Greatest day was the day we walked though the DOJO doors. We found our second home for sure. We…read morelove our DOJO family. Sensei Otto and staff are the best mentors for your kids in the area. If you want to train real Karate then this is the place.

I have been going to this dojo for a about six months now…read more Sensei Bob Otto is a very kind and honorable man who puts his students first. I have seen the way he works with the younger students and to help them grow as individuals. They are not only learning karate, but also life skills. How to deal with bullies, how to stand up for themselves, and how to communicate effectively. Bob and his staff really take time with the kids to work with them and help them become the best they can be. I have also seen Sensei Bob Otto and his staff help older adults ease into Karate and the exercises and take their time with them to make sure that they're doing the katas and movements correctly, but also make adjustments if a certain movement is not working for the individual (such as causing pain or discomfort due to not being flexible enough yet - or previous injury). I personally appreciate it when Sensei Otto and staff take the time to show me the proper way to do the katas, strikes, and blocks. I also enjoy the style of karate taught here. Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do. It is a traditional Okinawan karate that is closely related to Southern Shaolin Tiger and Crane Kung Fu. The art has retained a lot of the flowing circular motions seen in Kung Fu. This karate style also shares a similar lineage to Goju-Ryu. This is a very effective karate for learning self defense. In the style there is an inherent focus on conditioning the body for balance and to be able to take hits (if one has to). The blocks learned in this style are also incredibly practical and powerful. They are circular movements and operate kind of like a parry. It takes a bit to learn to do effectively but I can't argue with the practical applications. Sensei Bob Otto also brings other things into the mix to keep things interesting. Sensei Otto is a certified Krav Maga instructor and has some experience in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. He is also a fan of boxing / kick-boxing and will often include drills and techniques from Krav Maga, BJJ, and Boxing/Kickboxing to switch things up, keep things interesting, and as he says "To add more tools to your toolbox". Everyone has been very kind and supportive and has offered me help when I have struggled. This dojo has a very nice family-like atmosphere. I always look forward to classes and always enjoy myself. If you're interested in the martial arts, this is definitely a great place to check out!

My son has been involved in different types of martial arts since he was 4 years old. He told me…read moreover the summer he's ready to move to the next level & would like to possibly compete in MMA. I signed him up to try their complimentary classes. This is the only place I've been to that gives you 2 weeks of complimentary classes to see if you like it. They have quite a few programs available for kids as well as adults. All the instructors are really personable & friendly. The kids really love them & they handle large classes well. After the 2 week trial period my son decided he liked it & we signed up for the program which is a 1 year commitment. They have 3 different program levels available which they offer 3 payment options. You can put a small down payment & pay the rest over monthly installments, the next option is a larger down payment with the balance broken up into 2 more payments or you can pay all at once with a 25% discount off the full price. They offer 2 different age groups of kids classes, one for the little guys up to 5 years old & the older kids up to 12. The classes are a good size, about 20+ kids. Once they warm up they split the group up separating the older & bigger kids from the smaller ones. The classes are run efficiently & the instructors do a good job of keeping the kids focused & on point. They attend competitions during the year if your child is interested in competing. There is also adult classes available.

The setup is super easy to follow. The light system tells exactly where to be, and for how long. On hours where its not super busy you can do your own thing, especially in the back area that is set for standard workouts, you can get a trainer if you wish. I especially like that they offer an modified version for beginners or those with disabilities however check with your doctor beforehand if you have issues as there arent many trainers on the floor. If you're able bodied, looking for a quick efficient workout, definitely check them out.

Don said, not a problem just let me know before the end of the challenge and I can quit no problem so I reached out to him before Halloween which was not even 4 weeks into it & I thought everything was fine but now I'm getting collection calls from HittFit finance department. Not cool! If you haven't joined HittFit Gym, DON'T! It's a scam! They sign you up for the "free" challenge but you can never quit.

The coaches are skilled and genuinely friendly and engaging, and you will push your limits, learning some real boxing along the way. The caution: Be wise. Stretch a full 15 minutes before class starts. Once class starts, there can be peer pressure to do everything coaches say, and to not feel like the weak link in games. Don't let that get you hurt! Be you. Take a break if you need one. Positive highlights: Coaches Seth, Arjay, and Bobby I go to the most because their sessions are really fun and also challenging, and you'll both get a great workout and also come out of it healthy and not overcooked.
