hot sauce. Dessert: pot de créme and bon bons. Save room. Totally worth it. Food is French, so I'm happy to actually eat a Ratatouille which I always wanted to try since the Disney cartoon. Cocktails were tasty and servers are nice. The place is BEAUTIFUL. After a bit of trouble finding the entrance (on second floor, not much signage to get you there), we had a delightful meal that was perfectly paced and every dish was delicious. Between the 4 of us, we had both soups, French Onion (of course) and the Raspberry Gazpacho (SO GOOD!), then the mushroom tart, escargot, beet & citrus salad for second courses and the Ragu and Ratatouille as main courses. This is such a beautiful spot for brunch or a magical meal. I went here last summer after they opened for dessert. I had a cake made from crepes which was light and sweet. I recently came back a few weeks ago during cherry blossom time (Hanami) to take in this restaurant a little bit more. I liked it even better for brunch. They had quite a lot of choices from savory to sweet and a bigger menu than for happy hour. When you step into this place, you step into a magical world with everlasting cherry blossoms, blooms, and magic. Brunch is amazing here. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous trees that set the stage for happiness with their beautiful cherry blossom blooms. They make spring last forever here. The minute you enter, you lose all the stress and worries behind because this place is everlastingbspring and joy. The tables were all adorned with fresh cut roses and the whole place is a pink paradise of flowers and whimsy. They cut their hours back in the winter, but I heard they might expand them again this summer. This is the ultimate spot for elegant birthday parties, baby showers, bridal parties, and other special occasions too since they do have a special room in the back for larger groups. This place would be perfect for prom or an anniversary/proposal dinner. The service may be a bit slow at times, but the food makes up for it. This is a place where time should move slow like having a coffee on a street in Paris or meditating under a magical tree. The whole vibe is an Instagram moment. You truly feel like you are in a fancy cafe in Paris or Los Angeles instead of Salem, Oregon. The women's bathroom is one of the prettiest restrooms I have ever been too. It feels like escaping into another secret garden and it's giving pure fancy and fun. It just puts a smile on your face when you enter. The clever signs and lights are fun too. Salem has a lot of new restaurants popping up but this piece of magic is my top favorite place to dine. It's hidden on the top floor of the building so take advantage of the free parking garage and connect on the third floor for easy access. The dining experience for myself, and my group of eight was beyond disappointing. First of all to find it, you have to go into a dying mall, wander and walk upstairs, find a decor that would be more appropriate if they were selling ice cream only. As for the food, how can any kitchen put too much salt on a salad? We had to send them back.. Of the eight entrées that came out, four were not acceptable. When we pointed this out, it only seemed to make the staff angry, as in "how dare we". At this point, the only thing, that was like French dining, was how rude they became. I'll be back in Salem in the fall, and I doubt they will be still open. read more

Overall, I loved the experience here. The decor is so pretty and cute. Definitely nicer than a lot of places in Salem. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the egg with the waffle was a bit undercooked. The egg with the Benedict was perfectly poached. The potatoes were super good. I got a mocha latte and it was great, it came out at a drinkable temperature- not too hot. The service was good, friendly and attentive. Parking is fairly easy with street parking, free on Sunday but 1.50 an hour on weekdays and Saturday. They have a nice mocktail and latte selection separate from the menu. Sunday I visited Clink giving it a second chance thinking my first visit was just an "off" day. I thought it might be a nice place for a "sisters" reunion, but we were sorely disappointed. From the moment we stepped in it was like an igloo inside and we politely let our server know, but she just agreed it was cold. Hard to enjoy yourselves when it's that cold. Next came the drink order and we asked for two decafs. We were told there was no decaf and none available to be brewed. Odd for a place that serves Sunday brunch. I left and went downstairs to order some decaf to go from Bonzai and had to ask for a mug to pour it in when I got back. The French toast was pretty tasty that two of us ordered. However, one of my sisters ordered the quiche and it was delivered as a mountain of thick cut potatoes and an INCH-wide slice of quiche! Needless to say, we are positive the restaurant manager would have been embarrassed to have this plate leave their kitchen. We also commented to the server about this, and again she just agreed with us. The front desk could use some personality as well. I am hoping someone listens and can still make some changes. Far and above the very best fudge I have ever had. Between the lemon and raspberry cream fudge, it is hard to choose between the two. The chocolate dipped cookies are simply amazing. My only two issues are 1: the coffee was cold (likely only a logistics issue) and 2: my bigger issue is the very limited and borderline just "decent" selection of wines. I sense a great French oriented restaurant would benefit a lot from having at least a few much higher level wines - like most good restaurants do - even if only a few higher end choices. That said, there were good champagne and mixed drink choices. So in the future we'll just be be bringing our own wine rather than buying. as I walked in I thought "well this is encouraging, the place was packed! It was a Friday before Valentines Day. I ordered two of my favorite dishes, escargot and caviar. The escargot had absolutely zero flavor, presentation was nice but not worth what they are charging for it! As for the caviar, it was an unqualified disaster! It was a plate full of junk and an amount of caviar that didn't amount to one single bite full! way to expensive for Salem and very poor quality. Service as quite slow even at the bar!
