Highly recommend Neuse Termite & Pest Control for routine inspections and ant control. They offer excellent customer service with clear fees and service times. We have been customers for several years now and pay the $160 annual inspection fee plus any treatment we request. This year we asked for an ant treatment. The cost of these treatments depends on the size of the treatment area, for us it was $95 and was definitely worth it. It is easy to contact Neuse and pay bills. Always good to find a locally owned and operated business that does good work but provides great customer service. They spray my yard 2x a year for fire ants and other problem bugs. Yard was infested with fire ants when we purchased the home 8 months ago. First treatment kept them away 100%. A small amount came back in the spring as expected. A mother treatment and good to go. Tech was great. Made sure where I wanted it to be sprayed. Even insisted on helping me move some new deck furniture to the deck when he finished. . Thanks PJ. Good pest control service but not a stable place to work at. This company will hire and fire you before you 90 days for absolutely nothing. If you are someone of colored or different ethnicity and they hire you... you will be fired before your 90 days. I've spoken to a couple of old coworkers myself and they had the same problem. They will tell you they're having a meeting but no one will tell you what time. Bill and Scott do not care about their new employees as much as they make it seem. They don't care about your personal life as well. Amber is a scheduling manager with this company who works hard to get you fired and she will succeed sadly. I do think everyone is in cahoots to get you fired before your 90 days approach. The only wholesome person that works there is Libby and Jennifer, those ladies were amazing to me and I was very much thankful to have had someone to understand me there. Everyone in office is very iffy and always look at you funny (especially Scott and Bill). The pay is good but it's not worth feeling uncomfortable and like you don't belong. They let a lot of their other employees get away with murder but will plan to fire you if you make a TINY mistake. They couldn't give me a real reason why I gotten fired only that I make TINY mistakes when I've only been there for 3 months and there's employees that's been there for years and still make worst mistakes then I have. I have used Neuse Pest Control since I moved to Clayton several years ago. I was happy with their service treating Fire Ants & other issues until my call today. I am giving a 2 star because of my experience calling to schedule another treatment and report another issue. 5:24 p.m. My call was answered by T***. I stated I had service a few months ago & needed to schedule for someone to come out again. I was rudely interrupted & told they were here 3 months ago and I would be charged another Service fee. I never explained what my issues were & I never anticipated or expected a free service call. I assume I called close to the end of the business day and not given the chance to even explain what the issues were. The Service call $$$ fee was her topic. Nevertheless, I can certainly contact another pest control company to take care of my needs. I have never had an issue with paying for my service and thought the interruption was rude and uncalled for. Thanks T***, you lost my business with Neuse. read more

!!!!MILLION DOLLAR COVERAGE IS A LIE!!! Got a contract with these thieves last year to have our shed and home treated for termites. The paperwork shows I had active termites inside the home but not the shed. 1 year later we paid to keep our annual inspection updated and received an inspection report stating we had no activity on the property. Including the shed. I have videos and pictures of termites in the shed from the same day the inspection was completed. I have damages to my shed and would like compensation. I was told and it is truly on the contract-NO PAST PRESENT OR FUTURE DAMAGES WILL BE COVERED BY NUSE. So basically they got a little over $1k to do nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Use anyone else and read your contract. All this "we offer a million dollar coverage" is absolutely a lie. That is for the chemicals not damages to your home. They are absolute trash. read more

It's an alright company so far. I'm just not sure I needed them. I just bought the house and it was sprayed down by Bug Out beforehand, so I didn't actually need them doing anything inside the house. I called them because I wanted my lawn treated as a precursor to lawn maintenance. I wanted them to take care of the insects causing my lawn disease while it was still hot outside. They said they didn't do that, but they would spray around the outside of my house. I let them do it because that's where I also have a lot of garden insects. I guess I wanted somebody to do something lol. Bottom line - I don't need them because they didn't offer a service that I needed. But they were cool on the phone, the guy who came out to spray was friendly and they seem like they know how to take care of a customer. I can't gauge if their product is any good. We have been using Neuse for termite and pest control since 2012. We usually have ants in the warmer months, so we get a quarterly spray for $75. This spray will kill ants, roaches, silverfish, crickets and spiders and is safe for your dogs and cats, which I love. The technician always looks under the house in the crawl space and around our property for potential issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our technician wore a face mask, gloves and used shoe protectors, so that was greatly appreciated. Customer service is also excellent. I have been using Neuse Termite & Pest control for 5 years now for termite control. Just recently I started a pest control service with them as well and they have been wonderful! The technician who came out for the initial service was great. He found the source of the problem and immediately started to take care of it. I owned a home on a wooded lot, which meant bugs! So I had quarterly service, which cost $75 and they would return for free if there were issues between treatments. They removed and wasp nests and spider webs on their visits. Sprayed interior and exterior. I also did annual termite inspections with them. read more

I had them out to house a month and a half ago to take care of my annual ant problem. i don't know what they sprayed, but I have more ants now. A lot more. Yes, it's a seasonal thing but I've had other services come out in the spring and I'm good all through the summer. Maybe they used sugar water, or just plain water. Never using them again. read more

We have been using this service for some time. We always have to call back because the ants, Waterbugs, and stink bugs don't go away. If anything, they get worse. I think part of the problem is they don't spray under the house. We keep our house fairly clean and clean our counters after every time we cook or make food. Every day we have to kill hundreds of ants. The last person to come out and spray stayed for 5 minutes and didn't even spray inside. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone else. read more

Shady Advertising. We got a Direct Mail piece from these guys entitled 'Termite Renewal Notice.' They make a bunch of statements in the letter like 'continue your coverage' and the first line actually says 'The Neuse Termite and Pest Control would like to continue the Termite Protection on Your Home' I have not done business with this company and had to go back in my records to determine that this is not the company that I use for Termite Protection on my house. At least when all of the car warranty companies and appliance warranty companies contact you with 'extended service' they put disclaimers on that they have not done business with you before. Neuse Termite and Pest control needs to check with a lawyer to ensure that what they are doing is even legal. There are no disclaimers on their Direct Mail piece that indicate they are soliciting for new business and the entire piece is designed to make you think you are continuing your current service with THEM - not with the company that you originally contracted with. This has the potential to cause at best some confused people and at worst unintended cancellation of contracts (i.e. lost money) that are already in place. Not cool. read more

I don't recommend this company, they have bad business practices. I just realized my house didn't get termite inspection for almost two years and called Neuse Termite. It turned out they cancelled my account in the second year. When called to question what happened, they first said they should have called and mailed to me about my annual inspection which apparently is the pre-requirement to keep the account active. While I told them I didn't get the phone call or mail, then the representative changed tone and insisted that they mailed and called. Very bad experience. At minimum, they should talk to me (Neuse has my phone in their system) before they cancel my account.. ===== Update ==== Once the news got to the manager, he investigated and corrected the problem immediately. He made multiple attempts to reach me and reactivated my account. Just bought my house, so this was a 1st time treatment for pests. "Bob" was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He did a meticulous and thorough job spraying my 1700 sq ft house and its 0.79 acre front/back yard. There was a downpour immediately afterwards, and he stated he would return the following week to do the outside again at no charge, because of the rain. I didn't even have to ask. I live in a townhouse with an HOA that has a contract with Neuse Termite & Pest Control. Found termites under a potted plant in a garden bed about two feet from the house last year and was told that they needed to be within 6 inches of the house for them to be considered a concern. Seemed a little suspect, but whatever. This year, I found termites under a rock that was touching my house. I called my HOA who contacted Neuse, and it took them two days to call me back only to tell me that they don't normally treat until I've found the termites mud tubes, but that they'd call me back to schedule someone to come out and take a look. ...so, you're telling me that you're not going to come take care of the termites until AFTER they've done damage to the structure? Really? I have also gotten a second opinion who said that they should've taken care of the termites last year when I first found them. A day and a half later, and they still have not called back to schedule a visit, and I've already followed up. Communication is definitely lacking. Should not take two days to get in touch every time, especially if you have a contract, otherwise what's the point? Not sure how they're able to call themselves termite control when they won't do anything about termites until after they've invaded your home, even though they're pretty much on your house now. read more

Don't waste your money for no guarantee even after just 4 weeks. The guys they have spraying are great. The woman I spoke to the other day was rude and obnoxious. Her customer service skills leave much to be desired. In talking with my neighbors, who recomend them, they are paying 95 for what I'm being charged 125 for, we all have the same size lot. I had them come spray anyway. Next year we will be going with a different company due to their inconsistent pricing and horrible customer service in their office. I had a bed bug issue - no idea where it came from and I was devastated. I called NTPC and someone arrived within a couple of hours to evaluate. I received the information I needed to get started prepping my home for the treatment. Chris was my contact person and he was available for me to text anytime day or night with any questions. He was always very responsive and very courteous. I felt confident that the issue was being handled by experts. It has been two weeks since the treatment and all seems fine now.
