I have been here a few times and the food is very authentic and delicious and the service is outstanding as well!

Food- I ordered two Fresas Con Crema drink, Chicken/Steak Taco Plate, and Super Quesadilla. Altogether total was $62.13. The chicken/ Steak Taco plate was good, well seasoned & was content with just two. I always look forward to the chips when eating at Mexican restaurants. The chips were disappointing, drenched in oil & no seasoning or flavor. I didn't eat them. Service- I came around 2pm on a Thursday. It was not busy at all. Was able to order my food as soon as I walked in. I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for them to make Fresas Con Crema & Passionfruit/ Maracuya drinks. My food order took another 30 minutes to come out. Minus 1 star for the longer wait period as they were not busy at all. Ambiance- The inside was a little small but decorated nicely. Had a Birria burrito (my favorite dish to judge a restaurant). Large portion but kind of dry and didn't have much flavor or spice. Salsa was very mild and didn't have much flavor either. Ambiance and service were good. read more

Service was exceptional and this was our first eating in restaurant, usually take out. Fast service and fresh ingredients, restaurant is a lil on smaller size but has nice patio seating too. Always like the food, deducted just a star because the grilled chicken was very bland, not a lot of flavor, maybe an off day or different cook. We ordered combo plates and wow, such generous portions that we have not had in other Mexican restaurants. Their tacos were not small, and filled with a lot of meat. First time here for lunch on Sunday. The inside space is small but there is also has a nice patio outside to dine. Our order for three diners included mixed fajitas, taco salad, crispy tacos and a side of rice. All of the food was nicely prepared and tasted great. Our server, Alfredo was very friendly and accommodating with our requests. Only odd issue was our meals came out one at a time with a delay of a few minutes in-between. read more

The food was amazing, I got their enchiladas and the quesabirria tacos. The staff kindly gave us complimentary chips and salsa which were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is a bit small so if you go during busy lunch hour it can be a wait. But for the price and quality of the food, this place is truly a hidden gem. I recommend anyone in the area to try this spot for authentic mexican food. They also do doordash pickups if you would like the to go option. I'd come back if I was craving the tacos. read more

One of my favorites not just because they are close to home! I've had the crispy beef taquitos, super burrito, al pastor and carne asada tacos, and today's order with the birria tacos and rice and beans. This was A LOT of food. The tacos are homemade tortillas and they are generous tacos. I'm ok with leftovers and I'm sure this will all heat up beautifully again but in the future I know I don't need 3 of these at once. They are delicious but a little heavy with the fried, cheesy, beefy goodness. Super friendly staff, easy to order, quick turnaround and food quality is excellent. Of course my nail in the coffin for a solid choice is their chips and salsa - delicious! You are missing out if you haven't tried this spot yet. This was hands down the Best Mexican Food we've had in Sonoma County. The Queso Birria Tacos are HUGE and the meat was out of this world. We feasted on the richly flavored mole chicken (seriously the fluffiest freshest pulled chicken I've ever had) with delicate refried beans and rice, accompanied by light crispy nachos chips and 3 unique dipping sauces. Went to Cielito Lindo tonight. We ordered the prawn fajitas and a kids quesadilla, horchata, and a margarita. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The margarita was STRONG and big--well worth the money. The horchata was also delicious, a big pint glass with refills. The service was a little spotty, we waited a while for our menus to come, but once I asked for them and the other servers came out, things picked up a bit. The ambience is ok, nothing that special. I'm not sure that we'll be back, but, overall, a decent neighborhood Mexican restaurant. read more

I've been here many times over the past four years. But I somehow forgot to update my review, three years ago if you would have asked my thoughts I would have said they are ok. However now I think they are great! I love their nachos, I usually ask for a half order because the full order is too much for me to finish and I usually get pork chile verde, or steak. I also love their steak tacos, or the birria tacos are also very good. They make a tasty horchata, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff is friendly. Had lunch here today with my husband. Not a large restaurant, but really nice and comfortable. We were greeted right away, served chips and salsas and before we knew it, served our lunch. I wasn't too hungry so we ended up ordering a three item combo to share. Chile relleno for me, two chicken tacos for my husband and it came with rice and beans. My husband enjoyed the chicken tacos and I loved the relleno. Best relleno I've ever tasted, but still a bit greasy. The relleno had a nice light batter and either the chile or the cheese had a nice spicy bite to it. Usually rellenos are kind of bland and you need the sauce for flavor, but not this one...it was great without any sauce. Will definitely come again if we're in the area. read more

The food was really good and fresh. The Chile Verde burrito was one of the best ever. So big I have lunch for tomorrow. My mom had two crispy which she said was really good. I am a fussy person no avocado, guacamole, or sour cream. Just pure burrito, so service got it right. I cannot comment on ambiance because this was a Doordash or. We will try this again. My first time at Cielito Lindo and it did not disappoint. There's so many Mexican restaurants and food trucks to choose from in Santa Rosa so competition is definitely fierce! I love the ease of ordering. I placed an Uber Eats order and swung by to pick up 15 mins later and it was ready and waiting for me. I ordered a horchata, a side of rice & beans and 4 chicken tacos. The chicken tacos at this spot is larger than most places that only offer tiny street tacos. The chicken pieces were a little chunky. I prefer smaller pieces. The cilantro and onions garnish the top and I enjoyed squeezing lime juices on top. Unlike many other places that have juicy salsa or the taco oily or soaked, the tacos here are dry so you can enjoy it without being mushy. Service was friendly when I walked in to pick up. I have been here a few times the food is great but the service is horrible! There is 3 different girls that work one doesn't understand English very well, the other time the other one had I think her son there he was screaming throwing a tantrum very obnoxious, and the other had her dogs outside so I couldn't even sit out there and she was more worried about them then the clients and they all have terrible costumer service they are talking and screaming in the kitchen and forget they have costumers! We were craving Mexican food and wanted to try somewhere different than our "usual" restaurants. We decided to try Cielito Lindo. I'm so glad we did. It was delicious. We ordered it to go. The service was great - ordering was easy and the staff were friendly. When we arrived the food was ready. We ordered burritos (the super chicken burrito and a carnitas burrito). They were both huge - stuffed with a lot of fresh deliciousness! We will definitely go again! I'd like to try the Sopesitos, Pancho Pistolas, Tacos and Enchiladas. Comida deliciosa! I would not recommend this restaurant because of their tipping requirements. I paid for a $300 + meal and we had good food and service. When paying I asked if they added a tip, and they did add a 20% tip, which was fine with me. But then they handed me the electronic paying device, and additional tips were shown, or I had to push the button for "no tip" in order to complete the bill. In other words, after giving a $70+ tip, I was required to push a button that said "no tip", in order to complete the transaction. read more

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. Looooooove the food and omg their salsa options are fantastic. Okay dishes we specifically go for and recommend are ceviche!!!! I'm a fish ceviche type of person over shrimp and this one is soooooo good and fresh everytime we get it. Also love the taquitos, flautas, and they have a great chile relleno. My wife I decided on a last minute breakfast/lunch and stopped in on a quiet Saturday morning. They had just opened (at 10AM), and were greeted and told to take any open table. We had the place to ourselves (as were standing at the front door 10 minutes before opening time). The ambiance is open with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A few minutes after being seated, we were presented with menus and chips and two kinds of salsa. A word of caution as the serving was plentiful, so be careful not to stuff yourself before your mains arrive. The menu has everything from delicious breakfast options to lunch and dinner options. My wife with the chilaquiles and chose green sauce and eggs cooked to order (she went with over easy. I opted for the carnitas. Before too long our mains arrived. My wife's was spot on perfect. Eggs were yummy and runny. My carnitas not at all greasy with perfect sides of rice and beans. The warm house made tortillas might be the best in the county. The place was EMPTY when we walked in around 6pm but I swear, by 6:15pm, it was packed. It's funny how quickly my "uh oh" impression turned to "what have I been missing?" Chips and salsa set the one and both were on point. I don't know what I was eating as it was like a creamy, tomato-y salsa and I couldn't get enough! Spicy and flavorful! Thanks to my dining mates, I got to taste a few items: -Chile relleno was oozing with cheese, had a good sauce, batter wasn't oily. -Carne Asada enchiladas in a red sauce - the meat was seasoned well, not fatty, tender. -Pork tamales had just enough masa. -Chicken/steak fajitas - I didn't prefer how saucy it was but like all reviews, that's just a personal preference. The flavor was really good, lots of meat and veggies, etc. (Refried beans were delish, rice not my fav, guacamole was perfect.) But my favorite - I had no idea but the corn tortillas were made fresh! HAD I KNOWN, I'd probably just ordered a side of those and some of the beans and called it a day. I love fresh, housemade corn tortillas. Tasty, authentic Mexican food.
