Mike showed up to my office exactly on time (literally exactly one time). Unfortunately my office doesn't allow repairs on campus. First, know what you are getting into - you will not get the same results as going to a body shop, though you will save about 50%. Remember that this work is done in your garage or driveway, not in a facility that is dust free and otherwise protected from the environment. We had some severe scratches on one side of our bumper, all the way down to the primer, on a one year old vehicle so decided we wanted those repaired. We sent photos to Bumper Buddies and got an estimate based on those. The tech came out and in about an hour completed the repair. It looks perfect from a distance but there are a few minor imperfections that are evident if you get up close, or the light hits them just right. For example, a small strand of fabric from somewhere is embedded into the paint and clear coat in one spot. Again, this is hard to see unless you get close up to it. Also there is something under the paint in another area that creates a small bump. When the light hits it the right way it's obvious but otherwise not that noticeable. To their credit they offered to come out and buff the car and said that might take care of it. Another thing to consider - unless you are doing the whole bumper, this outfit will take care of the problem areas that you pointed out, and sand, paint and clear coat to blend with the rest of the bumper. The result is a perfect color match but if you have any imperfections due to normal wear and tear (such as minor dings from gravel, etc) in the rest of the bumper, these are going to jump out at you once the repair is done. That is a major difference from a body shop which will remove and redo the entire bumper - and of course you pay a lot more for that. I did not see the "perfection" that other reviewers are claiming. Maybe they haven't had a really close look at the work, or have greater tolerance, or just got a more detail oriented tech. Moral of the story for me - next time I'll spend extra at a body shop. Yes, the damaged areas were repaired and pass casual inspection but no, not perfect! read more

Annoyingly, someone had hit/slid part of hubby's car's front bumper during this past week, and it was deep enough where the metal was visible. -_- Ugh! We didn't want any exterior deterioration to start occurring since the metal was now exposed. Meanwhile I had to get my previous car replaced in the past few months. While it was a new old car for me, it means it's not perfect, and there was certainly quite a bit of scratches from the previous owner. Aesthetically, I wanted the scratches gone because it could get super visible under most conditions, and was just plain annoying. Hubby seemed to have found Bumper Buddies on Yelp, sent in a request for a quote during Sunday night, got contacted first thing on Monday morning, and then was given an appointment for someone to come out on Wednesday. What I really like is that Bumper Buddies sends someone out to where you live to get the job done. Gage was the one who made the visit, and he was great! Professional, smart, knew what he was doing, and fixed up both of our cars in the span of a few hours. It made them look like new cars: my car had a nice shine with the buffing, and hubby's car look like nothing had happened to the bumper at all. Gage gave us pointers and of what to do (mine was buffed, so it could stay out in the rain) and what to not do (especially since hubby's car had a bit of wet paint, no rain for a few days, no waxing for a few weeks, no getting it wet for a few days), and was able to take a credit card to pay for both of the cars' makeup. Overall, very convenient, responsive with great communication, reasonably-priced, and smooth transaction. He said it would be tough to get it 100% out but he would try first and see if he could pop it out. It was a really nasty dent. Regret my repair and would not do again. Gray Tesla paint not a perfect color match (spot paint had a more bluish tint) and has a hazy look that you can tell it was painted. I had taken my car to a body shop to get an estimate and was prepared to pay the $1500-$2000 estimate. Then I a friend told me about Bumper Buddies and how pleased he was with the quality of the work and the value. The technician, who was on time to the minute, I looked over the car and gave me an estimate of around $900. When he was finished, he told me that he was able to buff out more of the work than he originally thought possible and the cost of the repairs came to $450. My car looks like it just came off the showroom floor; and I couldn't be happier, not only with the results, but with the value for the money.
