Kids pancakes with egg and bacon
    April L.

Stopped in around 8:30am on a Saturday and were surprised there was no wait but then took a minute for someone to seat us. It started getting busy while we were there. It's a good sized place with nice decor and big booths. I'd imagine the river view from the back would be nice. Our waiter was friendly. The omelette and skillet were good and I liked that the kids pancake included an egg and meat. We enjoyed our breakfast.

Nice little place. Excellent service. Had one of their scramble bowls Green Mountains. Crispy home fries, avocado, corned beef and ask for the eggs your way versus scrambled. I had them over easy. My better half had a traditional 2 eggs bacon and grits. Said the bread was phenomenal and they were very generous with the bacon. 4 pieces. Good place for a late breakfast.

We had a coupon from our local Entertainment Book and decided to try this restaurant out. It is located in a strip mall along Rt 17 by restaurant row. Once Inside, the nice, bright, inviting "beachy" decor was well done. We were greeted warmly and quickly seated. All of the staff was very friendly and came by frequently to check on us. The menu had a good variety of breakfast offerings. Regular plates, omelets, skillets and Benedict. They also have a lunch menu which we will try another day. I had the corned beef Benedict with fruit. It was excellent and the the corned beef was obviously homemade. Kim had a Sunrise spinach scrambler which she really enjoyed as well. Overall a very good breakfast and we will go back to try out the lunch menu.

Stopped by here for an early morning breakfast before 10am and there was a decent crowd already. I sat at the bar with plenty of seating. Service was good - my waiter was attentive. I ordered a mimosa and the biscuits and gravy. Not the most aesthetically looking plate but it was a solid breakfast. Food came out extremely fast. Menu had an abundance of items to choose and decently priced. If you want fast and easy breakfast, try Toasty out! If I stay in the area again, I would come back here.

    Great coffee!!!

Super nice staff! Wonderful good! Great patio! Leo is wonderful behind the bar and very nice!

This is one of those few reviews that I'm absolutely torn when it comes to how to go with this. Possibly 3.5 stars. Food was very good but service was abysmal. We went for breakfast on a rainy morning. Really not that crowded. We were seated within 5 minutes. Inside is very casual with an island vibe. After a solid 15 minutes, my wife said, "do you think anyone is going to acknowledge us?" Coincidentally, 2 minutes later, a young lady came over to take our drink order only. My in laws wanted mimosas. They couldn't make them because there was no bartender and she was too young to make them. Ok... There was 6 of us, 4 of us decided we'll go with cappuccinos.. Nope, that's wasn't going to happen. No one to make that either. My middle son worked at a pancake house last year while going to college and he said he was responsible for making cappuccinos; there wasn't a person that made them. Ok fine, we found suitable alternatives. Now about another 15-18 minutes go by and my wife asked her as she was walking by.... "Whenever you're ready, we're ready to order". She says, "oh my God, I'm so sorry". She somehow forgot to take our order. Food was very good. Corned beef hash was as fresh as fresh can be. My son got a burger and it looked excellent. I think we just ultimately had a bad luck experience service wise but I have to review based on my experience.

Let me start off by saying this place is absolutely phenomenal. The service was terrific. Greeted at the door at around 9:30am, sat down as soon as we walked in and the waitress, Sandi, arrived within the minute to take our drink order. The music is not terribly loud but loud enough to enjoy breakfast and Sandi kept coming back in to check on us while we were here. The food was spectacular. I ordered the Cinnamon rolls and the family ordered the chicken and waffles and the steak and potatoes. If you're in the area on vacation, don't hesitate to stop by Toasty's. You won't regret it. Fast, great service and delicious breakfast. Thank you so much!!

My oh my, I had a time at Toasty! I stopped by with two friends because we all wanted breakfast although it was lunchtime. Breakfast is good anytime of day though. Thankfully, we just missed the rush, so the restaurant had calmed down and there were just a few folks inside. Our waitress was friendly, upbeat, and helped us sort through a few options before we landed on our final selections. To start, we all had a toasty colada mocktail & shared the goat cheese and pesto grits. The colada had coconut cream, pineapple, juice, and orange juice. It tasted like a sip of island sunshine. I like grits, pesto, and goat cheese, but I wasn't sure if I would like all three of ingredients together. Surprisingly, it was quite tasty. Although this dish is served as a side, I would love to see it as a base for a meal like shrimp and grits. The cheese and pesto really elevated the grits. It was creamy, herbaceous, and surprisingly good. For my entrée, I had the sweet potato pancakes and the green mountain skillet. The pancakes used real sweet potatoes in the batter and they were topped with pecans, butter, and a cinnamon syrup. The skillet had corn beef, mushrooms, jalapeños, red onions, and scrambled eggs over a bed home fries. Everything was delicious and there was no way I could finish it all. My only complaint was the hollandaise sauce. It was bland and I'm happy that I sampled it before pouring it over my dish. My friend spiked hers with hot sauce, and she said that helped.

It was so wonderful to see vegan items clearly annotated on the menu for the different items, further allowing us to order with confidence. The food quality is good-cooked to perfection and fresh. Staff friendly and cheerful. CLEAN restaurant. Reasonable prices. So easy to be vegan with great food like this. We can't wait to come back.

Being able to head straight to the salad bar as soon as we walked in was a huge plus! The salad bar was fresh, well-stocked, and had an excellent variety of toppings. The decor was nice, the salad bar had a good variety of fresh options, and our service was excellent. Those were the highlights of our visit. Unfortunately, the food was very inconsistent. I ordered the filet mignon cooked medium rare, but it came out closer to rare and was barely cooked. It was also surprisingly chewy and lacked any real flavor. Considering a filet mignon is one of the highest-quality cuts of beef, this was honestly the worst filet I've ever had. The hamburger was also very bland and didn't have much flavor. On the positive side, the grilled chicken and shrimp were both delicious, and we really enjoyed the salad bar. Overall, I wouldn't return for the steak or burgers, but if you're interested in the salad bar, chicken, or shrimp, those were much better choices.

There was also live music playing, which really brought the place to life and made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. For food, we ordered the shrimp meal and the gumbo soup. The gumbo was delicious and packed with meat, very hearty and flavorful. My only complaint is that I asked for less meat due to an upset stomach, but they weren't able to accommodate that, which I understand. The crackers served with the soup also tasted a bit old and off. The shrimp, however, was very tasty and enjoyable. We attempted to visit LuLus on Thursday, but they were closed due to A/C issues. We came back on Friday and were glad we did. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind from the moment we arrived. They also have a cute shop attached to the restaurant where I was able to get some Aloe Vera to help ease my sunburn, which was super convenient. Would highly recommend!

There was a sign outside saying they weren't going to be opening that day, or were opening late, or something to that effect. We were short on time, so we started looking around for somewhere else to eat at Barefoot Landing, pretty disappointed that we couldn't go to our favorite spot. That said, I saw there was a new place called Lulu's right around the corner. I checked out their menu, and it looked like a fun place to eat. The pictures of the food looked pretty good, so off we went. Upon arriving, the first thing that struck me was the big, open atmosphere of the establishment. It wasn't very cozy, but the hostess did greet us in a friendly manner and took us to our seats--which ended up being one of the worst aspects of this restaurant. I have never been more uncomfortable sitting in a restaurant in my life. I know that's a weird gripe, but these were some of the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. They hurt so bad. My kids were seated on the benches across from us, and they could barely even reach the table. My wife switched places with my son, and the benches were covered in what looked like footprints and dirt from people standing on them. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We started off with drinks. We all got soft drinks, and every single one of them was flat. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, and they were OK. The dipping sauce was great. My wife and son ordered the tacos, which they said were bland, tasteless, and pretty underwhelming. My daughter ordered a kids' cheeseburger, took one bite, and said it was disgusting. Unfortunately for me, I ordered one of the most expensive things on the menu: a seafood entrée where you get to pick two items. I picked the fish and oysters, both fried. Some of the oysters tasted like they were kind of rotten--very fishy. The fish itself was OK, but the breading they used was absolutely atrocious. It tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in weeks. The fry on the fish was dark and had an almost burnt, overly salty taste to it. Absolutely terrible. As we were about to leave, a live band started playing, and they sounded pretty nice. I wish they had been playing while we were still eating, but by that point we were so ready to get out of there. We were incredibly disappointed. The real shocker came when I got the check. For our family of four, it was almost $110 before the tip. This food was in no way worth that kind of price. I honestly would've rather gone to a fast-food restaurant. This place gets two stars simply because the staff we encountered were friendly and because of the live music. Otherwise, this is one of the most boring, aesthetically unappealing restaurants I've ever been in, with some of the worst overpriced food I've ever had. Never again. We definitely won't be back.
