Overpriced at $30 (inside and out), and what a sloppy job! I used them several times because I don't know of any other full-service car wash around here, but I will NOT go back again. The outside wash was okay, but the inside job was a mistake. Every time I went there, the inside cleaning was really bad. Some windows were not touched, and there was dust in many places indicating areas that were not touched. This is one of the worst, if not the worst, inside cleanings I have ever received. First time at this location although the other Cary location was not any better. Just closer. Needed a car wash and vacuum and all the other things in the package that you buy. To start I was charged extra for spraying the rims then extra for the weathertech mats , front only for some reason and no inside wiped down. I ran an errand right after and discovered once I opened my back drivers side door that it wasn't even vacuumed in the back! And I tipped them both! I wanted to drive back over there and make them fix it and take my tip back but it's so far out of my way. I do not recommend and will never be back. EDIT: today it's raining and theres some type of film on the windshield that hasn't there before and will not come off with windshield washer fluid. It's on the drivers side the most. I've been back three times in 3 months and each time leave disappointed. Why do I keep going back? I'm an idiot with wishful thinking. I'm paying $28 for an $8 car wash. The was is fine but everything else is incredibly half-assed. You cannot tell they wiped the dash down unless you count the addition of lint to the already accumulated pollen and dust. The sticky on the console? Yeah, that's still there. Two of the 4 wheels were cleaned but as my friend pointed out...that's 50% accuracy. The back window is still filthy and the front is streaked. As sad as it is, I had to re-clean the car after they were done. Skip this place and save yourself the heartache and money. read more

I got the diamond package which was an exterior and interior clean. I was very pleased to find someone who does an interior clean as the other places in the area I checked with no longer do that. The interior clean looked much better than my attempts with everything wiped down and lots of dog hair removed. It also cost the same or less than the other places in the area that were just offering an exterior clean and access to a cleaning station for me to do the interior. Even better, I was able to go into Hmart while I waited where I had a nice lunch. When I came out 45 mins later my car was ready. Highly recommend. read more

My car went into the wash with 4 carwash-safe custom-made magnets on the rear. The manager of this fine establishment tells me he removed 2 of them and put them inside my car. He accuses me of lying that there were 2 more. I did not ask for any of them to be removed, and they've been through car washes with no problem at many other establishments literally weekly. They will not refund my money, and are calling me a liar. Top-notch customer service for a sub-par $30 clean. read more

Everyone was really kind and got me in quick but the work was pretty shoddy. My car was really gross and needed a lot of work and I specifically told them to do whatever necessary to get it completely clean. Streaks on the window and parts of my interior left un-vacuumed. The exterior still looks good, but the interior cleaning here was going way down hill long before covid. Not an isolated incident, multiple times. $34 gets you a gas station quality exterior wash. Imagine using the detail service when they are too lazy to wipe a dash. read more

Got the full exterior wash and hand dry ($22 after tip) Bug stain in headlights not removed. Basically I guess if you want to pay $20ish for a convenience store rotary fabric whipping on your paint and then just have someone dry the water off go here. As you can see they did not take the effort to remove the bug stain from the headlight. 2 "official " looking guys with Bunkey's logo shirts on were chatting inside the shop. Maybe if the managers were inspecting the work, I would have had better outcome. And when I asked about prices at the start, the guy turned the "specials" price list away from me and said a certain price, I explained to him that I saw the "specials" price online and would like the price I saw online. Only then he showed me the different packages. I don't know, I just felt like I was about to get reamed and should have left from the get go. Ugh...I left them a tip too!!!! read more

Came by for my free birthday car wash. Normally it's just an outside wash, but if you want to get the full works, which includes vacuuming inside, wiping down the dash, and cleaning the windows inside, you just pay the difference. That was what I opted for and it's just a minimal amount and so worth it. My car looks brand spankin' new again!! read more

Unfortunately, I didn't learn the first time, and I came back for the second time. They told me for $21 dollars,they don't clean the car doors. The cup holders and dashboards were the same way I brought them in. I could have bought a snack and a drink, played some music and still would have saved $11 doing this myself. I used to go to Bunkey's way back in the day when they were "the" car wash shop, and thought I'd treat myself to a sparkling clean car now that the pollen has calmed down. Approaching-the-pandemic-end by getting to normalcy of sorts. The crew looked like they were going as fast as possible, not to be efficient but to just push through as many cars as possible. I had to point out that my interior windows were not cleaned so much as... smeared. They touched up that and some completely missed floor crud. I had to air out the odd chemical(?) odor on the way home. I'll revert back to cleaning my own car. Bunkey's is now "the" car wash shop to avoid! Kind of sad when another Raleigh Institution goes down the drain. read more

This is an overpriced service for a very bad clean. I took protection package. Once they were done some of the areas were not cleaned properly on the exterior. Which they cleaned after I pointed out. Then I saw the interior. See the attached photos. You wouldn't believe that I just spent 30$ getting this car cleaned. Paid ~$75 (including tip) to get my truck washed, rims washed and tires detailed. Only 3 of the wheels seem to have been "cleaned" the front grill was still grimey as we're all of the wheel arch tops/covers. Had to spend 30+ minutes at home completing job. read more

Had my car detailed today...spent about 45 minutes at home, finishing the trim detail, cleaning the underneath of the doors....the hood was not even lifted, windshield dirty where it goes under the hood. This is AFTER I asked them to clean the dirt and leaves out of the wheel wells after a detail. All for $185...but they did do a nice job on the interior detail, seats and carpets are very nice. Paid $13.00 for internal clean. Worse job I've ever paid for. They basically ran a vacume once over the large parts and a rag across the dash. A 6 year old could do a better job. I went there a couple years ago and wasn't satisfied but thought I'd give them another chance. When i called to report the issue, I was told to have a nice day and hung up on. The Kildaire Farm Rd location use to be a really great place. I recently took a 2 week old SUV for full service wash. It has a front decorative license plate that got bent because their brush caught it. (I'm talking one of the well made thick metal plates - not one of the el cheapos.) Called the manager and asked - but they don't cover that damage (only cover damage to factory installed items). The manager was nice about it but basically I'm supposed to remember to ask them to tape it down. My view - seems it would be on a checklist item and something their employees watch for. I think they should have taped it down. The car was not well cleaned. I pointed out bugs along the front that were not cleaned off and had them fix it before I left. But, I missed the inside of the windshield. After I drove off the car was in full sun and there are streaks all over the inside of the windshield. How do you mess up a windshield new car??? After I talked with the manager and I read the reviews I got to thinking.... you really do have to micro manage the folks at the Kildaire Farm location. Service was much better the one time I used the High House location. P.S. - It would have gone a long way if they offered a free basic car wash to help offset the cost of replacing the front license plate. My experience is you really never get a bent plate straighten out. PSS - was planning to have my SUV and my wife's SUV waxed. Bunkey's you'd have gotten all that work if you had offered a free car wash. ummm... I need to rethink who will get that work. read more

Bunkey's is the place to get a cheap car wash; fast and convenient. Bunkey's is mainly a car washing place, but gas is offered here as well. Just a standard gas station as you would suspect. I come in for the cheap car wash though. For 4 bucks, you can't beat Bunkey's for a car wash in Cary. When you pull up to the car washing station, you wait in line for the man to take your "car order". I tell the man taking my order that I want the $4 one. "Push the button and do nothing," he chuckles. Next, he valets the car into the car wash, and I go to the "waiting room". I watch the cars roll through the car wash and when mine is ready, I am able to drive the squeaky-clean car. Bunkey's is the place to go for a cheap car wash, and although it has no bells and whistles, it's pretty darn good. read more

I used to love this car wash, but evidently they have forgotten what "clean" means. My car has a leatherette interior. The seams were full of sand, as if they never vacuumed, and the seats and other surfaces were covered with dog foot prints which they would have had to deliberately ignore. It cost me $35 with tip (which I wouldn't have left if I'd inspected the car first) for a small hatchback. I am disgusted. I could have gone to a gas station for what I got. I went to this car wash against my better judgement after reading previous reviews. It's the only one around and I thought, how bad could it be, at least it will be cleaner then it was. Well barely. I paid $30 which is extra on top of the basic. They didn't even do the basics. I've been to many car washes in my life and the basics include vacuuming the rugs and seats and wiping down the inside and windows. You can see from the photos that the rugs look unvacummed, the dashboard was untouched as evidenced by the fingerprints and dust and the windows and mirrors were not wiped down. When I said something to the girl in front she said "there's plenty of other places you can go". When I approached the manager and showed him where it looked unclean his response was "that's detailing" and "I don't touch your doors, or your seats, or your dash. That's detailing". He was not nice about it at all. He showed no concern that I was unhappy and I'm sure it's because but he must be used to unsatisfied customers.
