This place has become…read moreoverwhelmed with rules and restrictions, and the rangers seem more focused on policing campers than creating a welcoming experience. I used to come here every year, but after this trip, we'll never be back. Don't try to sneak alcohol, they do check and they will walk around your campsite every 10 mins. The rangers constantly patrol campsites and frequently show up unannounced, making it hard to enjoy your stay. We were kicked out of our campsite because they found a beer on our table. (Yes, we were aware no alcohol, but cmon we're camping)! Then we were told to be out by 8:00 AM the next morning. We were already packed up and actively loading our vehicle when a ranger approached us at 8:01 AM and immediately accused us of trespassing. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he told us to "hurry up and pack your stuff, and get the fuck out" and stop "lollygagging." We were literally in the process of leaving. These american rangers were on a power trip, super entitled, thinking they're above the law and talking to us like we were animals, if not worse. So in other words, they must really love their jobs, or they're unhappy with their lives. The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile and aggressive. Being nice will go a long way. We were super nice and respectful and didn't argue back. Wish we got the same energy back. There are plenty of other campgrounds where visitors are treated with respect.

The last time we rafted Middle Fork American was on a cold, gloomy, drizzling day in October 2019 - so we had to give it another go in warmer weather. This time around was just as memorable. Two of us in the boat ended up falling out in the water at Tunnel Chute, which happened so fast that I barely knew what had happened - thankfully, there was a nice calmer stretch of water right after through the river tunnel, so we were easily able to get back into the raft. (Thank you to our guide, Troy, for hauling me back in, and for being an awesome guide in general!) Plus this was one of the photographer spots, so the action was all captured for us to laugh about later. Later, after our tasty sandwich picnic lunch, we had a few unexpected events happen, starting from the portage down Ruck-a-Chucky Falls. Shout-out to all three guides in our group - Troy, Shea, and AJ - for handling things so calmly and getting us all back where we were supposed to be! We had plenty of calm stretches floating down the river as well. The canyon is beautiful and quite peaceful. We saw a ton of dragonflies flying above our heads, masked ducks chilling on rocks and diving underwater, and wild grapes and blackberries growing alongside the river. We'll be back again for another trip with All-Outdoors! Maybe we'll try a 2-day or 3-day trip next time.

I brought my boat in to have speakers installed and the gauges repaired, which were not functioning. After a diagnostic, I was advised to replace the impeller. I agreed, thinking it made sense to get everything done while the boat was already in the shop. When I returned to pick up the boat, the total cost was significantly higher than what I was originally quoted -- with no prior communication or explanation. On top of that, the interior of my boat was returned to me in unacceptable condition: oil and grease stains on the carpet and seats, as if there was no regard whatsoever for cleanliness or care. To make matters worse, after using the boat twice, the speakers and amplifier already stopped working. I reached out, hoping for a reasonable conversation about resolving the issue, only to be told it's not covered. No accountability. No effort to make it right. And as a final touch, a cup holder went missing during the installation -- which they also dismissed. If you're looking to overpay, have your boat treated carelessly, and receive subpar workmanship, this is the place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

We made the drive up to the Delta to do some much needed wake-boarding. Most of the lakes in California are too low for wake-boarding so we headed up to the Delta. We met some great people and found this great Marina in the Delta! Bullfrog Marina what a find! http://bullfrogmarina.net/ We looked around for decent gas prices and they had the best prices. We also got to meet bear the dog and Carl really took care of us! We can't wait to go back to the Delta! We found a killer spot to hangout called Ski Beach... What a party! Bullfrog Marina happened to be like 5 minutes away from Ski Beach, since we bought gas and drinks they didn't mind us using their bathroom. We made it a point to stock up on supplies anyway! Some advice to people that are planning to go boating soon, when your fuel gauge is near empty go get gas! It happened to us while we were out on the Delta. We barely got phone signal and called around to see someone would open up for us. Let me just say, when it's 9pm, and your out of gas on the water well your kind of screwed. Anyway we would like to give Carl credit from Bullfrog Marina for not only picking up the phone but guiding us to the marina. We had to paddle it in. Not only did they open up for us to gas up, they let us re-stock on food and supplies. Carl even had fresh coffee for us. What a champ. After we fueled up we made it back to camp. We have been to Bullfrog Marina before and love the place. Good prices on gas, food and beer. Carl told us about the new fuel additive they have been using called Biobor. We have a older boat and you can really notice the ethanol and what it does. Anyway, we were up for the 4th of July and fueled up our tanks, we use a lot of gas. So, after running 2 tanks of Biobor our boat is now running smoother and getting better mileage. When your dropping $400 a shot to fill up, you will notice the extra distance you get, and we have. I'm skeptical about any additive but this one seems to work. The boat starts up a little easier and it idles nice and smooth. read more

CARL ROCKS! Bullfrogs has pretty much anything you need - beef sticks, beer, gas, chips, ice cream sandwiches....but then they have other random things you might need - razors (for shaving, haha), key chains, fishing supplies...some very random things at Bullfrogs, but random things are needed at times. Carl is super cool and really nice. He is always willing to help anyone at any time. read more

Has to be most awesome Delta Marina around. Bullfrog Marina has the best gas prices, best selection of cold beer, snacks, and really awesome customer service. We found them to have the cleanest bathrooms on the Delta Marina. I will definably come back to fuel up and stock up! He then tried to put in a rebuilt part vs a new one without asking us what we wanted to do he did work without getting our approval. Then he had the nerve to get angered with us when we told him it was illegal to do work on any automotive vessel without customer approval. He then refused to do any more work, stopped replying to calls and texts, and left our boat taken apart. They never provided us with any invoice or any receipts to show us what they actually did, I think because they never did anything at all and were just trying to take our money. We had to bring it elsewhere to get fixed and it costs us over twice as much as it should have because of the incompetence and unethical business practices done by the Chandlery. We found pieces of the boat that should have been reattached sitting in the cup holders. The boat was left in shambles complete a mess dirty (shoe prints all over the seats) and not put back together. I think they saw 2 younger people and thought they could scam us. There's a reason they aren't accredited by the better business bureau. I'm now looking into small claims court.

Don't let the Chandlery touch your boat, they don't know what they are doing and have horrible…read morecustomer service. During an annual fluid change preformed by the Chandlery, they did not install the oil filter properly, causing 6 liters of oil dumped in the hull of my boat. They apologized and said they would make it right, clean all the oil out and make it new again. Unfortunately after having the boat in their possession for two weeks, and multiple opportunities they were not able to clean all the oil. They tried and said it was the best that they could do, but they simply did not have the equipment or knowhow to clean the oil out. So I requested that we go to a 3rd party to clean the boat, they said fine and I would let them know the cost. I took the boat to a professional boat shop and luckily they were able to get it clean. It cost me over $500 and the Chandlery will not pay for it, saying they could have had it done by their vendor for cheaper. Weird thing is they never even offered. Not only was I over charged for the oil change, the Chandlery will not reimburse me for the clean out. Honestly, I was not upset with the mistake. I gave the Chandlery plenty of patience and opportunity, it is just sad that they will not make it right...and rude about it too. Stay away!

To my surprise, I arrived during what should have been open office hours and saw the manager leaving with a man who seemed to also work at this Marina. They were gone for hours, and the office remained closed the entire time. I was told by a nice gentleman at the Marina that this is a normal occurrence for the two of them. This isn't just about poor communication--it's about accountability and professionalism. If you're managing a marina, customers and boat owners need to be able to rely on you being present, responsive, and focused on the job. Sadly, that hasn't been my experience here. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this level of service is unacceptable, especially when people are entrusting you with their boats and time.
