The tech said that I had to give him a 3 hour window - not to listen to the office. I made a 2nd appointment for a 3 hour window. I was told that the tech would call 30 minutes before arrival. after waiting over 2 1/2 hours, I got an e-mail that I was not at home and I needed to reschedule. I called the office within 10 minutes and was told that the tech would call me - an hour later and I have not received a call from him. I should have read the reviews before I called them... luckily, for me they didn't even return my phone call. I sent them pictures of the bugs that were just hanging on the wall , the bugs were always near the vent, so I did a google search on the bugs. It turns out I did t need the company after all!!! All I needed was vinegar or bleach to pour down in the AC/Heating system!!! Thank you fir not returning my call! I had been having trouble with American Cockroaches mostly due to the trees and heat during the summer. After seeing 5 in one week I had had enough. Another company actually sprays the outside of my unit, but obviously it wasn't working, and also their customer service was nothing like Bulwarks. I've used Bulwark for about 17 years. Now, for the first time, I need to contact them. That is, _talk_ to a person. It's impossible. I called 3 phone numbers and went to the same voice response unit each time... the only thing it does is send me a Text line to a web page that lets me send an email. So I'm cancelling the service because they have no customer service. I do recommend their pest control service however. They treat the perimeter of my house every 6 weeks to keep bugs out. And the treatment works. Prices are reasonable, going up only a few dollars each year. All the technicians I've talked to over the years are professional, personable, and really first-class. Too bad I can't say the same about their customer service. read more

Bulwark was recommended to me and when I scheduled my service, the list of services to be performed was outlined to me. When the tech arrived, he didn't know it was a first service (which takes longer). He did some of the items and said he would be back on Saturday to finish the job. He didn't show and when I called Bulwark, then sent another tech who did perform the services but explained that the techs were timed which is why they are always in a rush to get jobs done quickly. I have had them for several months but they never replace the glue traps by the garage door unless I specifically remind them. They also don't sweep the ceilings for cobwebs unless I remind them as well. Pay for service company that really does the job they sell to you. I'm onto another company now! read more

Mark did a very thorough job today with helping us treat our ant problem. He was very friendly, professional, and able to answer a lot of my questions. I would definitely recommend this company for treating bugs inside of your home. Desmar was also extremely helpful and found two ant colonies on the outside of our house. This gave me a lot of relief because we could not figure out where these things were coming from. He took his time searching around the house for ways they were coming inside, I'm very thankful. Last summer we had a pretty bad spider problem outside our house. I bought a single-time Groupon and had Bulwark spray the exterior for spiders. We haven't had a spider yet, but when they sprayed outside it seemed to start driving other critters inside. They guarantee that if you see any kind of bug in your house for 60 days after they come, they'll come back for free. They ended up coming to my house 4 times. A few days after each service, someone would follow up , and as soon as I told them we had seen a bug, they would immediately schedule another appointment (for free), no questions asked. The customer service I received both from the people over the phone and the technicians was nothing short of excellent. The last exterminator gave me his personal phone number and told me I could call him anytime, regardless of nights and weekends. I am blown away by how great these guys are. read more

I've used Bulwark for a year. Unfortunately, the service has been terrible since July. I had to reschedule 3 times because the technicians never showed up. No one contacted me and they still charged me each time. Everytime I spoke with a manager it was the same thing... reschedule and false promises of free service. Finally they show up in August. They charged me instead of providing the free service they previously promised. Apparently, I'm a liar because the 4th manager I talked to said that free promise wasn't in the notes and I had to pay. Don't use them. Even the technician that came and managers I previously spoke with said their service hadn't been what it should! I repeat don't use them! read more

I use Bulwark as my regular pest service. I found them in Groupon and was impressed with their customer service. While most pest companies come every 3 months, Bulwark comes every 2 months. This works out well for me since my backyard is partially woods and I want to keep pests out. I usually don't get the same person treating my house, but all the technicians have been very friendly and accommodating. I had service on 7/1 by Mike Lindsey and he was really great! This miscommunication is not the first or second occurance. Horrible service, none of my issues were ever treated. They claim that they didn't have requests which is a lie, I have texts. Within 1 1/2 hours of my call, three of their trucks pulled up, and I had a mini- army descend upon my home to dismantle all spider webs outside and spray inside. Never fun when you have to call an exterminator but Bulwark came to rescue. Looked up a few places an when we found Bulwark it was the winner. The discount on yelp was nice as well and definitely helps. a few different technicians have come to the house and all seem nice and helpful. Most regularly Ben comes out and he is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Communication is crucial and they will come out in between scheduled appointments as needed. Just give them a call and they will come out. We have been using Bulwark for 6 years now and absolutely LOVE our tech, Marcelo Stanback (we call him Cello). He's always so incredibly friendly and understanding - willing to help however he can. Bulwark has the great guarantee that they will come out and spray if you ever see bugs. That guarantee was pretty ineffective, and they managed a few very quick, haphazard interior sprayings when I kept seeing spiders (and other bugs) inside my home. I always thought it was weird they never sprayed in the garage or attic. I kept getting bugs inside my house! Super frustrating when I kept paying over $35 per month (I think it was $75 every two months), and I kept seeing small spiders, little gnats, and the occasional small cockroach. I got rid of Bulwark (that has an annoying cancellation process that requires some "manager" to keep calling you during dinner time), and started using an inside insecticide and outdoor mosquito and bug spray. During that time, I've spent, at most $10 per month on insecticide, and an average of 15 minutes per month spraying. I've seen nearly zero bugs indoors, and thanks to the outdoor bug sprayer, I get the added plus of no mosquitoes or other flying bugs. I'd highly recommend spending a few minutes during the weekend to spray. It is cheaper and far more effective. read more

I can't believe it took me almost 3 years to fire this company. Zero communication, random bills for services not actually performed, but today was the last straw. In an unannounced visit, Bulwark sprayed absolutely noxious chemicals all around my house while my wife and children were inside, to the extent they were choking on the fumes. Hopefully there are no long term effects of this, but frankly this seems negligent at best. Stay away from the company at all costs. read more
