I was hesitant to review this restaurant because I don't want it to get so packed that I have to wait one hour to get a seat. If this La Rosa were located in the East Bay, it would get packed fast! I have no issue with the fee itself. My problem is that the sales tax is calculated on the total after the fee is added. The credit card fee should have nothing to do with the tax amount. Additionally, the suggested tip amounts are also calculated based on the total that includes both the sales tax and the credit card fee. Most customers expect tip percentages to be based on the pre-tax cost of the food and drinks. As a result, you end up giving a lot higher tip than you intended to. Because the payment screen does not show an itemized bill, it's very difficult to verify the charges or calculate a custom tip unless you remember the exact prices of everything you ordered. I hate when a restaurant's billing practice isn't transparent to customers.

Went to this place the other night for the first time and it was so good!!! The customer service is great, I was greeted upon arrival by both of the gentleman in the truck. Looking at the menu was great because it had photo references however I did have questions about the mulitas and vampiros as I had never heard of them before! So I asked the cashier what they were and he described and explained them perfectly ! I asked him what his preference was and took his advice. He advised the cochinita pibil because of the flavor and the mulita because it had a bit more cheese. OMG! I was so amazed. For $4, it was a great snack that filled my appetite in between meals. It was so tasty! I now have a new obsession with mulitas. They also have a great area to sit outside and eat, or a big parking lot you can sit in your car and eat! Seriously, these guys are so nice and their food is so good! Can't wait to try more. Thanks !!! read more
