This is one of our favorite kept secrets that we pop into at least 6 times a year!…read moreWe had Taren and she suggested today the pastrami burger and try their apple crab raisin coleslaw. I don't like coleslaw as a rule but this one is the best. Always clean, friendly and staff is always the best and locals are Welcoming!!

I genuinely question how this establishment continues to operate in its current condition. Beyond…read morethe visibly run-down and unsanitary environment, there appear to be serious concerns regarding its operations and responsible service practices. The establishment is known for significantly over-pouring alcoholic beverages. While some patrons may view this as a positive, excessive alcohol service is irresponsible and raises legitimate concerns about compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Even more concerning is the apparent willingness to serve individuals who are visibly intoxicated and then allow them to leave and operate motor vehicles. This presents a serious and potentially dangerous risk to the public. The overall condition of the establishment is dirty, poorly maintained, and unacceptable. More importantly, the apparent lack of responsible alcohol service raises concerns that should not be dismissed. It is extremely troubling that these issues appear to persist without meaningful intervention. I strongly believe the appropriate city authorities and law enforcement agencies should investigate this establishment and determine whether it is operating in compliance with all applicable health, safety, liquor, and public-safety regulations. The situation warrants serious attention before someone is seriously injured or killed.

South Bay Wild Fish House absolutely knocked it out of the park…read more I had the clam chowder followed by the lingcod fish and chips, and both were outstanding. The chowder was rich, flavorful, and loaded with clams without being overly heavy. The lingcod was fresh, perfectly cooked, and had that light, crisp batter you want on fish and chips -- not greasy, not buried in breading, just damn good fish. My wife had the fresh Dungeness crab fry bread with chimichurri sauce, and that may have stolen the show. The crab was incredibly fresh and sweet, the fry bread was fantastic, and the chimichurri added just enough brightness and flavor without overpowering the crab. What really stood out, though, was talking with the owner. He told us how much pride he takes in catching the seafood he serves, and you can absolutely taste that pride in the food. He was also genuinely great to talk with -- friendly, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about what he does. There's something special about eating seafood at a place where the person serving it actually knows where it came from and has a hand in bringing it to the table. That kind of connection and pride is getting harder to find. Great food, fresh seafood, and great people. South Bay Wild Fish House is absolutely worth the stop, and we'll definitely be back.

We stopped in on a busy Saturday for lunch. There was a bit of a wait and service was a bit slow,…read morebut they were super friendly. This place is popular, so just be ready for that! The decor is eclectic, but really cute - there's plenty of seating, they even have an upstairs. We started with the chowder, which was more soupy than I was expecting, like not thick at all. However, it had really good flavor and was packed full of potatoes and clams. I probably wouldn't get it again though because I prefer a thick chowder. My mom got the fish tacos and really enjoyed them. I eat a lot of fish tacos and I think I prefer mine fried, but these were heaping full and a big portion. The rest of us got the rockfish and chips. The fish was tender, fresh, and delicious. I really liked the breading, it was crispy and thick, but it did fall apart super easily. These are definitely delicate. The fries were big and well seasoned. I also liked their tartar sauce a lot and they had every sauce imaginable on the table. The staff was friendly, the food was solid, and the portion sizes were big.
