The chicken gyros wasn't a gyros at all. The chicken was chopped up pieces of chicken, but not shaved off of a spit at all The pita was saggy with oil. They put tomato and onion on that was cooked and soggy and gross. The tzatziki sauce was not fresh. The cheese fries were freezer burn tasting, old over cooked oily potatoes and the cheese was just like nacho cheese sauce. Bad. This place really went down the tube since they were bought by new management. I do not recommend and I would not be back. read more

Choose a different restaurant!!! They can't even make a hotdog order correctly. My buns were hard on top and soggy on the bottom. The hot dogs fell out. They put a large zig zag amount of mustard all over the top including bith sides of the bun. You couldn't even hold the hot dog without getting mustard all over your hand. I've been coming here for years and today something was very very different. It pains me to leave a one star but I ordered two hot dogs. The first one I opened literally had a dripping wet bun. The second was worse that bun was rock hard which tells me they are trying to steam old food back to life. The hotdog also has a totally different layout. No one in the Chicagoland area would put mustard on top of a hotdog. They tuck it in near the bun so it doesn't make a mess. I didn't eat either dog once I saw the one hotdog peeking out and it looked brown, dry and old. Too bad - the place is pretty convenient but you can't mess with food safety. Went to get my emissions test on a windy day and the aroma of all things fried made me finally give in to my curiosity for Patelli's much-hyped crispy beef roll. The cashier was friendly and took my order quickly. I ordered a crispy beef roll to-go along with some of their garlic parm fries. The food came out fast, about 8 minutes. I have to say that the crispy beef roll was definitely interesting. It was a good size, the beef and peppers were nicely cooked, the cheese inside was melted perfectly, and the shell was very crisp. That being said, the roll by itself just didn't hit all the marks for me taste-wise. It had a slight sweetness to it that isn't what I look for with Italian beef. The very tasty and piping hot cup of jus was able to round out the taste for me though. The garlic parm fries were a surprising hit for me considering that I just ordered them on a whim. I was initially let down when I first opened the container and saw that the fries looked a little soggy already but happily realized that there was still plenty of crispness when I dug in. Very good flavor and would definitely order again. Given this experience I would give more menu items a try at Patelli's but I'm not necessarily in a rush to get back there. read more

We have seen the Patelli's sign and my hubby finally got curious enough about their "crispy beef" to try it. He loved it and wants to go back for more. I had a hot dog and it was pretty good. Prices were reasonable. However the atmosphere wasn't great because there were numerous people goofing off at the counter who were making a LOT of noise making it difficult to really enjoy our food. The crispy rolls are amazing! They are stuffed and big. I'd afk to have them fry a little longer so it fries through. My only bad note is get better fries! They are regular soggy crinkle fries. Either make sure the oil is hot enough or fry longer. Highly suggest getting fresh cut or skinny fries. This place is super good though read more

I daydream and look at the clock way too much thinking about a gyro from here! I swear it's the best around, the meat is the right perfect balance of crispy edges and soft melts in the middle. Each bite is better. This thing is huge also. I really should split it in two meals... but never do! The fries are crinkle cut, slightly salted. Was a regular here until most recent. seems the quality went down. They used to have the best krinkly french fries, but unfortunately are not the same anymore. Looks like there is new management. Heard about the crispy gyro roll & I just had to try it. I wish that by the time I brought it home and unwrapped it, it wasn't soggy and super greasy. I get it, it's fried food and suppose to be greasy. It was so greasy I could feel that layer on my hand. I had to try to dab off most of the grease. They have other fried rolls on the menu...Fried Philly cheesesteak roll, fried Italian beef roll, etc. maybe I'll give it some time before I decide to give it another try. read more

Still, an interesting place with friendly staff and a 10% discount off of already reasonably-priced fare. When will restaurants learn you cannot put hot food in plastic bags?? Ordered from uber eats (another nightmare in itself) and when i took the paper bag of fries out the bag was literally wet and the fries were one big soggy congealed mess. Gyro was ok except for the fact every bite i took almost broke a tooth on whatever was in there. Lots of tiny hard bits. The crispy beef was of course inedible as it also was totally soggy. Please spend a little more for the paper bags with a handle. Or even grocery type bags folded and stapled. read more

The quality and quantity of food here surpasses All other hot dog places I have visited in Chicagoland. This includes Portillos. The owner of the place can't be getting rich with the HUGE portions. The Polish is easily a 1/3 lb plus great fixings. The Gyro plate was too much to eat so I saved it for breakfast. In this huge meal I got close to a pound of gyro meat and two flat bread/pitas. Patelli's is nicely lit and clean and in a nice area. It appears to be the lingo of places that is good to take your family. The prices are reasonable and the menu is extensive with lots of great choices. I will be back next week. read more

Was not impressed. I had been looking forward to trying one of their Crispy Italian Beefs that I had been seeing all over social media for the past few weeks. I ordered mine with hot peppers and NO sweet peppers. Well, once I got it home to eat it, about a 3-4minute drive I unwrapped it and it was very soggy, nothing crispy about it. Additionally there were no hot peppers and they put sweet peppers in it, yuck! I ordered a chicken sandwich for my wife and specifically said no mayo yet there was mayo on it. I did pick out the sweet peppers so I could eat it and it tasted pretty good. The fries were good as well but all in all not a good first impression. read more

I have driven past this place 100 times. Someone was telling me this week apparently the owner is very involved in the community/sponsoring events etc., so I made a mental note to check it out. Happened to be driving by tonight and have no idea how I haven't been here sooner. Healthy sized gyro and so so good. Not just a basic ingredient gyro. The athletics of the place is pretty basic but the woman at the cashier was super friendly and helpful with the menu. My wife stopped in previously with a friend and spoke highly about this place. I checked reviews and figured we would stop in for a meal and check out the hype. We ordered 2 gyro combos and a beef and cheddar croissant. They were average in my opinion. I thought that the tzatziki sauce had an off flavor or at least what I recall from many other sauces that I have had in the past. This place has AMAZING food. Best Chicago hot dogs, cheese fries, the best burgers (so many various options the mega burger is bomb but so I'd the bomboa burger!), THE CHICKEN WINGS ARE SO GOOD AND HUGE. I recommend almost anything from here I come almost once a week and try new things a lot and everything has been amazing! 10/10 recommend. Also the staff are friendly I come a lot and they know me and my regular order now, which is great and very welcoming! I am surprised I have never heard of this place before. In the short review, it was amazing. I did not walk inside. Instead, I used the drive through. I ordered the Gyro sandwich and a Chicago hot dog. The person at the drive through was very friendly and nice. And the bill was within reason. Upon reaching home, I was excited to see why this food smelt amazing. The Chicago dog looked amazing. It had ripe tomatoes, steamed bun, a nice snap to the dog, two sport peppers and all the other typical topping. Honestly, it was one of the best Chicago Hot Dogs I've ever had and let them you... I've had hundreds, if not millions. The gyro was next. It was wrapped tightly in those half paper, half foil wrappers. The tzatziki sauce was on the side which is a nice touch. Other locations normally just pile it on top and wrap it. Then by the time you eat it, the sauce is more on the paper than your sandwich. Or biting into another location, all you get is sauce. However... I loved how this location put it on the side. That way you can control how much is on per bite. Again, like with the hot dog, the tomato was ripe. I was not a fan of the thick slices of onions. It was a little different and made it hard to eat. The meat had a nice crisp and a more pronounced flavor. Similar to the Chicago Dogs, a Gyro is the food I must eat weekly and this is one is one the top. I dont live in the area. I never heard of this place and it looks like they have other locations... but I would give them both A+s' for the Chicago Hot Dog, and the Gyro Sandwich. Luckily, I plan on moving in this area soon because I know this will be one of my most popular spots. read more

Tried Patelli's via DoorDash after seeing all of the rave reviews about the crispy beef roll on all the local Naperville Facebook pages. So of course I tried the crispy Philly roll. We also go loaded fries and a pizza puff. The pizza puff was perfect - took me right back to my deep fried memories of drunken college eats. Is it healthy? No. Is it sophisticated? No. Is it super tasty? Hell. Yes. The crispy Philly roll was ah-mazing, but for sure the texture suffered on the ride over. The loaded fries, oh man. Fresh, crispy, seriously HOT fries in an enormous styrofoam box absolutely covered with cheese, bacon, and sour cream (no jalapeños for this gal, but I think they come on them normally). My fam got gyros and fries and they loved those too. It seems the menu changes frequently (those local Facebook pages are all chattering about popcorn chicken fries now!) so we'll definitely wait for a night we're craving some greasy, guilty food and try out more options soon! read more

Just tried coming here for the first time. Their hours are 11:00AM-8:00PM. But at 2:30 in the afternoon, they are closed. No sign on the door. From what I understand, this is common for them. If getting help is the problem, shorten your business hours, instead of saying you're open when you're not. read more
