I have three children; two have attended Bumblebee in the past, and one is due to start this fall. Tammie and her team are dedicated, professional, and really care about helping children thrive. I appreciate the daily teacher parent communication and photos through their app. My two older boys both entered Kindergarten at our local public school extremely well prepared with strong reading and math foundational skills. My daughter has been at Bumblebee Preschool over 3 years. She started when she was 19 months. All of her teachers have been so kind, nice and caring. I am not one to leave reviews but for bumble bee, I feel the need to. Both of my boys went from the age of 2 all the way till they got into kindergarten and my third will soon be attending. I cannot say enough about this preschool. It's always hard to leave your child in another care, so naturally picking a preschool is difficult but at bumble bee I never worried after dropping the boys off. The staff is hands down amazing. They are so kind and caring. Ms. Tammie the director was so loving and patient, she always made sure not only were the boys taken cared of, she would send me updates and photos if I ever had a hard time with drop offs. It instantly felt like leaving your kids with aunties. My boys now in kindergarten and 2nd grade both still talk about Ms. Tammie and would often say they wish they were still at bumble bee. Also, academically when they entered kindergarten they already had a head start. It was an easy transition for both boys and neither had trouble keeping up because of what they were taught at bumble bee. The kindergarten teacher often praised the boys for their advanced knowledge. The drop off and pick up times work well for any busy work schedule and the kids were always well fed. The food is always homemade and they were always very attentive at responding to any questions or concerns. The facility is very clean and organized and lots of age appropriate activities. My review of Bumblebee Preschool is long overdue. I felt compelled to write my review after reading the below one-star rating that I believe is unjust and simply inaccurate. We lived in Anaheim 5 years ago and we needed an infant daycare for our 2 month old son. I personally visited and/or interviewed 28 different daycares within a 10-mile radius before selecting another daycare located in Anaheim. Our search criteria were: 1.) Safety (What measures are in place to ensure our child is safe? Is the staff vetted, trained and qualified? 2.) Environment (Does the staff possess the necessary qualities to care for young children? Is there a stimulating curriculum? Is the facility clean and child friendly? Is there food provided and is it healthy? How do the other children behave towards one another and the staff? What ground rules are set by the staff? How involved and responsive is the management? Are there add-on classes and field trips to broaden their development?; 3.) Reputation (Were there symptomatic complaints and inspection report findings? What do fellow parents say?). With rising daycare costs and unsatisfactory customer service, we had no choice but to seek for alternative daycares to our former Anaheim daycare. We were referred by a friend that drives over 10 miles in the opposite direction of her work commute to drop off and pick up her kids at Bumblebee. Now, we fully understand why we aren't the only parents willing to commute to this safe haven for our kids. During our initial Bumblebee tour over 3 years ago, we were shocked, relieved and amazed that Bumblebee met and exceeded ALL of our requirements and the only reason we didn't find them sooner was because our search radius didn't extend to Santa Ana. Ms. Tammie is not only warm, kind, genuine, hardworking, accommodating and generous person, but her hands-on management style ensures she has a pulse in every aspect of the daycare operation so that issues are resolved quickly and communication is timely to give working parents a peace of mind while being away. It is without a doubt that the children's overall wellbeing are her and her staff's top priority and no amount of money can buy this form of passion and dedication. The focus on our children's enrichment and development is exemplified in the regular child assessments to review progress and gaps, Bloomz app with daily updates and photos/videos, new lessons on letters and vocabulary each week, age appropriate art projects, cooking lessons for the older kids, field trips, Webby Dance instruction, Lunar New Year celebration with dragon dancers, Valentine's Day exchanges, Easter egg hunts, Mother and Father's Day celebrations with handmade personalized gifts, water play day, bring your bike to school day, Trunk or Treat, top notch Christmas show delivered every year with hundreds of friends and family members gathering to watch their little ones perform and so much more. In addition, the daycare is clean and organized with new toys and educational tools added to classrooms and rotated regularly so that the children are always engaged and stimulated. Have there been fevers, throw ups, potty accidents, fights over toys, bumps and bruises over the last 3 years? Absolutely. Our kids will be kids, but the staff does their best to mitigate and remediate any issues that may arise. We have since moved from Anaheim to Cypress (even further away from the daycare), but there is no other place that we will have our children while we work besides Bumblebee. We now have our soon-to-be 5 year old son and 3 year old son enrolled and our 3 month old daughter will join once she is ready. Thanks to Bumblebee, our boys listen to and respect their teachers, love their friends, are potty trained, know how to read and write numbers, alphabet and sight words, get excited about learning and view their daycare as a second home away from home. I know I'm not the only parent that wholeheartedly recommends Bumblebee Preschool to anyone looking for the best care for their child(ren). We love Ms. Katie, Mrs. Tammie and everyone here at Bumblebee Preschool. Mrs. Tammie is very nice and reachable. Whenever we need something, we can just text her, and she will respond to us as soon as possible. Ms. Katie, our daughter's teacher, is the best! Our daughter started here when she was three years old without knowing how to write or read. After 10 months of studying here, she can write her full name and some simple sentences, recognize and write her alphabet in lower case, and upper case, recognize and write numbers from 0 to 100, colors, shapes, days, months of the years, sight words, doing simple Math, and many more things that i can never imagine that she would know how to do...especially every night nowadays she wants to read a simple book by herself. She was a shy kid, but they taught her to be confident and speak up for herself. All thanks to her teacher and all the staff there. She really loved the school, Ms. Katie, Mrs. Tammie and all the teachers there. And she loved the food, too. I was amazed at how much my daughter has learned after a year going to Bumblebee Preschool. The dropping off and picking up time is also very flexible for us since we are both working full time. We really missed Bumblebee Preschool as now my daughter is moving to her next chapter, but I'm confident she will do well in her TK and K because of all the knowledge she has learned from her preschool. I'm so sad that I have to be the first one to leave a bad review. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter went to school here. After all the emotions of trying to find a place for my daughter and doing my research. I was happy I found this place. Unfortunately 2 weeks in and she gets hurt here. Yes, I get a call/text telling me she stepped on her dress during a diaper change. We ended up taking her to the ER for the walnut size bump on her forehead. Fortunately, she didn't have anything serious except exposing her to radiation for the CT scan, ER bill, and me losing hours at work. At least she was ok. We took their apologies as sincere. Although this should have been a red flag not to bring her back here. Tammie really made feel so comfortable in the beginning. Being that I am a Registered Nurse, my days are not always consistent during the week. So Tammie said as long as I get her my schedule a month in advance she would work with me. Even when my days were not consistent enough for her, I went to my manager at work to keep my days as consistent as possible. We had agreed that I would bring my daughter either Tue, Wed, Fri or Tue, Thur, Fri. Then I get a text 2 months later that she was getting more kids. All of a sudden, she can not accommodate my schedule. I felt discriminated because of my schedule. I felt so emotional because here we go again trying to find a new place for my daughter. I really felt Tammie only cares about this business $$$. She was so warm and welcoming to becoming cold and careless. We were promised potty training for an additional $30/month. $690 for 3 days/week. My daughter never got potty trained. The teachers were great. Some had language barriers. Food they serve is ok. Dry waffles, cereal, macaroni and noodles. Rooms are secure and locked. Esp close to a sketchy park next to it. Very clean from what I saw. They have a lot activities for the kids. Really liked Ms Tammie and many teachers here, but was told my daughter could not start potty training because they could only handle potty training two kids at a time in the class. Also really rubbed me the wrong way when I was told my daughter's diaper had to be fresh upon drop off because "we send your child home with a clean diaper, so you need to bring her to school with a clean diaper." I mean, we make quite a commute there so it's very hard to prevent your child from soiling their diaper. Their response was, "you can change her diaper in here (in the school)." How weird is that? I'm glad our new school doesn't have these strange policies and is happy to take over 100% of the care upon drop off. read more

I searched high and low for a loving daycare and found it at Bumblebee. My son has been going there for a year and a half and we have had nothing but positive experiences. My wife and I were so nervous about taking our 4 1/2 year old daughter to any childcare. It was a nerve wrecking experience because who can you in trust your child to? This place was amazing from the beginning visit. They provided us with a tour of location, we were introduced to teacher and kids. We were provided with a lot of information and decided to go with them. Director, Ms. Tammy, provided us with pics of our daughter during her first week. Food options are great, field trips are cool and most importantly out daughter is being academically challenged. Thank you Ms. Katie for all your hard work. I was a little nervous putting my 3 year old son in day care. But once he started after the first week he didn't cry anymore. Ms. Tammy and Ms. Gaby are so good with my son. I appreciate how patient they are with him especially because I know how active my son is. I see him progressing, he sings to me all the time. Loves counting and singing the Alphabet song with me. Always talking to me about his teacher Ms. Gaby. He loves Ms. Tammy as well, runs to her every time we walk into the Preschool. I appreciate all the staff there. All 3of my kids have gone here and they all loved it! They have a very strong academic program. My 2 older kids breezed through kinder, first and second grade because they had such a good foundation from their preschool. Surprisingly, the price is very reasonable for what you get too! As a parent I was very anxious about finding the right daycare/preschool for my 2 kids. Over the course of 3 years, my kids bounced from one daycare/preschool to the next. They all seem to charge a ton of $$$ or had inattentive caretakers more interested with their cell phones than taking care of the kids. When I found out Mrs. Tammie had opened a preschool, I readily handed over my 2 kids. It was better than having a trusted relative watch over your kids. At least you know they won't be watching TV or playing with the iPad all day! Mrs. Tammie and her staff of amazing instructors made my kids feel welcomed and safe. They keep the kids engaged and give them instruction to develop the thinking, language, and early literacy skills needed for continued school success. Their facility is clean and safe. On top of that, the kids are provided snack and meals! My kids started with Bumblebee Preschool when they were located in Garden Grove and moved with them when they expanded and relocated to Santa Ana, their current location. Bumblebee Preschool watched over and nurtured my kids for about 3 years. When they entered Kindergarten, they were way ahead of their classes in all subjects! Today, they are both in the GATE Program (Gifted and Talented Education Program). I would like to think part of their success is due to Bumblebee Preschool and the rest is mom and dad's genes. As parents, you probably can relate with me when it comes to leaving your kids in the hands of others. I was referred to this school by a friend who also have her kids there. I was surprised to receive pictures of my kids for the first 2 weeks as I didn't think school would do that for you. It eased my mind to see my boy was doing fine at school since he has always been home and doesn't know how to behave around other children. Also the school has a menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in between each main meal for a whole month!! This way I know ahead of time what was being fed to my kid. And I can always add my own food and they will feed it to my boy. Sometimes I dropped by unannounced to check up on my kid and each time I was not disappointed to see they were being tugged away for nap, play time, and study as the schedule listed. Another big plus for me is the custodian clean the school at the same time every day!! My boy was able to learned to feed himself and behave as he should at school. Also they potty trained my boy for me and all I had to do was continue with it at home. Every time I pick up my boy he didn't want to go home. I really like how the school is located in the back of a neighborhood and not butt up to the main street. My only thing is that it's 15-20 minutes from my place, but I'd rather take the drive than put them in a school that I was just OK with. read more

Potty training here is so bad. If you are looking for potty training, find another place. My Mom managed to potty train my son in less than a week, at his age of 20 months old. A few weeks later, I took my son to this childcare, he turned back to the time before potty training. He didn't get help from carers at school and kept peeing on his pants. However, he did good at home as he was trained. But for a few weeks, he got confused and went with peeing on his pants even at home or anywhere. I had to take vacation to stop his school and trained him again, finally he got HOME POTTY TRAINING again just in 1 week :( read more
