Bumblebeee Preschool was so wonderful for our daughter. She learned so much academically and is so ready to enter school. I recently toured Bumblebee Preschool and it was such a great experience. I had the pleasure of meeting the most hands on director of all of the preschool I toured, Mrs. Tammie! The school is very clean organized and kid friendly. Bumblebee is family to us Both my kids attended Bumblebee from the start of 2 years of age to 6 years of age. The best experience with such love, open arms and support. The kids receive 3 meals a day & snacks in between. The hours are perfect (7am to 6pm). The best rates in OC (with proven research). My son was diagnosed with Autism at 2.5 years old. I was confused and scared with this new journey we were about to navigate. With no hesitation (True Angels) they were so supportive and patient with my son. My son was non-verbal and over time he began to speak and develop those basic skills with their support. The kids are provided with curriculum such as (shapes/colors/writing/socializing) to prepare them for elementary. Summer are so much fun with water days. Christmas is always a great recital and the kids would learn Christmas songs. Spring Photos are the cutest . We even received support with potty training (huge help) for any parent in that transition. You can check in at anytime and always get a quick response and a picture to remind you they are in good hands. Everyday we are greeted with smiles, hugs and love.... Our son started this preschool when he was two years old and recently stopped to start Pre -K at the school near our home. We have had such great experiences and memories with all the teachers who are passionate about their job and really care about the children. My son has learned a lot and well-prepared for Pre-K this month. He always talked about how much fun he had and what he learned from school. The school used the Dojo app to provide daily updates to the parents and communication. The school provided daily healthy and yummy meals and snacks. My son just graduated from Bumblebee and he had a wonderful, educational, and fun time here. He already misses Bumblebee and all the teachers already! The school has a great curriculum with monthly plans. I was very fascinated at how fast my son went through potty training. He had a tough time at home, but once he was in Bumblebee he was able to independently go on his own within 3 months. I was very surprised. When he got to the preschool class, he learned how to write his name, recognized/write so many sight words, and did many fun arts/crafts by the time he graduated. I was very impressed. All thank you to the teachers -- Ms C, Ms Laura, Ms Katie, Ms Tammie; they all are absolutely incredible teachers who are patience and very nurturing. The staff at Bumblebee Preschool are amazing. My first son went there at age of 2.5yrs - 5.5yrs old and he has learned so much from all the teachers there. He is more than prepared for Kindergarten this Fall. The school has a great curriculum and great communication. There was no hesitation when my second son was ready for preschool. We have been sending our son to Bumblebee for the past 2 years and we couldn't be happier. Like many parents with a 1st child, we were anxious about locating a good childcare center. Fortunately, we were recommended by a friend about Bumblebee back in 2018 and that's when we first decided to enroll our son into this preschool. We continue to enroll our second child here who will be graduating from the school this month. I have a deep sadness right now because tomorrow will be my second son's "graduation " from Bumblebee. We sent both our sons here and have fond memories of all the activities, food, parties, and the cute performances they did. When I was looking for a pre school, I visited at least 5 or 6 before I found this place. I had my checklist like most parents, but what stood out to me about this little preschool is the genuiness of the staff, especially Ms. Tammie, the director. Some places look really good on paper, but when you come and visit, the reality doesn't match. I think as a parent, you will know when the place is right for your kids. For me, it was just how down to earth and genuine Ms. Tammie and the teachers seem....therevwas no pretentiousness, no show being put up when you visit, and there was no pressure to enroll. Anyways, long story short I sent my two boys here. There were no drama or anything negative...just lots of laughter and good memories. My older son still asks if he can go back to Bumblebee during winter and summer break. Although I am not big on academic when choosing a preschool (for me it's more about the social emotional development and learning to get along w others), both of my sons learned everything they needed to be ready for kindergarten. They came in not knowing much and came out knowing all their letters, sounds, sight words, numbers and more.... my older son actually picked up reading while he was there. This is a safe place with kind and loving teachers...and "yummy food" according to my kids. I will miss it dearly ! read more

I normally don't leave reviews but this place deserves to be my very first Yelp review! IMO, there is no such thing as perfection so five stars reviews are a little generous. Perhaps some people are easier graders than others. There is always room for Businesses to improve so I would say BumbleBee Preschool is around 4.7-4.8, definitely more than 4 stars but not 5. All 3 of my kids went here during pre-Covid, Covid, and post-Covid times. Safety - is the school 100% childproof? No. And neither is home. Accidents can happen anytime and anywhere. In fact, 1 of my kids came home one day with an obvious scratch mark on the chin and we later found out that another parent "forgot" to clip their kid's fingernails. Kids will be kids and we cannot control how other parent raise their own kids either. But the school alway tried their best, given the situation and given what they had to deal with at the time (aka other parents too). I should note that the school is gated and classrooms are locked and those are added safety measures to prevent unnecessary lockdown situation. Sanitation - they take cleanliness seriously and even dedicated 1 day out of the year closing down the school to do deep clean, which I appreciate. I did see teachers on several occasions thoroughly cleaning the toys thorough out the day. Staff - good teachers who seemed to care about the students' well-beings. We went through a handful of teachers and the kids seemed to like all of them eg Ms C, Ms H, Ms Diep, Ms Yuri, Ms Nhi, Ms Katherine, Ms Laura, Ms Gisel, Ms Katie and the most important of all, Mrs Tammie. On 1 occasion, a relatively new teacher was let go because she refused to get a Covid shot, at the peak of the pandemic. I applauded Mrs Tammie for making such decision as that proved that the kids' safety are her #1 priority. Hence, the school takes staffing seriously and only select/retain those teachers that have their hearts in teaching while keeping the kids safe. Curriculum - on par with state-wide curriculum so no complaints there. The kids had homework at one point in time, which I liked, but it was removed since some parents complained that it was too much homework for their own kids. Tuition - very affordable and competitive compared to other Preschools out there. I've looked into other places, which either have part time (4 hrs) or full time (8+ hrs). While it was out of my budget to do full time and part time wouldn't be enough time for me to commute from work back/forth but we found a middle ground in between and that worked. Pickup Policies - Mrs Tammie were reasonable when I had to pickup late sometimes, due to traffic. We just need to let her know as soon as it occurs, out of courtesy. We also need to be mindful that they have to abide by the teachers/students ratio, as dictate by the State, so when she seemed strict about late pickup, it was for that same reason. And it was understandable. Communication - the school was very prompt to notify me whenever things happened and/or when there were changes. Some reviews mentioned Mrs Tammie's inability to accommodate the schedule change as she takes in more students. It also happened to us, but to a lesser extent. As with everything else, when a business gets more crowded, service quality/customer satisfaction seems to take a hit. It's all about open communication and each side has to compromise. Meals - can it be better? Yes. But is it a deal breaker? No. They provide meals and snacks onsite so less hassles to haul lunchboxes back and forth. Keep in mind that the school has to balance between meals that would work for all, if not most of the kids, and at the same time, will not be a choking hazard. Hence, the common food seems to be chicken nuggets, noodles, rice, etc. And we can live with that. Events - there are plenty of social events for the kids eg birthday parties always top the list, seasonal celebrations (Halloween & Easter), Christmas performance, Lunar New Year, etc. Potty-training - my kids were potty trained by the school but note that parents have to enforce it at home too. Consistency is key. So when some reviews mentioned that potty training did not work for them/their kids, there could be plethora of reasons but the school should NOT be the one and only reason why it did not succeed. It always take two to tango. Disclosure: Some of the reviews mention that their kids are now in GATE but note that while BumbleBee Preschool did/do churn out kids that are now in GATE, but those kids gotta be born with smart genes first. So be reasonable and don't expect the school to shape all kids into another Einstein at Graduation. All in all, the school did help tremendously in building a solid foundation for my kids and they were ahead of their classmates in TK. Flex moment, 1 of my kids did skip a grade, and I attribute their current success to BumbleBee Preschool. read more

I started both my kids (son and daughter) here at about 15 months. They loved and cared for my children as soon as they do could walk and have solids. She served (breakfast, lunch and dinner ~3:30 ish). This was great for full time working parents. It was a great place to have them socialize with their peers and play. They were always happy to be there. I made great memories with both parents and staff here. We loved all the staff: Ms C, Ms Laura, Ms Priscilla, Ms. Katie, and Ms Jenn. Ms Tammie (the owner/director) is fun and kind, you can tell she really loves her school, staff, and children. She treats you like family. She hosts tons of fun events for the children and parents (all the fun events from Halloween parades, Christmas show, mother's/father's day events and Lunar New Year festivities), I really appreciated ALL these events. My kids still talk about the teachers. I would've stayed longer with my last one too but my son's school was further away and the commute was hard on us. I'm a speech therapist and I'm usually good with all early childhood areas but they definitely taught me and supported me with potty training for BOTH my children. Bumblebee really does support the children's independent skills (self feeding, potty , transitions, etc) and really prepares the children for TK and K. Again, grateful for Ms Tammie and her wonderful Bumblebee PK/Daycare. I would recommend this place for anyone transitioning out of home daycare when they're child turns 15 months. ;) read more

Both my boys went to Bumble Bee from the moment they were old enough until Kinder. My husband and I ADORED this school and the staff since the moment our oldest started there. They are loving, truly care about the kids and treat each kids with true individual care. Can't say enough about how much I love them. From day one it was so obvious that the staff payed attention to each child's needs and made sure they were cared for based on their own needs. They're patient, kind and caring and made sure my boys were taught to be the same. I felt that they always held a perfect line between kindness, patience and appropriate discipline that I knew they were truly helping me raise good kids. They have a great focus on academics but also organized fun and engaging activities to keep the kids excited and active. I haven't even mentioned yet that they feed the kids three meals and snack (my boys eat a lot so that was awesome for us) and they actually have a cook on staff who makes the food which I think is so wonderful. The menu is varied, some traditional stuff like Mac n cheese or chicken nuggets but they also do some noodle or rice and veggies/meat dishes (with Vietnamese flare) but nothing too exotic. I thought, "my kids won't eat Bun Rieu" but they did! I actually really appreciated the exposure to something different. They also potty trained both my boys who were completely opposite when it came to interest and they handled each at their own pace. They're saints!! I've recommended Bumble Bee to anyone I've ever worked with or lived near and they've all thanked me and loved it equally! The location is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in a building behind a church next to the neighborhood garden. They have two nice outdoor spaces for the kids to play and access for drop off and pick up is always easy. There is genuinely nothing that I didn't love about this school and all the staff. My youngest just started TK and I'm so sad to not see and chat with the teachers every day before and after work. They were a part of our families lives for over 9 years and I consider us extraordinary lucky to be able to say that. This is definitely a long overdue review, given that my son has been here since he was 18 months. When we first enrolled him, we had searched multiple places...many places were too costly and had limitations on either hours or food. Also this was at the beginning of Covid when everything was uncertain and very scary. Somehow I came upon this school and set up a tour. The school is located behind a church, tucked away in a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. Parking is ample. The playground is clean and safe. We met with Ms Tammie and the first meeting gave us all the reassurance we needed! She was understanding, flexible, and sincerely wanted to help us. Fast forward 2.5 years and I couldn't be happier to entrust my son to the staff here. Early on, Ms Tammie expressed her concerns about my son's struggles with social skills. It was the most difficult, vulnerable, genuine, and caring conversation we had. I knew she cared tremendously about him. We definitely have shared tears and joys. He was pretty resistant with potty training too and Ms Tammie and Ms C were FABULOUS in guiding not only him but us parents. They didn't rush, they didn't make us feel bad. They didn't mind however many wet pants they had to clean up. They were like his second moms. He is now in Ms Laura's class and I can go on and on about the powerful impact she's made on him. He just BLOOMS. Her compassion, calm demeanor, and patience set her apart. He loves her so much, and he loves that she speaks Spanish to him. I am comforted knowing that my son is in good hands every day I drop him off. And everyday when I pick him up, he is energetic, he is clean, he is fed, and he is happy!!! Our now 10 year old still remembers how his favorite meal was the delicious soup they had and we feel so confident that our daughter will be ready for the next step in schooling for Kinder. Over the years, all of the staff and teachers have been so kind and welcoming. It's so nice that the teachers always had open communication with us and an easily accessible app that we could log into to view pictures and videos of school and daily events as well as posting reminders for upcoming special and fun school events! We are so very thankful and feel so lucky to have found such a great preschool that has provided so many great memories that we will hold onto forever! :) read more
