As someone who is new to this region of the US, I also love how see educates me on the Southern environment and pests/critters I may or may not encounter including what is harmful and not harmful to me and my family (including my fur babies!). I called thinking I had a carpenter ants and Bulwark was worked with me to fit me into their schedule and mine. When Elizabeth came out, she was right on time and very friendly. I shower her the area in question and she immediately informed me we had a termite problem. Elizabeth took the time to explain to us how termites get into our house and what the process would be to treat and set up bait traps. She answered our questions with confidence and professionalism-she obviously knew what she was talking about. At no point did we feel there was pressure to use their service; we went ahead and agreed to a treatment plan. She came out the very next day and went to task and was done in just over two hours. I have been using Bulwark Exterminating for about 4 years now, and have been very impressed with the quality of their work and the care/concern shown by their technicians. We are almost always serviced by the same technician, but when someone else comes in his place, we have found them to be very conscientious as well. Today was a good example of that - our regular technician was on vacation so Michael Fisher came to service our property. He took his time to ensure the latest bug application was evenly applied around our home and inspected the areas where pests like to get in, to ensure proper traps were set. I recently bought a house and, upon move-in, found that the house was crawling with HUGE carpenter ants. I noticed a Living Social deal for Bulwark and, after checking reviews on Yelp and other sites, signed up. From the initial phone call to post-treatment conversations, Bulwark has been VERY impressive. Perhaps most importantly...the ants aren't here any more. And, though I hadn't seen living roaches, I'm now finding the best kind of roaches...dead ones. I had tv/internet installed today and, after leaving the crawlspace, the man commented on the number of dead insects he saw underneath. We have been using Bulwatks in Austin. TX for 20 years. Just added Bulwarks to our home in Carrboro. Very pleased with the techs, especially with the learning curve of what is needed in our heavily wooded neighborhood in North Carolina. I would highly recommend Bulwark! I am a single female and had other pest companies trying to get me to sign up for treatments I didn't need. one company lied about having a mice infestation in my crawlspace. Bollwerk came and said that was a lie- There's no mice in my crawlspace! Bulwark was the only one that was honest with me. I can't recommend them enough! I would ask for Vincent Rice to be your service tech. He is the best service tech that Bulwark has sent to my house! He was thorough and also made sure I knew when it was safe to let my dogs out. I have a yearly plan with Bulwark. They come out once every three months to treat my home for bugs and pests. Recently, just after the quarterly visit, we noticed some bugs in the attic. I called Bulwark and Timothy Chasteen came right over and treated the attic. He was great. Bulwark is doing a great job for us and they truly care that we are completely satisfied with their service. And, they have no problem coming back before the regular scheduled quarterly service to make sure that we are fully protected and satisfied -- at no additional cost. Every interaction with this company exceeds my expectations. My recent follow up with Jesse was somehow both quick and thorough. He came to check on some rodent traps and bait. He showed me where they got in to the bait which explains why I haven't been hearing any scampering in my walls. So happy he was able to take care of them before they nested up in my house. I'd like to add that other than this recent visit, Bulwark has helped me out with roaches creeping in to my house and slugs devouring my plants. Wonderful, expert service. All of the employees are professionals who take pride in their work and aim to solve problems for their customers. Tabatha and Christopher are the main folks who service our property and both are phenomenal. Our lot is relatively wooded, which makes pest control a real challenge, but they've been able to end some very thorny problems. When I've needed additional service beyond scheduled calls, they are quick to come out and will work to eliminate whatever problem is cropping up. I can't recommend Bulwark highly enough. read more

The technician called beforehand and arrived on time. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. I even received a follow up phone call a few days later. I had an appointment scheduled for any and mosquito treatments when I saw a small mouse cross my patio. I texted Bulwark customer service immediately to make them aware. Liz Golder/Bulwark showed up shortly thereafter, actually early. While chatting with her in the backyard, the mouse appeared and my super she-ro, Liz sent it to mouse heaven in no time. Daryle Gee is the best, always so responsive to our concerns and usually he's the one to spot an issue before we've noticed it. I had just yesterday noted some new ant hills in our yard and today without me mentioning it he treated for fire ants. My service provider Mark was so efficient very quick very communicative gave me all the information about what products he was using. What he was doing why he was doing it and what my Home may need to keep it as bug free and unfriendly for them as possible. I've used Bulwark for about 2 years now and the service has always been professional, prompt, and friendly. Lately, we have been dealing with mice in the attic. Thank you to our tech Erik M. who helped check on the traps that were set at the last visit and found and removed one of them that recently caught a mouse. I hate to give the one star, but it won't let you do zero. Yesterday 7/28/21 one of the employees was witnessed deliberately swerving into geese that were in the street on Yates Store Road in Cary, seriously injuring several. Attempts to contact the company have been sadly disappointing. There is no reason for this violence and while we didn't want to blame Bulwark for the viciousness of one pathetic employee, their lack of response is appalling as well. read more
