This place is really a great hole in the wall as soon I walked in I was greeted very politely welcome to jalapeño what can I get you today it was my first time here I ordered there Birria Ramen and can I say it was super tasty and amazing the flavor was so on point it was so much meat and in the ramen and super duper feeling I will definitely be coming back if I'm craving Beria Ramen again

Long overdue. My co-worker kept telling me to try this place and when I finally tried it, I was upset that it took this long because it was SO SO GOOD. If you like quesabirria's and good tacos, then Jalapeño Mexican Grill is for you. When you walk in, it may not look like much from the looks of the interior but when I tell you they put they FOOT (not literally of course... just an expression) in the quesabirrias and tacos, they definitely did! It was just that good. The consomé was flavorful and had bits of beef in it. The tacos were also impressive! Highly recommended, please check them out.

Jalapeno Mexican grill is a hole in the wall, tucked in a small plaza. With only ~10 tables, this humble little shop specializes in birria. I've tried the food truck location once only to be disappointed, and wanted to see if the brick & mortar would be better. I ordered a birria burrito and a pina agua fresca. I had just found a table when no more than 2 minutes later my food had arrived. Chips & salsa were served along w/ the meal. The burrito was loaded up with birria, with an ~ ratio of 80/20 for meat to everything else inside. The birria was mouth-wateringly tender, each bite exploding with flavor. The burrito was toasted before being wrapped up, giving each bite a delicate little crisp from the warm and toasty tortilla. For only $14, the size and filling ratio is completely justified. 9.4/10 Will come back to try their other birria dishes, like the quesa tacos, mulitas, and maybe even the mac & cheese.

The best Birria tacos I've ever had and reasonably priced. Amazing service. Good vibes.

The Jalapeño Mexican Grill located on Piner Road!

I wasn't able to check in at the Jalapeño's Mexican Grill Food Truck, now a new location, located on Piner Road in Santa Rosa. My coworkers were raving about the Jalapeño food truck opening. I decided to try it! Lord oh Lord this is Birria Heaven! I ordered the birria taco with a birria mulita! I sat outside under the tent at the benches, as one of the ladies who had taken my order, brought my food to the table. I devoured the taco as I dipped it in the sauce that comes with the birria tacos. I was stuffed and had to take the rest home. This was a great way to end my Sunday night.

Food was delicious Chips and salsa - great chips free and red salsa both spicy and super flavorful Quesabirrias up there in the top 3 I've ever tried. Lots of meat and not too greasy considering all the cheese. Birria mac and cheese was crazy good. Staff was very nice The restaurant setting was pretty basic no frills... I'll try again but next time one of the trucks.

They have one of the best and tastiest burritos in town. My favorite is the shrimp and chicken burritos. Packed and filled with flavors and also the Mulitas is also a prize here! Delicious and great service. Plenty of parking and large dining room to relax and enjoy the food.

Queso birra tacos are so spicy and delicious the birra meat was marinated perfectly and the cheese To quesadillas ratio was perfect like chef kiss. I always make a to-go order and the ladies who answered the phones are always polite and give accurate pick up times, I've never dined at in but the establishment is well decorated and very clean. Parking can be a bit tricky due to being right next door to a furniture store on stony point rd.

You can never go wrong when choosing to eat at Jalapeño Mexican Grill. The food is extremely tasty and fills you up quick. They have a range of agua frescas that are PERFECT. There is plenty of room to sit and eat, with easy access to parking since it sits in a little plaza. The workers are extremely attentive and are very helpful when you need anything. I have come back multiple times and will continue to do so!

Very good quesobirria tacos and consome. I got Jalapeño about 4 years ago as my first time trying birria and it still is really good. This was my first time trying their chips and salsa and it was very great. I would definitely want to come back for their torta and horchata. They were a little slow when we were the only ones who were there but that can be overlooked when the food is good.

Huarache de al pastor. So good!!

This food location is highly recommended. Came here for brunch with my family, first spot here that has quesabirrias and let me tell you they are delicious. I also ordered a huarache and it was so good. This place is pet friendly and can accommodate parties of 5. The service and great and the workers are really friendly. I also highly recommend the agua de pepino its soo good!!

It's good but I justify having lettuce in my burrito! The spices and seasoning is great. But it's the lettuce that killed it for me!

Got 2 Birria burritos. The meat and rice was delicious. It did seem to lack on sour cream, cheese and salsa.

It's the perfect combination of refreshing and spicy, and they use the dark sauce (salsa negra) which is my favorite style. The quesadillas from Victoria are next level and are big enough for two to share. I recently enjoyed tacos from Lucha Subina and they were delicious. The tortillas were super fresh and the meat was perfectly grilled. I love that many of the trucks here use handmade tortillas. They often have music playing, and the bar has some excellent drinks as well. There's also a dessert truck (Churroteka) where you can purchase churro to finish off your delicious meal.

The five of us ventured out to find Mitote Food Park. We had heard it had moved from its original…read morespot but it was still located on Sebastopol Road. It is easy to find and they have a parking lot which was convenient. As we entered the area we could see many food trucks parked near each other, sort of in a circle. There is also a large canopy over the entire middle with lots of picnic tables and additional seating under patio umbrellas. Music was playing but we found only three trucks open and serving lunch on this Wed. I saw a churro truck but sadly it was closed too. We visited all three trucks to check out their menus and I decided to order a quesadilla at Lucha Sabina. Some people near us were enjoying something called a Tlayuda from this same truck and it looked amazing! I will have to give that a try next time with my husband because it is big enough to serve two. I had heard that the mushroom tacos were delicious so I asked if they could make a mushroom quesadilla and she said yes. She mentioned avocado would make it extra tasty so of course I added it. I'm so glad she offered that up because it was a key ingredient in my yummy quesadilla. It was grilled perfectly and I was all smiles from the first bite. This place was a hit with all my buddies too. We liked that they gave us each a beeper so we could sit down and chat until our food was ready. My friends all enjoyed their selections but none of us tried anything exotic, just tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. People working were very personable and helpful. We'll have to come back during dinner hour as I'm sure there will be more food trucks warming up their grills to satisfy everyone's cravings.

There are so many ingredients that are smothered in various salsas it's impossible to see what you're eating. Tacos are so overloaded that unless you are a magician it's impossible to eat the thing in hand without dropping half of the contents. I know, it's not really a problem because you do get a plastic fork. Three tacos for $16 seems a bit steep. Relax, it is a full meal that even this hungry man with a canine appetite was satisfied upon completion. Are there better fish / seafood tacos in Santa Rosa? I haven't discovered any. Located on exceptionally noisy Sebastopol road in the heart of "downtown" Roseville. Ambiance is loud and the eating area is kind'a grimy. Though kudos to the vendors who have clean up crews who cruise the picnic tent. Glad that I tried the place. Doubt that I'll ever go back.

I will say that the seafood is very fresh and tasty. However, someone in that kitchen is very heavy handed with the tasty sauces for each item that I tried. I ordered the fish tacos and the shrimp tostada. First, the serving sizes are very impressive. But when I bit into my first fish taco after only 5 minutes in the take out box, it was so wet with sauce, that it made the entire taco soggy and a huge mess. Immediately the tortillas fell apart and instead of a nice crispy piece of fish, it was also a soggy mess. The shrimp tostada was also a disappointment that way, just drenched in a green avocado sauce. So much sauce that you could not taste anything else. There was a good size portion of shrimp but I couldn't even get to it because of all the sauce. I tasted hubby's calamari from his taco (he ordered the "mixed tacos", 3 tacos). It was still nice and crispy. He also had the octopus taco and a shrimp taco and he seemed to really like them. I am sorry I can't give you 5 stars Charro Negro and I hate to ruin your 5 star run, but someone needs to ease up on the sauce so that you can actually taste the good quality food that you are preparing.
