The containers which had packaged leftovers from the food bar were really hard to read, no ingredients listed, so I couldn't tell if they were vegetarian/vegan or carnivore. So I went to the canned soup aisle, and they had a good selection of options. I noticed the fridge section had a selection of meats and veggie-based things - but something seemed a bit off/old about them; and I'm not sure why. But it IS on the expensive side; and I imagine because it's a Co-op, and of course as a visitor I wasn't a member. The place felt a little crowded/packed with stuff, but didn't have much of what I was looking for. I didn't find the people working there terribly friendly, or rude. However, I had accidentally left a packet of seeds I bought on the counter, and the cashier actually ran to my car to give them to me. That was a really nice, unexpected touch.

They have everything from dairy, grains/baking, local and Oregonian products, fresh produce, meats, wine and beer, and fresh meals from the deli and kitchen. I like that their produce is labeled where it came from, usually from Oregon, Washington, California, or Mexico. They have a variety of sweet potato. I tend to always buy their prunes, carrots, melons, in season berries, beets, tomatoes, and snap peas. Their kombucha is yummy! Brunch is very popular here. It was sold out one Saturday afternoon. If you join the coop, you'll have one day out of the month to get a little discount off of your groceries. I wished it was more days of the month, to be honest. But, they have fun events throughout the month and year, like pizza fridays (family friendly) and holiday dinners on the farm. Come check out this place if you live in the Wilsonville-Sherwood area. I was very disappointed and frustrated by my visit to Natural Grocers. The store is small,…read morecramped, and, with one exception, full of indifferent and unhelpful employees. I stopped in to see if I could find coarsely-ground cornmeal, which is all but impossible to find pretty much everywhere. Although there were many employees on the floor, most were found in pairs, each engaged in a personal gossip session with all sorts of inappropriate details being shared and discussed. Eye contact and asking for help quite literally went ignored (in case you're wondering, each was wearing a "Natural Grocers" apron, so I know for sure they were employees). I also encountered two completely blocked aisles, with the blockages being caused by employees who were actually working. In each case, employees were stocking shelves from a cart they'd placed right in the middle of the aisle thereby preventing anybody with a cart from being able to move through the aisle. Natural Grocers does have a good selection of vegan items and surprisingly low prices on them (lower than any place else I've ever checked), and the cashier was very helpful, friendly, and cheerful. These are the only reasons for one star higher than the minimum. I'm sure that Natural Grocers can do better, but I'm not sure that I'd like to return to find out if they eventually do.
