Bought a very reliable Toyota Corolla. The car was detailed as if brand new. Negotiated a fair price. Hope to use them again!

They had my new car detailed and the windows tinted while I waited. The finance guy didn't waste my time trying to sell me added products or services I didn't need or want. Purchased a vehicle from AutoMax in February 2026 and was told everything was fine and they'd send the title paperwork to our bank after we were approved for financing. Then our 60-day temporary tag expired, and we still had no title or registration. For nearly six months, we repeatedly contacted AutoMax, and went into the dealership multiple times trying to get answers. We were repeatedly told it was not their fault and that there was nothing they could do. After many trips to the DMV and bank, we finally discovered the actual issue was AutoMax had never properly transferred the title into their own name from the previous owner. The title was still in someone else's name entirely. The issue that prevented us from registering the vehicle for MONTHS was caused by the dealership not completing their responsibility before selling the vehicle. BUT- what is most disappointing is not just the mistake because those can happen. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of accountability afterward. Once the issue was discovered, AutoMax refused to help remedy the situation or take responsibility for the late fees and problems caused by their failure to handle the title correctly and because of this, our family was unable to properly use a vehicle even after we had already paid for it. We missed out on summer activities with our children, planned trips, and a vacation because we could not legally drive a vehicle we own. Dealerships have a responsibility to make sure the vehicles they sell are properly documented before putting families in situations like this, and I hope other families see this review and ask every question possible before buying here. Do not assume the paperwork is being handled correctly just because you are told it is. Thanks for reading

Now, I took it to Post Oak for an oil change and they scratched the door handle and didn't tell me. I noticed it before leaving and let them know and they tried to make it good-they gave me a bottle of touchup paint. On another visit, they rotated my tries and changed the oil at 3,800 miles. They charged to install the oil filter and oil $7.00! Then to top it off, they charged .99 for the multipoint inspection which at one time was complementary. Then .99 to torque the lug nuts on the wheels. then another MAI fee (whatever that is) of .99 on the previously mentioned oil change. I am about through with Post Oak, they must be desperate for money since they bought the dealership from Hudiburg which did provide better service. I can do my own tire rotations, it doesn't take an Einstein to rotate tires and I have my own torque wrench. Why are they nickel and dimming the customers? Answer: Money-they want more. Next time I need tires, I will not buy from Toyota, there are plenty of tire dealers with fantastic deals that offer free tire rotation with purchase of tires-for the life of the tires.

But when they handed me the worksheet, the price magically jumped to $20,487 (an extra $1,800 tacked onto the base price and doc fee). Then, they tried to sneak in a $1,495 "Post Oak Advantage" fee for features the vehicle didn't even have. When confronted, the salesperson literally brushed it off and changed the subject. That is $3,295 in bogus, hidden fees--bringing a used car to a grand total of $21,982! For comparison, I just bought a brand-new 2026 Corolla LE at another dealer for $23,638 out-the-door with a much lower monthly payment. When emailed, management offered empty apologies but refused to fix the numbers. I have officially reported their deceptive pricing and paperwork to the Attorney General and the BBB. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.
