I asked them about shutters and they immediately shut me down saying they were too expensive. When I contacted HWB, Bryan responded right away and came out. I was having a lot of work done at the house when he came but he was patient and took his time showing me options and making recommendations. When I asked about shutters he explained the pros and cons and had actual samples ao I could see how they would look on my windows. He took measurements of all the windows and advised me what would and would not work. Bryan was personable and knowledgeable. He was patient as we weighed our options and answered our emailed questions quickly. The prices were reasonable and he gave me hope when we found out many of our windows were now super shallow. The installer came on time, was efficient and super nice. They explained how to care for the shutters and that they had a life time warranty. The reason this not a 5 is that there are a few gaps between the screen and the wall. One area running the entire height of the screen is especially bothersome. I was told that because it is up against an uneven brick surface they can't do anything about it . Not because it's UN fixable, but because they just don't do that. They suggested I get "some stuff" from the hardware store and fix it myself, saying that their caulk wouldn't work. I am going to have the remaining portion of my patio screened but now I think maybe I'll find someone else who can do the complete job.

Kim Van Wieren came out to do my in-home estimate, and he brought a massive amount of samples to look through. The salesperson was very helpful describing the various use and light transparency of each product. The products are very high quality, but the salesperson could not give me a ball park figure of the cost even if I gave them the dimensions of my project. It was explained the store has someone come out to your residence, measure your windows then provide you with a cost estimate. If you have the time and flow of funds cool, but it seems like the store caters to the clientele of the immediate area. Neither good or bad, just my observation.

This was definitely not the case with Legacy as the blinds were ready and installed in a week after Jaronne came to measure. I couldn't believe it. Jaronne even made an extra trip back with a new Valance after one was slightly damaged. Also, to install one of the blinds required drilling through delicate tiles and brick but it was no issue for Jaronne. The faux wood blinds look great and were a great value as well.
