The absolute best vanilla latte I have every had. In addition to my latte I ordered chicken salad on a croissant with pasta salad and a chocolate chip cookie. Food was just as delicious as my vanilla latte. I truly enjoyed myself and this place. I sat on the sofa ate my food and read my book. I fell madly in love with this place. read more

So I finally decided to go back and what a different experience. My coffee was wonderful and the guy who took my order was so nice and helpful. I got one of their amazing ham and cheese rolls and wow. I brought it up to school with me and everyone was asking where they could get one. Nice cafe with ample parking street side and in the back. The staff is friendly and there are two sections for people to sit. There is the seating near the outer windows and a quieter area in the back where I have seen many students study. That doesn't mean you have to be quiet while you're in either section, but that was my impression. There is also some seating outside, which is nice to sit at with their wonderful coffee. I haven't tried any of their snacks except for the coffee, but it was delicious and not too expensive. read more

First experience at this cafe was wonderful. The owner was present and very knowledgeable, and the batista was helpful. 2nd time: aweful experience. Unknowledgeable lazy man with a unkempt beard and bad attitude. Couldn't get the 3 drinks we ordered right and one of them was coffee. Dirty dishes everywhere so they didnt have anything but togo cups. I want them to do well because they are an independent coffee shop, but that is not reason enough to buy bad coffee and have a bad customer service experience. Lets face it, there aren't many true cafés in Augusta. This place has good coffee if you need a cup and the customer service is good. The atmosphere is as calm as sitting in the library with a good book. There's a sense of encouragement to stay a while, make yourself at home and enjoy a cup of their in house roast. You won't find that at Starsucks or any other place in town in my opinion. I give them 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. The parking also isn't that great but it's the best they can do given the location. There is this one spot right next to the building that can certainly fit two cars but some yahoo always parks there and takes up both spots. Additionally, the parking area could use a little landscaping and some defined parking spots even if it was with sidewalk chalk. But don't let that discourage you... I would definitely park across the street at the Hambuger/HairSalon/Church building and play chicken with the traffic for an Americano or Spiced Latte. I'd recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the taste of coffee and understands that there is a distinct difference between Folgers in your cup and a freshly roasted been from some little farm without land to mass produce their product for profit at the expense of quality. read more

Coffee was decent. I think I was expecting more because of all the other reviews. The coffee was very bitter and tasted a little burnt. I was looking for a place with great a great latte that could be my go to spot. This place was cute but not really relaxing room lay outs were weird. My friend also felt the same way. We are both from NYC and both love coffee but I guess had a higher expectations from reviews or it being the best the area had to offer. I Had to use lots of sugar to counter the bitterness and make ithe drinkable. I wanted to love this place more then I did. Still probably the best in augusta for coffee. I was so hoping this was going to be an amazing shop, and it really was up until I sat down. They roast their own coffee, do an AMAZING cold brew and have some seriously great pour over. BUT and this is a big but, MY DOUBLE SHOT WAS BITTER AS HECK!!!! I think she went a little light on the bean and got a fast extraction, but everything else deserves a 5 star. read more

What else can be said about Buona that the rave reviews below can't say already? It's some of the best coffee in the country - and while their espresso roast isn't the BEST of the best (but is still really good), their other roasts and blends are superb. I've been to all four corners of the US, and it really does surpass anything else I've had. All of their beans are on offer for purchase - and if they don't have what you want out front, they'll happily get you a bag of whatever beans you like. If you're serious about coffee, this is a good source for your beans. There's more good news for those of us who move around a lot - they ship all around the country! Their baristas are top notch and know their stuff. If all you know is Starbucks (nothing wrong with that!), then I encourage you to ask questions. The baristas are friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable - and have no problem educating people. The food is good (they have one of the best chicken salad sandwiches in the city, by far), but the focus really is on the coffee. They also serve tea, desserts of various kinds (cakes, cookies, brownies, peanut butter bars, scones), affogato, Italian sodas and mixed drinks. A small note about parking - the parking lot is very small, and I'd suggest parking on the side of the road (just be polite about people's driveways!) read more

The prices are unbeatable for the quality and I'd rather come here than that coffee chain with the mermaid! This is an AMAZING little coffee shop. It's locally owned and everything is homemade and high quality. The homemade caramel syrup (I had an iced caramel latte) was so good. It's made in small batches as they use it throughout the day. I saw some other lattes and they have beautiful art in the foam. It's a quaint, comfortable place to hang out. They have free WiFi and tables available for you to bring your laptop. The employees were all super friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't make me feel rushed or anything. Amazing coffee, great ambiance for studying, and an incredibly friendly staff -- what more could you ask for? They have a decent selection of coffees and espresso drinks as well as both sweet and savory pastries. The baristas are always willing to provide suggestions and help you pick a drink/food item. I have been here a few times and have been able to sample different menu options. I highly recommend the dark chocolate cherry scone! The pound cake and lemon-blueberry scone are also good. They have a quiche of the day, but that was only okay. It had a great flavor but the crust tasted stale. They have other food items such as croissant sandwiches and paninis, but I have yet to try them. If you're planning on studying here for a while, I recommend dressing lightly for it can get quite hot here. The quiche and the hot temperature (during all of my visits) is the only thing keeping this place from receiving five starts from me. read more
