I always had a stronger nexus with non-human beings after visiting here even though I never wanted hardly any of them as pets. I brought my young daughters with me on August 23, 2023. This place hasn't really changed one bit. Their fish are mostly healthy looking at affordable prices. They sell freshwater and saltwater fish and other creatures. They still have a room dedicated to birds - namely parakeets, cockatiels, and finches. Another separate room for reptiles, arthropods & arachnid species also still exists. At the front entrance their "furball" critters take precedence... rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, and hedgehogs. I loved their baby tortoises - so darn cute! They seem to sell out quickly of axolotls and ferrets and a few other more rare animals. All of the supplies you would need are sold here too. I know several folks who come here for mice for their snakes and crickets for their frogs and bearded dragons. The owners are super friendly & ready to assist you. I'm hoping my daughters will continue to do well in school and such so they may earn the privilege of taking one of these critters home one day... The only thing I would change about this place is the outside is quite demure and boring. It doesn't match what's on the inside at all or the personalities of the owners. More often than not, however, am I asked by an employee who is walking towards my direction if I need assistance. The worst was when they were restocking the dog food before Halloween 2022 and there is no where to go down the aisle. None of the three employees who paused briefly to see me with a shopping cart asked if there was anything they could get me. That still rubs me wrong because I have to see these same employees on a regular basis. I guess their adoption program has been canceled since the COVID-19 pandemic as I never see a single animal anymore. If I could shop elsewhere for my pets, I probably would. They have a rewards program. It's free to join. You buy 10 bags of food and get 1 free. Additionally, Petsense and Tractor Supply customers can be a part of the "Neighbor's Club." You can earn points by shopping at both stores where 500 points = $5 reward.

This chain is good about training their employees about their products. I laughed hysterically when I found out that my mom had been asking one of the employees about a bag of feed... Mom swore up and down she knew it came in a particular bag and the poor employee was trying her best to help us. Turned out my mom was thinking of a bag of fertilizer. Lol. They have some fairly unique items... Like some gift items for a friend and some really cool gifts for children. It's basically a one stop shop for the farmer or a rancher in your life.
