As someone who gets full pretty quickly, I ended up sharing my burger and fries, and there was still plenty to enjoy. We sat on the 2nd floor which has its own bar (nice since the wait staff doesn't need to go downstairs for drinks). This is a casual spot with lots of natural light coming in. There are plenty of TVs throughout which I noticed had sports on. Service throughout was OK. It did take awhile for our sever to take our order, check in, and bring drinks. I can understand if it was busy but that wasn't the case. I will say it wasn't like 45 mins of waiting, however, still not the greatest service. For food I ordered the social burger cooked well done and chose the side salad (minus feta). The dressing that comes with the salad is up my alley. I think it may have been some type of vinaigrette. Whatever it was, it was tangy and sour, I really liked it. The burger was also good. Since I'm pregnant I need to make sure all meats are thoroughly cooked. The inside is very industrial with the same layout of a large bar and dining area on both the first and second floor. The second floor also features a small patio area. When I visited, i ordered The Pitmaster burger. The burger was stacked high with toppings and the meat was juicy. I also highly recommend getting a side of their ranch for fries. Most of their burgers come with pretzel buns but they also have potato buns. I love the variety of burgers they offer and enjoy seeing what monthly burger, cocktail, taco, and shake they have. I visited during a Sunday during football season where they had additional wings, beer, and an old fashioned special. The only drawback to the experience was the service level. There were a couple of instances where drinks lingered coming to the table and requested refills weren't given. While our server was present, there were very long timespans in between check-ins. Luckily, I like brisket and it ended up being delicious, so it wasn't a big deal. The mac and cheese, which you can customize with toppings, was probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. We shared the wagyu smash burger and the barbacoa grilled cheese with truffle fries and onion rings. The burger was juicy and I liked the pretzel bun! The egg white was slightly raw on half the burger which wasn't ideal. The barbacoa grilled cheese was good as a sandwich, but it didn't really satisfy as a grilled cheese. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by the decor, especially the cool stenciling on the brick wall going up the staircase. This restaurant is much bigger than it appears. The server upstairs allowed us tons of time to socialize prior to ordering. He knew exactly the right time to approach us for our orders. The burgers do take some time, so if you're starving you'll need an appetizer. We ordered the naan burger with truffle fries and the shrimp burger with macaroni and cheese. Prices were fair for the portions received. -naan burger with truffle fries 4.5 - lamb was cooked well. It practically melted in my mouth, great texture. My husband and I stopped in on Saturday evening and sat at the bar (there was a 39 min wait, so reservations are recommended). The entire experience can be summed in in a word: BLAND. The ambience was nice, and we sat at the bar right away to get drinks and food without the wait. The service was ok, not overly friendly or attentive, but not bad, but the food was...not good at all. We had the recommended nachos (after being told the poutine was meh), and we went with the Social Burger because we had heard great things about these burgers. We ordered it cooked medium. When it arrived, it looked like a hockey puck. It resembled one of the pre-formed frozen burgers from the grocery store, but those taste better. My friend and I met up for dinner and because of the nice weather, we sat outside under the large tented common space that all the restaurants use. I ordered the Chili Relleno Burger and my friend ordered the Barbacoa Burger. Overall the Chili Relleno Burger was good, except the chorizo tasted more like seasoned taco meat. Other than that, it was a good burger. I had a taste of the Barbacoa Burger and that was super flavorful and delicious. And the fries had a good crunch to them. My friends and I were out in the burbs for a cancer walk nearby and afterwards were looking to grab a bite and beer. Found this place on Yelp and came by. We were here on a Saturday and the entire front street was blocked off with canopy tents and seating so it appears they were having a festival of some sort. The Burger Social was fairly busy when we arrived and continued to get busier as time went out. They have TVs for sports fans, however we didn't partake in that and we were also sat in a high top 4 seater by the window which was perfect anyways. Our server was VERY friendly and fairly prompt our entire time. Getting the check paid was the only time it took a while. We all got some hazy IPAs (which are my favorite in general) and I really enjoyed the Noon Whistle Frozen FX. Highly recommend! My friends both got other hazy IPAs and we all were meh about it. Lots of apps to choose from, but my party went with the cauliflower tots and truffle fries. Both were great, and thank goodness the truffle fries were not smothered in truffle oil. Just enough and a good sprinkling of parmesan. Not too salty either. There's always a burger of the month (apparently a taco and shake too!), which makes it fun to come back. You better have a hearty appetite coming here, because The Burger Social doesn't mess around. Overall, this place has good quality burgers for the price. There are some that are strong hits here. Quality- my personal default is the social burger because it lets you customize the add ons and is always high quality. I like it with some avocado for the fresher taste and They cook the patty's here a perfect medium rare and the Fries are crispy and not dry. The pork belly burger is quite flavorful as well but I found the pieces of meat to be a bit dry. The wagyu-Mexican burger (loco crunch) is not bad but they skimp a bit on the meat here. My least favorite is the shrimp patty burger. It unfortunately does not taste fresh and it falls apart. Quantity- you get quite a bit for the price here. Would highly recommend making a reservation because the restaurant was packed and we had to wait maybe 10 minutes even with a reservation. The staff was also very busy so we waited for maybe 30 minutes to get our food after being seated. I didn't mind the wait so I won't take any stars off but keep this in mind. The burgers were HUGE and almost worth the money especially because of their unique flavors, but it was a pretty expensive sandwich... This place never disappoints! I would come here just to get fries but theres far too much good stuff to stop there. I got The Big Shot Bison Burger and it's fantastic. If you're not into heat than sub out the habanero aioli for their delicious dijonaise. In the past I got the Wild Mushroom Bleu burger and it's my favorite so far. The vibe is great and the decor has its own unique feel that helps it stand out from other cool bar/restaurants in this area. Service is also top tier, everyone seems like they enjoy working here and believe in the product. Our waiter was on point and knew the menu/drinks which was a plus! Food arrived in a timely fashion. I recommend making a reservation if your coming for the weekend because they get very busy. There is 3 floors. We sat upstairs pretty much covered outdoor with heat which was good. It did not feel cold at all than expected. Everything was tasty and wow the size of the onion rings oh my!! We love the Geneva Burger Local and decided to try the Wheaton location. We came on a Friday night and had a 5pm reservation . The place was hopping and we were glad we had a reservation. My husband ordered the Korean Burger , I ordered the Barbocoa Burger and our friend had the Salmon Salad. Everything was wonderful. For drinks - I tried the Call it to the Pen w/ rum and pineapple juice and Christmas Rum-Cation w/ rum and Baileys. The Christmas one is the way to go! I wish I had gotten only that one as it was really good. For dinner - we got the Spicy Nacho Burger and Naan Burger. Wow! Outstanding on both. We split them between my husband and myself and I could not pick a favorite. If you like nacho chips - go for the spicy nacho, but if you're partial to lamb - go for the Naan burger.
