I was totally impressed with Bumper Buddies!!!! Jason was the technician who did the work on my red 2019 Toyota Camry. My red color was unique but Jason found the color match, made a special trip to pick it up and it was worth it. He completely redid my front and back bumper, side panel, and one door. He was extremely detailed in his work - a total perfectionist and the result showed it. No matter how hard I tried, I could not see any paint lines or color differencesl He was courteous, on time, friendly and a very hard worker. He took his time to do the job right. If you have a small dent and minor scratches bumper buddies is the place to call. Now for car with more damage the body shop is a better place. My car had a small dent and scratches on the car. When the car was done it looked liked nothing happened. The next I looked at the car again and there was some over spray. I highly dont recommend doing it on a windy day. Everything is done outdoors unless you have a garage. Call them back and took care of the over spray. Three days later washed the car and some of the paint came off. Call back again and said they would repaint the area again. If you want professional done you have to take it to a body shop. I new it was not going to be perfect because there working outdoors environment. not in a booth. So I was ok with that. Plus I didn't have the time to live my car for a few days and deal with a retail. I highly recommend but just remember it not be perfect. read more

Got a quick estimate on Yelp, and was glad to go through with their service. I've had previous bumper fixes in the past and the pricing was relatively fair, but with the convenience of having a technician come out on site to your home. From the day of my quote, I was able to schedule with Alex to come out two days later to give me a more accurate estimate and review of my bumper damage for two vehicles. I had a small crack in my front bumper and a larger crack on the rear of my bumper of a black BMW, and my significant other had a large scrape on the bottom of her front bumper for her white FR-S. I spoke with John on the phone and he was very communicative and updated me on the day of my appointment that Alex would arrive around 2:00 PM. When Alex arrived, he was extremely patient and took his time with me to walk around the vehicles to inspect the damage (and he also took a look at a housemates car but recommended body shop repair due to the extent of damage). After confirming on the price, Alex began his work by checking on the paint codes of each vehicles. The convenience of being able to check outside to see the progress of his work gave me peace of mind. I noted a previous review that pointed out that they decided to negotiate lower even though there would need to be compromises to the work done to accommodate the customer price. Alex was transparent and said he could do a lower price if he took some shortcuts, but I decided otherwise and went with the original quote. I was really glad that I didn't want any shortcuts because Alex took nearly 5 hours to work on both my cars! He was diligent and very detailed with the repairs, and the bumpers look amazing with the backing of a 3 year warranty. You can definitely get a lot of value for the service if you have more spots or cars that need to be repaired, and I'm really happy with how the repairs came out. I was VERY skeptical prior, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. A car is a car at the end of the day but I really wanted something good for my Nissan GTR. Reached out to Bumper Buddies and John got back to me very soon. I sent him over some pictures and he gave me a rough estimate. To my surprise that estimate was A FRACTION of what a other body shops were going to charge me. Some wanted to replace the WHOLE bumper and some said they would repair it and paint. Each quote I got was over $2,100.00 with the highest being around $4,000.00. I figured I would wait for their specialist to come see the car and tell me a more accurate price. Was this deal too good to be true? Let's continue. He sent over Paul Montano to come check everything out. Paul gave me a more accurate price once he saw all the damage. It was a little bit higher but only because he had found there was more work to be done. Even though it was higher it was still INSANELY lower than a regular body shop. I am in the Temecula/Murrieta area so Paul had to drive out to me from Irvine. He always arrived ON TIME. Sometimes even earlier. He did make a couple trips to me but we had to postpone some work due to weather (rain). He really strived to make sure the job was done right. He really takes extreme pride in his work and does NOT take a single shortcut. A very confident but humble craftsman. So let me break down this review into a few categories. Response Time : Same day basically. They are very quick and eager to get your business. Very impressed that they are that prompt. Pricing : Literally, do NOT even bother anywhere else. I guarantee Bumper Buddies will completely BEAT any competitors price. The price they charge is NOT ENOUGH FOR THE WORK THEY DO. I felt like I was ripping THEM off and not the other way around. I will NEVER ever go anywhere else for any body work or paint. This place is UNBEATABLE. Prep Work : Paul went beyond the call of duty. He literally covered my ENTIRE car to protect it. The front bumper and lip was the only thing being worked on and covering the hood and windshield would have been enough. However, for Paul he wanted it to be done like a Professional with OCD. I was delightfully surprised to see him go THAT far. He also covered the floor of his working area to avoid getting any paint on the concrete. Finally someone who loves what they do and ACTUALLY gives a SHIT about the car and the customer's satisfaction. Customer Service : Paul was a godsend. He was extremely polite and professional. Didn't even swear once around me during his time working on my car. He even invited me to watch him work. Was not shy whatsoever. He was incredibly confident in his abilities and knowledge. He was not in a rush and took his time. It did take a few hours, but when someone is working on your car especially painting, you want them to do it right. I requested a price estimate from Bumper Buddies and they were able to get that to me super quick! Their customer service is also very responsive and great. Ultimately when the mechanic came he deemed that the damage was too bad for him to fix. I appreciate them being honest about that. I am very pleased with the repair done to my front bumper. I research three repair services and they came in under the other two quotes. However, a word of caution: they charge a $10 surcharge (which appears as "adjustment" on the invoice) if you use a credit card. California law is very clear they are supposed to disclose this to you up front and they did not tell me until after the work was done. I'm rating them "good" for their work and service but I would not use them again because of the surcharge practice. read more

Alex came out earlier this week to repair some minor scratches and cracks on the rear bumper of our car. To his credit, he explained before hand via text and in conversation that some dust particles that may attach to the newly painted surface because the job is not done in a shop and that they may be more visible due to the black color of the car. I decided to go ahead with the job with, which took 2+ hours. Overall, Alex did a very nice job fixing the scratches and cracks and smoothing and repainting the affected area. Upon inspection of the finished job, I did notice a number of dust nibs on the bumper, some larger and more visible than others. Overall, there were more of them that was explained to and expected by me. Alex explained that he can come out again to sand and buff out a number of those but others may be difficult to remove due to their locations. He stated that the follow-up work will take about 45 minutes and cost $200, which I wasn't expecting and believed to be too much. Alex stated he could lower it to $150 when I expressed my concern about the cost. When I read the business owner's/manager's responses to jobs that require follow-ups on Yelp, I did not get the impression that customers are charged additionally for follow-up visits. Anyway, I decided to call the company to schedule a follow-up visit to fix the remaining issue. The lead scheduler agreed that the $150-200 quoted to me is indeed too high and they will charge me $100 instead. While I am realistic and don't expect a perfect job from a mobile repair, I hope that they can remove some of the more visible dust nibs and I can get a very good result afterwards. read more
