RUN! This is by far the worst run company I've dealt with. We did an extensive remodel and worked with every subcontractor you can imagine. The only vendor that we had issues with was Creative Blinds. They have the worst customer service. If you want a GREAT company, use The Shade Shop on Richmond (not the chain). They installed blinds for my sister and were happy to help me with the installation problem that Creative Blinds was unwilling to stand behind. They are full of excuses so I'm sure they will have one for this post. read more

Currently doing a remodeling project and this store caught my eye for a window treatment idea. The inside showroom is quaint and displayed Hunter Douglas products of various models. The salesperson was very helpful describing the various use and light transparency of each product. The products are very high quality, but the salesperson could not give me a ball park figure of the cost even if I gave them the dimensions of my project. It was explained the store has someone come out to your residence, measure your windows then provide you with a cost estimate. If you have the time and flow of funds cool, but it seems like the store caters to the clientele of the immediate area. Neither good or bad, just my observation. read more

Went to pick up a shade that my boyfriend had ordered. As soon as I walked in, the two employees were slow to acknowledge my presence even though the store was empty. I informed the store clerk that I was "here to pick up blinds" and she said, "you mean blind." Her tone was condescending. I don't know what happened to you, Madam, but there's never a reason to be rude to a customer who was otherwise having a good day and being cheerful to you. I wish you luck in resolving your personal issues. By the way, the shade looks great and fit perfectly. We installed it ourselves. read more

I went to several companies to shop around for shades because we just bought a new house with tons of windows. I met with two that came into my house, did measurements, helped me decide which blinds are for me and gave me a quote. For the same designer shades, creative blinds price was comparable to 3 day blinds. Warranty was also the same. I had a good experience with Sharon. she really helped me choose what was best for my house. She was knowledgeable and could read my style very well. I decided to go with creative blinds bc of all the reviews I read about 3 day blinds installation problem. Unfortunately, my installation experience with creative blinds was worst than most of the reviews I read about 3 day blinds. Alfredo who installed my shades was great. He did a great job, friendly, on time, etc. However, he could only install half of the windows because half the parts were wrong. I was very understanding. I didn't get mad. I understand things happen. He came in the second time.. Same thing. Not everything was right. Th same mistake that was made was not corrected. So he had to come in the 3rd time. You would think that they would make sure everything was correct before sending the installer out to my house. But no, I guess they didn't feel the need because they knew they already had my money. I guess me spending 5 figures on shades still did not make me important enough. It reminds me of that server who serves a big group of people and knows he is going to automatically get 20% tip so doesn't care about giving exceptional service. read more

We purchased the window shades from the kirby location for the whole house during the Harvey repair/renovation. We are happy with the shades. However, the reason for subtracting 2 stars is the unprofessional conduct of the installer, who left boxes, plastic, and nails in various rooms after the job and did not care to clean up! My 4 year old son found a few of them and luckily handed them to me. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Creative Blinds - Ginny was my primary contact and was so incredibly helpful and attentive (same with everyone that we worked with at Creative Blinds). I recently moved and have been working with numerous contractors/vendors/etc...my mom has been helping me and we both agreed the window coverings project has been hands down the easiest part of the whole process. I was pretty certain as to what I wanted, but Ginny still helped us think through options before ultimately settling on Hunter Douglas duette shades. She came out to measure the windows right away, and when we decided a couple days later that we wanted blinds on even more windows, she made time in her schedule and came out the next day to do the additional measurements. The price was extremely competitive, and more importantly the shipment and installation was super fast. Eric did the installation and was very professional and efficient. The time from when we placed the order to the final installation couldn't have been much more than a week, which was so helpful (and such a nice change from everything else which takes twice as long as what people promise). The shades are sturdy and look so great throughout the house - my husband and I can't get over the difference from the dirty old blinds that were there previously! It gave our house an instant facelift. We will have more windows to recover later in our redecorating process, and Creative Blinds/Ginny will be my only call. Strong recommendation from me for price/efficiency/superior service. read more
