I just want to thank the staff that showed love and compassion to my English Bulldog Harley Infinity i can't express my feelings to yall on how the staff that worked so close to me in explaining every step on my (Fat girl) Harley Infinity passing i can't explain in words how I was so impressed how the staff took such great care of my fur baby. I held her little face so close to me when she took her last breath she was so relaxed and calm. I know deep in my heart yall took very good care of my angle the why yall cared for her there's no doubt in my mind and heart that she was in good hands. I want to send a special thanks to Dr Cummingham and her tech for the care they showed me during Harleys passing such awesome stuff that works there..... I know this Double J Animal Hospital is now my vet from now on. I recommend Double J Animal Hospital and the staff is amazing loving compassionate caring for others people's fur babies. The cost for caring for English bulldog was reasonable and affordable. I can't say this enough i thank yall for the service caring the love yall showed. I can't wait to get Harleys ashes home. You neglected my precious Yorkie Ginga and she died in your care of a supposed seizure. I got a "cold" call on Sunday morning less than 48 hrs after she was admitted with parvo. She had ONLY vomited once while there in your care and I was told "she died of a seizure this morning" I went to your hospital less than 45 min later and she was in vigor mortis! She had died several hrs prior to your staff calling me. You've blocked me from posting on your page on Facebook for calling you out. No courtesy call to explain that she had a seizure from more than likely hypoglycemia which is PREVENTABLE especially in YOUR CARE! When my husband and I went to see her she was solid, cold, her eyes were matted from crying and her bedding was wet!!!!!!! How disgusting! She deserved some dignity! She was my therapy dog! I loved her like my own child! How can your staff be so cold! I am requesting her medical records. The audacity to have me pay 1100.00 dollars and then you still request 43.00 plus dollars?? You killed my baby! Can you tell me with all honestly I will get HER ashes? I wasn't allowed to bring her home to bury her at my sisters ranch. We were told she was contagious. Explain to me why I was told admitting her in your care she would be monitored closely??? That's a down right lie! Had she been monitored you would have seen her get lethargic! Not from dehydration as she was getting fluids via IV. Or, was that a lie also?? I was charged for the most neglectful care ever. I'm disgusted! I'm and in pain! Block this message too! Went for a check up was given unnecessary vaccines. Also was told my dog had a cyst.. turns out it is a cancerous tumor that has been there for a year now because they told not to worry about it. read more

I stopped in this clinic to get some ear drops for my golden retriever. I explained to the female at the desk that I was here taking care of my mom and my dog who has chronic ear infections was out of her drops. She was less than friendly and asked "is your dog a patient here?" Again I repeat that I am here taking care of my mother who has a broken hip and that no my dog is not a patient there as I do not live here. She then says we don't have any over the counter medicine. I told her that's why I was there as it is not over the counter. She says "I don't think we carry those kind of ear drops, and wouldn't sell anything to you because your dog isn't a patient here." She never offered to make an appointment, talk to a Veterinarian, etc. she clearly was not interested in my business! read more

I took my Daschund in to get a bath & nails clipped. I went back to pick him up and learned that they had given him vaccines that were already up to date and without even calling and asking me about the vaccines. I literally had to pull up the records I had on my email showing that he had already been vaccinated in Apri, and this was only September! I would not recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone! I will never take my pets back there again! read more

If I could give this place more stars, I would. Our silly usually spry and talkative male Tabby developed some kind of bacteria infection on his ears which eventually spread all over his skin. He wouldn't eat or drink. Wasn't himself at all. To our knowledge, this happened in a span of a couple of days. So we declared it an emergency because he was (still is) one of four indoor cats. I made a phone call early one weekday morning and got him in later that afternoon. Not Dr. Justice, but another doctor treated our cat. It took a few weeks for our cat's skin to completely recover, but the doc said it wasn't contagious. We were skeptics, but... He was right. This doctor explained things very well & was extremely nice. Next thing I know, our female German shorthair pointer wouldn't eat or drink anything. On the Saturday morning that I called the Double J, she had already lost 2 lbs. and looked as though she was in excruciating pain. Although this animal hospital may cost a little more, if you really care about your pet then it is worth it because this office knows what they're doing in dire situations. We saw the same doctor for our dog... UTI. We did some lab tests. Worked together for a solution. Doc put her on some meds and we were on our merrily way in less than 2 hours. TWO HOURS! I have had experiences at other vets in Hobbs that were not so pleasant. At least they don't try to charge you for irrelevant tests or insist that your pet be kept overnight for no apparent reason. This place is a little bit outside of town, but not so drastically far that you'd change your mind to go here. I think if you know your pet well & can communicate your gut instincts well to the staff, then a better game plan can be initiated to help your pet. I know how difficult it is to worry about money, but also not want to give up on a family pet. That's why when it is an emergency, I wouldn't fool around with anyone else. I'd go here. Besides, you'll make more money later. If it's a real issue, just ask to have your bill split up into payments if necessary. My visits to their office, by the way, were a little more than a year ago, but I'd still go there if we still lived in Hobbs. My grandparents still take their 16-year-old dog here & like their clean facility & friendly staff. Overall, the Double J = caring, knowledgable, efficient, & down-to-earth staff. Took my little chihuahua to get her teeth cleaned and they said it would take them 3 days to get her back to us only for her to not be able to walk and in pain. They pulled 11 teeth at once and my dog is 10 years old they didn't even call to tell me. When we finally got to go get her she was crying constantly her front leg would keep bending in wards and she couldn't keep her balance. We took her back for them to fix what they had caused and she still isn't right. They messed up my baby and it isn't right all we needed was a simple teeth cleaning and she is messed up for life would never go back would never recommend. read more

We boarded our Maltese Mia overnight here and it was very reasonable. They took great care of her. They required one more shot than is usual but that wasn't a huge deal. read more

Never again. Called in the morning to inform them that my dog (who has a heart condition and retains fluid) needed to be drained. I was told that there would be a $50 exam before draining, but they couldn't do it until 3:00. I took the day off and when I got there, I was told that I would have to pay the $50 and maybe they would drain him and maybe they wouldn't. The girl at the front desk could not have been less helpful or cared less. Whatever you do, do not expect them to do what they say! Never never again! read more

Do not take your pets to this hospital. We took our puppy in for a simple neuter and they told us he had hemophilia. They talked us into a $300.00 lab procedure that proved to be unnecessary. This lab procedure was sent to Cornell University for testing. It came back normal. We then talked to our regular vet who said all Double J had to do was a "smear" test to check for the hemophilia. The people were rude, and I called to speak to the Dr. four times over a 5 day period and he was always either at lunch or "busy". Needless to say, they did not touch our dog. Also, they are not a registered (AAHA) American Animal Hospital Association clinic. read more

Double J was there for me several years ago when I had to make the difficult decision of relieving my puppy Scruffy's suffering. Now my pup Molly had contracted Pancreatitis and was in awful shape. Our day by day anticipation was not good and we were prepared for the worst. The optimism, professionalism and encouragement of the staff allowed us to continue to hold on for one more day. We picked Molly up last Monday morning and she is like a different dog. Happy, healthy, and with a vitality we haven't seen in years. This place is absolutely horrible. I have tried to use them multiple times and they do not care whatsoever. The first time I tried to use them my Mini Pinscher was attacked by coyotes on a Sunday. We called the emergency line who said they would promptly return the call. They were unable to get ahold of a vet and called 2 hours later to let us know they wouldn't be able to help. Um duh, I had already driven to Andrews. The second time a horse of bourse was bitten by a rattlesnake on the nose. When we called they tried to schedule an appt for hours later. During which time he could have easily died. We again went to Andrews. This last time I had a mare about to Foal that had a caslick in and not only did they want to charge me $200-$250 for a simple procedure even a vet tech could do they wanted to schedule it later in the week when she was already showing signs of labor. I moved to Hobbs about four years ago with my three dogs, i was very concerned about finding a local vet. The previous owners of our home recommended Double j to us and i am so glad they did! My husky has had several incidents including a serious eye infection and a several UTI's. The doctors and staff have always been very understanding and helpful especially when i am overwhelmed and worried about my pets. read more

We have used Double J Vet for a little over a year and have always received the best care for our dog, Casey. We drive 1.5 hrs to take Casey to see Dr. Mark! Before taking Casey to Dr. Mark Justice, another vet wanted to do surgery on Casey and Dr. Mark and his staff prevented him from having surgery. Casey goes to see Dr. Mark every 2-3 months and so far everything is still great! We highly recommend Dr. Mark Justice and his staff. They have caring hearts for your animals and treat your animals and yourself as family members! read more
