Tonight was my first time here and I will definitely be returning! The food was delicious and the staff was attentive, especially our waitress Bridget. There was a bit of a delay on our appetizers so the manager Katie personally came over to apologize and offered a drink which was much appreciated. If you are a raw fish fan I highly recommend "The Dock." It was the perfect amount for my daughter and I to share as our meal and was very fresh. Beware of one angry unaccommodating hostess. Ridiculous wait time waiting for more than an hr and missed the text msg for the waitlist and didn't get to check in within 10min and lost out spot. Luckily the manager was able to help working things out and the hostess named Katie gave us an alternative table to seat us instead of putting us back on the waitlist. Food was on point. Had a bridal shower there on June 13,2021 in the back room. It was outstanding! The food and service 5 stars. Atmosphere 5 stars. Shannon and Mo couldn't have been more helpful. I have had many functions at many venues and by far this was one of the best experiences. I, as the brides mom, was able to have a much fun as my daughter. We love the Bungalow Bar! My favorite summer drink ever is the Huckleberry Lemonade. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Sunday. I loved the Avocado Quinoa bowl and added steak to it . It was a refreshing dinner for a hot summer day! Our group loved the signature burger . The fish sandwich was yummy. We had the pleasure of witnessing an engagement on their beautiful dock. Simply delish. We've eaten at the restaurant and ordered catering for the super bowl from this place before. Food was always on point. I never ordered take out from here so I was hoping it wouldn't be a disappointment. Ordered a buffalo chicken dip and chicken quesadilla because I was way too tired to cook and no one was starving but craving something small. The girl who took our order over the phone was friendly and the female who delivered was sweet as well. Food: As you could see I gave them a five. The food was delicious. I've had many chicken quesadillas in my life and you would think, "who can mess that up?" Um, I've had so many bad ones and thought the same. This one was fresh, chicken was flavorful and cheesy. Of course my fiancé and I came here after watching the bar rescue show and we were happy we did. Although it was a little hard to find, when we got there it was quick seating, good service, and a beautiful view. The food was great bar food. The fish and coleslaw sandwich was spot on. It had a nice crunch from the coleslaw and a toasted bun. My fiancé had the penne all a vodka which she finished. The server recommended the frozen lemonade which she loved. I was very excited to come here because I saw it on bar rescue and everyone loves this place but I was so disappointed when I finally did .First the menu is only 2 pages not many items that I would eat . I ordered the Mac n cheese balls because I wasn't that hungry and that was the only thing I know I would like ... well I was very let down because when I received them they were full of oil , a pool of oil also on the bottom of the basket they are served in ( you'll see in the picture I took) whoever took it out the frier didn't let the oil drip out they just dumped it in the basket with all that oil . I was shocked that the person who served it didn't think to at least change the basket with all that oil . I had to use napkins to soak it up and even though I was dreading trying one , I did because the napkin dispenser on the table says there's no swapping out your food once it arrived, and they don't accept returns or exchanges (again I'll post a picture of that too )So I figured I can't even send these back I might as well try one . Well I tried one and it tasted like it was fried days ago then microwaved then fried again and the inside was cold and dry and not cheesy at all .I didn't eat them and yet still paid for them ( hint the sign on my table). very late update since i saw the owner replied. I left for max 10 minutes to make a call to my father who was in the hospital. I stood outside in complete view of your staff. i remember this CLEARLY because i was heartbroken celebrating my birthday as my family was all in the hospital. i showed the receipt immediately upon reentering and was denied entrance and was forced to leave. also not at 2 am, i stepped out at 11pm... i was forced to leave since i couldn't come back in by 11:30pm and was home by 12am (and have the taxi receipts to prove it) at that time i was a bartender myself for a few years. i have never and will never be rude to people who are just doing their job. especially the door staff. i yelp good and bad service. don't know why you're mentioning christ when you guys just have terrible service and are plain rude and your response when i visited your terrible establishment and on yelp is just plain rude and creepy. read more

3.5 stars. We came here for brunch on a Sunday, sat outside to get a nice view of the water. We were quickly seated, warmly greeted by our super friendly server Annie who went above and beyond, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We got fried calamari for app and they were excellent, including the Thai sauce and house marinara. I got the eggs florentine which was okay, a little bland, though the home fries that came with it were delicious. Both the pink lemonade I ordered and the orange creamsicle bf got were delicious. Bf got chicken and waffles - the chicken was kinda dry, but the waffles were good. Bf's mom was happy with her iced coffee and chicken quesadilla. Overall it was a nice spot to dine outside, service was excellent and we were all very happy with the drinks and calamari. May not be good for brunch, but it seems like a good spot for casual dinner, so I would come back here to try other dishes. read more

I had always wanted to check out the cluster of restaurants/bars by the Cross Bay Bridge, and I got to finally come here just this past Sunday with my friend after spending our morning at Fort Tilden. Technically, the little cluster of establishments that Bungalow is part of does have a parking lot, but it's ridiculously small, so you will have to park on the street, which can be hard to find as is. Also, since the establishment is right by the intersection of Beach Channel Drive as well as the on ramp towards the Cross Bay Bridge, where there is also no crosswalk, getting to the restaurant can be a bit of a harrowing experience. Finding the entrance to the restaurant was a little confusing as well (yeah, for about 5 seconds). Once we got here, though, we were promptly seated. Looks like this place is popular for their brunch offerings, and I would imagine a popular spot to get drinks from during the sunset hours. I got their watermelon salad, which was pretty tasty, though nothing mind blowing. My friend got their chicken and waffles, which she liked a lot. Portion sizes were good, though prices were a bit on the pricey side. It's pretty standard fare with prices being a little inflated so that you can get a decent glimpse of Jamaica Bay and beyond. Not too bad a of a trade-off, if you ask me. Would gladly come back here to have a drink, though, as the sun sets. read more

Upon arriving the place was full as we came right around the time the sun was setting We decided to eat at the bar area because we wanted to be able to pick our own seats while we ate and drank We had a prime location near the water We had to go up to the bartender and give our order and they would come up to the table with whatever we order even though it was crowded the bartender always made sure to make eye contact with us to get what we wanted Ordered spinach artichoke dip with crab meat on top and it was delicious with some toasted pita bread I had the bungalow Burger and she had a para dish that I don't remember but everything was delicious and left out of there totally satisfied We will definitely be going back here read more

This place is a complete hidden gem. After a day of surfing we came here for some food and drinks. And it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the price was fair and the view was amazing. If you have a boat or jetski, you can dock right up to this place, eat and then go back out and enjoy the water. (That's what I'll be doing next time ;) ) Parking might be a tad difficult, but if you have a motorcycle, you wont have much of a problem ;). Group of (6) dined on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Opted for a seat outside on the deck. It was warm, but they have umbrellas. I would welcome a few misting fans throughout the deck to cool off (maybe next year). The hostesses are not friendly. Hostesses should be polite, these two in particular are dismissive and curt. We waited at the indoor bar ordered a round of cocktails until our table was ready. The waitress who serviced us made up for the hostesses! She was accommodating, patient made sure we had a steady flow of cocktails and extra ice & water for my pregnant friend :-). Our meals delicious. I went there with my fiancé for our 6 year anniversary and it was such a great time. We went early like 6ish so that there wouldn't be a long wait and they sat us almost immediately. Drinks are great! The food was delicious, we had the spinach artichoke dip and lobster boil and the surf and turf. The manager came by and asked us how everything was and then gave us a complimentary dessert since it was our anniversary!! So nice and the dessert was also delicious! After we finished we went to the bar and listened to live music! It was a ton of fun with dancing and great music!
