Buona Caffe coffee is delicious, and the freshly roasted beans make such a difference. Not to mention perfect espresso and mouth-watering treats by Southern Scratch. Jon and Pat and all of the new staff are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. I reserved the back room in the cafe for a morning meeting, where we ordered the organic quiche and coffee from the counter. They had juices and hot tea for those who were not coffee-drinkers. This room provides privacy for our meeting of about 10 people and the staff provided excellent service. I am definitely recommending this place to anyone who wants to have a new coffee home. read more

This, I think, is as good as coffee gets in Augusta, so five stars. Could use some more comfortable chairs and better air conditioning, of course as a Northern boy I found quicklythat there was a reason that arm chair in the window was free. I was too proud to move and just baked with my coffee. No airpots--if you want brewed coffee they make you a pourover. That shows a dedication that I approve of. read more

Happened to be driving by after a meeting across town ... So glad I stopped. Groovy atmosphere. Adorable staff. Perhaps the best coffee I've had. Had a simple pour-over, Tunisian medium roast. So wish I'd tried it before adding anything ... Incredibly smooth ... Absolutely no bitter grab at any point going down. Will most definitely revisit to test my theory. :) read more

It's a great hang out, place to study or catch up with friends. If you're in a rush, i wouldn't necessarily swing by here expecting to grab and go--everything is made with care. I don't make it to Augusta very often, I've only been down a couple times in the past few years to visit family, but I was just so delighted by this place, I felt like I had to write a review. I live in Ann Arbor, MI, a town with about 1/4th of the population of the metro Augusta population but probably 3 times as many local coffee roasters and coffee shops... Seriously, people live and breathe anything labeled "artisan" and "local" here. And while that certainly adds a thick layer of pretension to a lot of these establishments, it does make for a lot of readily available quality coffee, which also makes for really high expectations on my end. It's really nice in general to visit a coffee shop that is full of welcoming and down-to-earth people, something that I'm unfortunately not used to. The staff is extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and obviously very dedicated to the quality of their products. Every time I've been in, I've noticed the baristas greeting customers by name as they walk in, which doesn't surprise me - not only are their drinks and snacks delicious, but the atmosphere is really inviting and cozy. I'd be in nearly everyday, too, if I lived nearby. The coffee is amazing, by far some of the best I've ever had, and I always make sure I bring a bag of beans back home with me each time I visit. Their prices are very, very fair for the quality, and there's always a great selection. My only complaint? That my expectations are so much higher now... (I guess I can deal with that!) read more

I go there about once a month to get a bags of freshly ground coffee. My wife brought me home a bag of "Black Ops". The coffee sat for about a week because I had a Kuireg and didn't know how how to brew coffee that wasn't in a K-Cup. I went to Walgreens to get a few things low and behold there's was a Product called "Café cup". The next morning I started drinking the Black Ops, I have not stopped since. The original building was a house which gives the Cafe a more welcoming place. On my first visit to get more Black Ops the staff was more then helpful to grind the coffee up asking me Whether it was for a standard maker or something else. This business is more than stellar. They will be in business for a long time to come. read more

I loved the atmosphere. It was surprisingly accommodating despite the large number of patrons. It is much larger than it looks from the outside. My first visit happened to be during their 1 year Anniversary celebration. The staff were very hospitable and the iced coffee I had was delicious. I appreciated the cozy, coffee-house ambiance and the prices were great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a midday get-away. read more

The Cheese tart accented with white wine infused onions made my day even though I was there for coffee and Internet. The friendly barista did not disappoint with one of the best latte's I have had in a while. The cafe had a charming vibe and plenty of outlets and seating to get a few emails answered between meetings. Just a stone's throw from the backside of the beautiful Paine College campus, this lil gem is a wonderful spot for some good strong coffee and cake. It's cross-the-street from Crums and has the most knowledgeable staff. I enjoy coffee but I am not a coffeehead. Coffeeheads unite! This is the place for you. Details, history, and authentic roast are at your diposal here. If u have good timing u may get the prime seating over in the corner to lounge and such. If not any spot will do. Lots to see. steady stream of interesting folk in and out. Off Central and a little (for me) hard to find but well worth the trip. It is a destination because it's not near anything else. Once again, I'm not familiar with that aide of Augusta. When you walk in (first up a few steep steps that leads to a oddly placed door) , it seems a bit small with the usual tables, chairs, and couches. As you approach the counter, however, you notice that there are rooms in the back with more seating. My hubbs loves their iced coffee and for me their varieties of hot coffee are flavorful. I don't make it to the actual store as often as I enjoy their coffee at the Augusta Market, at which they are there every (pretty much) Saturday. They are located at the Reynolds street side as you first walk in to the market, which is a great location to grab a cup of Joe before you walk down the market isle. If you bring your cup back, they will refill it for a buck. ;p read more

Can't beat the smell and taste, they will even make you a special blend in your own name. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but I enjoy the atmosphere and smells while my wife truly loves the coffee (we make a special trip from aiken just to get some). The staff and owners are extremely knowledgeable and interactive while taking the time to teach and answer the off the wall and in depth questions.
