salad with way to much sliced black olives...

got chicken honey mustard salad Thursday 9/5 they should called a Black Sliced Olives Salad I did ask for no tomatoes but I should have said no black olives. I like black olives but not a pile full(see picture) plus why can't places selling green salads cut up the lettuce in bite size pieces but no you get large chucks then you cut it and 1/2 the salad ends up on the table which did it get wiped with a clean towel or a dirty towel??? at the table we also had a beef sandwich, a hamburger, 2 fries, med beverage and a milk shake all for $56. The price of going out is getting crazy...

I love Buona! Buona has authentic Italian beef sandwiches, incredible fries, and great treats! From the moment that you walk in. To the minute that you walk out. Everyone is kind, helpful, and inviting. I've been here a few different times and everything is wonderful! From the quality of the food to the taste. It is perfect. They have lots of seating inside or outside. Or you can take it togo. Whatever, you decide to do, you'll enjoy it! I guarantee.

    Very clean dining room.

We have always been die-hard fans of Buona's competition (The "P" named restaurant) and so we never tried Buona. Big mistake. We had a coupon of some sorts to Buona and so we decided to try it. The restaurant was modern and clean. The staff was very friendly. Most importantly, the food was delicious! I got their chopped salad and my husband had the ravioli. We liked the food so much that we returned the following week.

I went through the drive thru, ordered a chicken chopped salad, got home, opened salad, no chicken. The gentleman at window was great. Told me I had 2 accounts, which I did not know. So, he said, when I came in again, we could fix it. I'll come again. I've always had a good experience here, and mistakes are sometimes made.

There was so much hoopla going on in the media about their new plant based imitation Italian Beef Sandwich the wife and I just had to try it. Much to my surprise it was very good. Both the meat and gravy are plant based. Both tasted authentic. The only give away really is the texture. It was softer and easier to chew than beef. They have a good product here! This location is relatively new and it is laid out very nicely and the service is good as well. Good place to eat!

The sad fact is that a customer does not always have a great experience at some businesses. However, what the staff does to correct the problem is what makes a business a good business in my opinion. My visit to Buona in Glen Ellyn did not start that great but one of the managers Katelyn stepped in and made my experience beyond satisfying (I hope I am getting her name correct). I left feeling like I was taken care of and was 110% satisfied even though there was initially an issue. Great job Katelyn and Buona for knowing how to run a business and for understanding what good customer service is. Also in my opinion Buona has raised its game over the last few years exceeding most of its competition in food quality and customer service, Especially over Portillo's. Keep it up Katyelyn and Buona.

Buona beef is a staple in our ordering out rotation. Super delicious beef sandwiches, salads and PIZZA! There's more than that on the menu but those are my top 3. I feel like this place is similar to portillos, definitely with the taste and quality of beef. What buona doesn't do as well as portillos is burgers, hotdogs or fries. But let's go back to the pizza. If you order it on Thursdays, it's discounted! These are 9 inch pizzas with ample amounts of topping and a super fantastic crust. Definitely try it if you haven't! They have dine in, drive thru, and delivery options. And if the order isn't quite right, let them know. They have great customer service! We will continue to support our Buona beef!!

So I'm from Chicago in visiting from California and this is definitely a chain that creates consistently great Italian beefs! Order it hot and juicy or even 'baptized' for a double dip Making their perfectly amazing French bread melt in your mouth. They amply pack the Giardiniera, pronounced "jar-din-air-ah" (a combo of small pickled vegetables and olives in a very spicy oil) that will explode in flavor in your mouth. Or, for those wanting mild, I'm sure they can add bell peppers which is the gentle way for those that aren't spiceholics. You may or may not know that there are four major components to a solid Chicago Italian beef sandwich: the beef, au jus, Giardiniera and French bread and just saying, Buona checks off all boxes.

I've seen a lot of griping from people that they had hoped this spot was more in line with the other restaurants under the Bien Trucha banner but I feel like they did a decent job of setting expectations while letting people know this was going to be a different experience so I wasn't thrown by the new concept. I enjoyed the feel of the place and the ambiance. Felt like a chill bar spot I would have no problem hanging out in while in Wheaton with the added bonus of delicious, affordable Mexican fare that doesn't sacrifice quality. I ordered some tasty shrimp tacos with great seasoning and handmade tortillas. They were topped with what was definitely the best guacamole I've tasted from a fast casual spot. Others at the table tried several different types of tacos as well as enchiladas and everything looked really appetizing. We also sampled a number of their draft cocktails which all tasted wonderful. Sweetchilango can definitely hit the spot if you're looking for an elevated fast casual expierence.

This restaurant is a recent addition to the…read moreBien Trucha group, but of all the locations I have eaten at (Bien Trucha, Santo Cielo and Quiubo; have not been to Lil Donkey or A Toda Madre) this was the weakest one. Why? - We both thought the corn tortillas were too thick and flabby. These tacos are somewhat bigger than you get at other places, so the support structure needs to be there, but I have seen other places get around this with two thinner tortillas instead. These also barely seemed to have touched a comal: they weren't blistered and still had a doughy quality. - The thick tortillas translated into thick tortilla chips, and neither of us liked the salsa Verde. My fiance liked the house sauce that is in a bottle on the table better. - He got two tacos and a side of esquites (street corn), I got three tacos. We both thought the chicken (in his chicken tinga taco and my pollo pipian taco) tasted gamy. He liked the one better with steak and potato (picadillo), and the esquites was good. I liked the flavor of the rajas con crema quite a bit, with poblano pepper, cheese curds and corn, but it was rather messy to eat. Likewise, my birria taco was very flavorful but just poured grease out of the end...yuck. - For two of us for dinner with no drinks (both got tap water) it was right at $50 (48 and change). That is a LOT for tacos, especially considering that some weren't very good (looking at that chicken here). - A note on accessibility: I was encouraged because there's a ramp going up into the restaurant, but there are only a few regular tables: most are high tops. I wish this trend in restaurants would go away! Everyone can use a regular table; not everyone can use a high top. One accessible thing is that you can either order at the counter, or order from a QR code menu and they'll bring it to your table. So overall, Sweetchilango is only getting a middling grade from me. There are so many other good taco shops in this area that I don't need to break the bank coming here. I'd say it's an optional choice if you're looking for something different, but the inconsistency of the quality of the dishes we had make trying something new a challenge.

I liked the burger and the curly fries. They have a very large menu. The logistics of getting in and out of Schmale rd.as well as the pain points of going in for counter service rates a one-star rating for me. I did not figure in these factors into my rating. My best advice is to avoid going into the restaurant to order at the counter or to eat in the restaurant. There is no room to wait for your order to be prepared. The self serve beverage station and the order kiosks are right in the middle of where people wait for their order to be done. So it is continually "Excuse me..Excuse me..Sorry, I'm in your way." The restaurant was fully staffed and the workers were very nice. The ambiance of the eating area is poor. The booths have padding on the back but there is no padding on the seat. So you are sitting on a hard slap of formica. And of course if it is crowded, you may experience the overflow of people waiting for their counter order just hanging around your table. That is why I advise doing drive-through. I liked the food enough to try a different location. Getting and eating at a fast food place should not be this difficult.

It was worth the trip we had to travel a lot better than we used to. I live in Bloomingdale and we usually find places to eat that are 8 to 10 minutes away. We got there I knew what I was getting right away. My friends had to think about it for a while because they had so many different things on the menu--BBQ Ribs, Italian Beef, Souvlaki Chicken or Pork, and more. The dinners were about $20 each--but it was worth every penny--each serving included a Greek Salad, Seasoned Potatoes, and the main entree. I ran into a guy who also recommended the Gyros. My two friends both ordered the Souvlaki Chicken. The chicken was on two skewers. Both of them took home doggy bags because it was a lot of food! Service was great-- the staff was friendly and, even though the customers were to pick up the food themselves, a guy named "Will" helped me by carrying the meals to our table. It appeared that a tip was not expected. As far as ambiance, the dining area was relatively small. There were both seats and chairs, but they also offered outdoor dining. I often judge a restaurant by the condition of their rest rooms. They only had one co-ed bathroom and it needed much attention--unclean and the toilet was clogged with toilet paper. That being said, we will definitely go back there. The gyro plate was as good or better than any other restaurant that makes them.
