All sandwiches are premade which is why I didn't get the bagel as they only had sausage and I'd prefer bacon or ham. Both sandwiches were solid. Not groundbreaking but you never expect much from a drive thru only coffee house. But they was a nice compliment to our drinks. My daughter loved her drink and mine was just ok. Defiantly had a stinger coffee taste versus Kit Kat. Which for not being a big coffee guy I'd prefer the latter. I generally order the same thing every time and it's an "off menu" item, but still available. After ordering and going to get our drinks we saw a sign that the ice machine was down. Strange, but it happens. Iced tea isn't iced tea without ice, so that wasn't appealing to me. Likewise any of the fountain drinks, since it's the ice that cools the beverage and helps maintain carbonation. That leaves whatever-temperature-the-drink-comes-out-at. Bummer, because I LOVE Panera's iced tea. I don't know if there an event or a convention or just an unreasonable gathering of kids, but there were A LOT of kids on this visit. An annoyingly large number of kids. Food delivery was kind of lengthy, made even worse by all. the. kids. My sandwich was good, but not awesome, and my room temperature tea (-ice) wasn't winning any awards. It wasn't until I went up to get a drink refill that I saw the young lady behind the counter get someone some ice from a little refrigerator behind the counter. We weren't offered the ice when we ordered so I kinda stood there in amazement, but at least we were able to get some for our refills. Kind of a lackluster visit, to be honest. The staff was fine and kept the moving. The dining room was surprisingly clean, given how busy they were. This visit was an "as we were passing by" selection. One of the high school employees was eating a giant honeybun and another employee (a young lady with black hair) was having a conversation with the customer. The customer in the white car was also a young lady wearing glasses and the conversation between the two went on for at least 10 minutes (female employee even leaning against the outside register, arms crossed), my mom asks me if I even think the car ahead of us had an order. I patiently said maybe this is someone with a large order, perhaps a door dasher. We then see what looked like a medium size cup of tea being passed out to the customer. The truck on our right get their order and pull off. For 5 more minutes the female employee continues talking and laughing. I'm starting to get a little annoyed at this point. Truly thinking more of an order is coming out-but no. The car finally drives off and the dark haired female employee goes into the store and a very tall young guy comes to my car to take my order. I say to him- "Did that young lady just have my mom and I sit here for 15 minutes while she talked to a friend"????? I asked him where is your manager/supervisor and he says she isn't here. I then ask if there was a store number and he says no. I then ask if I could get a receipt. Now mind you there is another vehicle behind my mom and I waiting almost as long as we did. The tall young guy walks to the vehicle behind me, frustrated apparently because I asked for a supervisor, store number and my complaint how rude it was to keep us waiting while the young lady had a conversation for 15 minutes. Another young male employee comes over to finish my order and says the previous customer comes here every Thursday. My response? What does that have to do with keeping me waiting 15 minutes? He apologized and I told him thanks but it wasn't him who owed the apology- it should have come from the young lady who acted like she had NO OTHER CUSTOMERS waiting in the drive- thru- whilst she chatted it up with a friend.
