I absolutely adore this place. been multiple times over the years and I honestly can't believe how perfect it is! let's start with the food, can't ever go wrong with apps, my personal fav is the groupa fingers but everything else is just as good. as for entrees i've had the fish and / or shrimp tacos which is my main go to because they are so delicious, and the portions aren't too overwhelming for hot summer days. the meatloaf Rueben is phenomenal like truly amazing. and their burgers are a known good. all around fantastic for the pricing and quality, drinks are top tier too. service is always great, swiftly seated and attended too in timely manners with all requests met, and remember this is over multiple visits throughout the years! now my absolute most adored part is the atmosphere, the lights, beachfront view, swinging benches occasional live music and just overall vegetation and surrounding nature is exactly what i'm looking for when it comes to a summer lunch/dinner experience. Delicious! Drinks are really good also and not expensive at all. I had the mahi sandwich. My son-in-law the boom boom shrimp tacos. They have a little spice but not overwhelming. He loved it and wants to come back again before flying out. My daughter and son had the fish tacks. They asked for mahi mahi since tilapia is an option. My daughter-in-law had the crab cakes. Everyone was happy and satisfied. We sat outside. It's right on the ocean with an amazing view. Can't forget! Ask to be sat at Damon's section. We popped in for a drink at the bar and found a phenomenal bartender who not only made cool drinks, but kept us laughing. I really enjoy this place. I had a nice shrimp taco with boom boom sauce. Wife had a nicely prepared mahi salad. Drink was strong. The deck on the beach is amazing with Adirondack chairs and swingsets. I'd say overall a solid 7.5 - 8 out of 10. I would come back to this place. Let's get into this. I wish I'd taken pictures of the appetizers to start because those were actually very good. I was just starving so they didn't make the cut. Dogs ARE allowed as long as they're behaved and my best friend had a wonderful time eating his little chicken bites beside me. There is an excellent view of the beach. THIS is one of the best spots to order drinks and go back to the lounger overlooking the ocean. It's definitely not a quiet place so be ready to party! Service could've been better as my disgusting burger was "fixed" by them bringing a new bun out for me to assemble my own now cold burger which didn't matter because it was dry as the sand on the beach anyway. Appetizer and drinks - absolutely - anything fried is safe - but skip the other entrees. A solid 2/5 stars. But man that view almost made it 3/5. read more

Can't speak on the food because we never got served. Came on a night that was practically empty and sat for 20 minutes (maybe even more, that's just when we started timing it) and no one greeted us or got our drink orders. Great food, great service and awesome music playing! Plus we were able to watch a great hockey game! Bummz Beach Cafe is truly a hidden gem in Myrtle Beach! The restaurant was clean and we were given the option of sitting inside or on the patio. (Wish we would have visited on the weekend when they feature live music; but we still had a great experience.) Our server, Karli, was friendly and smiling. She came over to get our drink orders as soon as we were seated. They have a full bar and tons of beer options. I ordered a draught beer and we looked over the food menus. I read a few Yelp reviews and decided on the chicken salad sandwich and the homemade potato chips. It was an excellent choice! The chicken salad was delicious and the chips were abundant. (I shared them with my husband.). He ordered the mahi sandwich and he said it was also delicious! The bar was quite lively; so after our meals we decided to move over to the bar so we could have another drink and keep watching the game. We stayed for a bit and the bar was actually filling up; but it was a Tuesday night and they close at 9;00 when it's the slower season. We were sad to have to go, but we'll be back next time we're in Myrtle Beach...great food and great service is always worth a visit! read more

Bummz is a fun, super casual and laid back spot right on the beach in the heart of Myrtle. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, with of course, and outdoor bar. For being right there on thr beach, prices are fair and the food is good. My wife enjoyed her fish tacos, and my groupa fingers were crispy and tasty and were served hot! Our service was a bit lackluster as it took the young lady server about 15 minutes to bring us our 2nd round of beers after we ordered them. It wasn't super busy either. Had a really bad experience here when I first got to Myrtle Beach the bartender was a young female with blonde and brown hair and I was waiting at the bar to order a salad to go and she completely ignored me at first, and I had to get her attention myself after like five minutes and then I ordered the salad and I didn't know what dressing they had so I asked and then I was thinking about it for a second and then she rolled her eyes and said let me know when you're ready and walked away... and then I paid for my salad and then she didn't give me my change back and then she was annoyed that I asked for my change back and then she ended up talking to the customers down the bar about me and they were both looking at me and I literally heard "she wanted change back"..... like obviously I want my fucking change... and then when I got the salad, I didn't get both dressings that I wanted so I asked for ranch and Italian so that I can compare the two cause sometimes I don't like Italian dressing so I asked the manager for ranch because I didn't wanna talk to her anymore and then when the manager was getting the ranch, she came over and was like " I made sure everything was in the bag. What's wrong with the salad?" and I was like well. I'm just trying to get my other dressing.... and it was just the most annoying experience and I will not be back and the salad wasn't even good...!! read more

We came in on Saturday night (5/2/26) with a large group of kids (a visiting sports team), and I just want to compliment the amazing service we received. Our waitress, Tracey A, was absolutely phenomenal. She was attentive, kind, and incredibly efficient. Our entire order was 100% correct--which is impressive with a group of 18--and our food came out very quickly. Everything was handled so smoothly, and she truly made our experience enjoyable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing because it was entirely avoidable. During dinner, while our food was being served, I accidentally spilled an alcoholic drink that was still slightly more than half full as I was moving plates to make room for the server. I brought it to the attention of the manager. He asked whether the server had spilled the drink, and I explained that the spill occurred during the course of service but was not the server's fault. The manager brought me a replacement drink without saying that it would be charged. Had he simply told me, "I can bring another, but it will be another $10," I could have decided whether I wanted another drink. Instead, the replacement appeared on the bill with no prior discussion. When I noticed the charge, I walked toward the bar as the manager was coming into the dining room to serve other guests. I told him I hadn't expected to be charged since nothing had been said beforehand. He responded, "I'll be over. I have other tables." When he later came to our table, in front of our entire party of eight adults and four preteen children, he stated that I had "run up on him" and that he was "shaking." That characterization was surprising and unnecessary. We had simply been walking toward one another as he exited the bar area and I approached to ask about the bill. At no point was I threatening or aggressive. The manager later explained that his earlier question about whether the server spilled the drink was only to determine whether it was the restaurant's responsibility. While I understand that restaurants may have different policies regarding replacement drinks, customers should be informed before a replacement is served if they will be charged. Failing to communicate that created an awkward and uncomfortable situation that could have been completely avoided. To his credit, the manager ultimately removed the charge. However, the handling of the situation and the comments made in front of our family left a much stronger impression than the $10 charge itself. Good communication and professionalism would have prevented the entire incident. read more

The ambiance of this restaurant was really nice. I hate spiders and the bottom of our chairs were full of webs. If you sit in the patio there is shade and you can see the ocean. The food was okay. My daughter loved her Chicken fingers and my other daughter really enjoyed her pulled pork tacos. I had fish tacos, the fish was breaded and cumin was the spice of choice. A lot of times these tourist attraction areas have subpar restaurants that rely heavily on no better options. This is NOT one of them! The service was excellent from the beginning. The hostess was kind, polite and quickly sat me. The server was even more friendly and helpful. She quickly ran through all her favorites and did a great job of making my mind up for me. The place is large, beautiful, and overlooking the beach. As far as ambiance goes, you can't get much better than this. The fish tacos were surprisingly good, bordering on my "best of all time " list. Perfect temperature, texture, seasoning, and accoutrements. This is a great place to hang out and chill. We had a pretty big party come in for lunch and there was no wait. Outside seating was nice. Service was good and so was the food. Sweet and Simply stated come for the Beach views stay for the Beach views. There is nothing groundbreaking about Bummz. Not sure where the high ratings come from. The drinks were almost $10 for a 12 oz Long Island (Dirty Myrtle). The Chicken sandwich was a flat chicken breast with bland bbq sauce and homemade chips that were fine (fries are "premium" for $2.99 extra). Very pedestrian cheeseburger, although my daughter DID love her Philly sandwich. At the End of the Day the view was great in the Adirondack Chairs and the service was quick and hospitable.
