From the first day I visited this office I've felt as though I've been cared for and treated like family, and EVERYONE in the office was so professional. Dr. Kravitz has truly taken great care of me for more than 15 years now. Because of the unfortunate situation I was left in as a child, (accidentally being pushed into a rock wall), I was in need of reconstructing a portion of my jaw in order to be able to have a dental implant placed. I was given multiple treatment options for me to choose from, but since a dental implant is the most permanent and cost effective over time, that was easily my choice. Dr. Kravitz and his wife Anita are my personal heroes for providing me with a great outcome and a renewed self esteem. Since those procedures more than 6 years ago, I myself have become a dental professional in oral surgery, and have always done my best to provide the same standard shown to me by Dr. Kravitz and his staff. FABULOUS! I have been seeing Dr. Kravitz since I was a teenager. This is his new location and I feel it's a fantastic establishment : ) Before I saw Dr. K, I had those ugly silver fillings in the back of my mouth, he fixed them and put in the natural looking fillings - thank heavens! My whole family goes to Dr. K. He has seen us through all our dental hygiene. I have always been very happy with my cleanings, teeth whitenings, and fillings. Hands down, best teeth cleaning! With yummy options for fluoride. I am also a teeth grinder and Dr. K's office has helped me battle this. I have a night guard and Dr. K evened out my uneven teeth in the front from grinding. Dr. K has also been great with emergencies. One time I had this incredible pain in my tooth, and they were able to see me right away. My dad has had more than one emergency and they have always seen him right away. I find that all of his procedures use cutting edge technology, and my appointments are always thorough. Excellent care and attention, clean and professional office and staff. I came from out of state to have my dad make me a crown and visited Dr. Kravitz's office for the impressions to be taken. I needed another procedure done before I could take care of the crown, but Dr. Kravitz removed my temporary filling in my root canal and replaced it with light-cured material to ensure it held up for another couple of months before I could get back to MA. This guy milks your insurance, and YOU, for all the money he can get! The guy who works on the dentures, is terrible. The dentist insisted on relining my top denture, the guy made it come out off center. When I complained , the dentist insisted it looked fine. Then he charged, like, $600.00. When I went back to my old dentist, he said I was over charged for everything. They also keep calling you to make more appointments for stuff. DON'T go here! read more

I went to this office to have my teeth whitened. I was not a patient and didn't want to be one, I just wanted my teeth whitened as they were listed on the zoom whitening website. I sat there for 2 hours whey they supposedly whitened my teeth. There was very little difference, if any. That was not their fault but what was their fault is my teeth were less than white because of antibiotics I took as a child and I later learned the Zoom treatment doesn't work for that. They should have known that as discoloration from medication is more gray than yellow. Also, they wouldn't let me leave! He insisted he take x-rays even though it wasn't required for the zoom treatment. Not only did he take x-rays, he took an ENTIRE set of x-rays that insurance companies only covers every 5 years. Had I known, I would have said absolutely not as I wasn't intending to be a long-term patient of his. read more

Such a great dentist office! It is the cleanest and cutest office I have ever been to. Plenty of seating while you wait. Everyone who works there is so sweet and nice! Anita is so nice and pleasent. I cannot honestly recommend him as a practitioner, as there were more than a few times that I felt that he was trying to sell me additional services that I did not request. Also, my wife had a really bad experience with a crown that his substitutes handled very poorly. My family started going to Dr. Kravitz about 15 years ago. My two children were about 5 and 7 at the time. We are a family committed to good oral health and we never miss our 6 month appointments. Over the years we have had many services other than routine care. For example, I had my teeth whitened and had all my silver fillings changed over to white ones. Additionally, my children had their molars sealed and my son had a chipped tooth repaired. The list could go on, of course. We have always had positive experiences. The care was always professional. That goes without saying. The office is clean and well run. Outstanding on all counts. However, I am writing this review because recently my family has had some significant challenges. Due to those issues, I was forced to change my dental insurance. Sadly, the new insurance was not accepted at the office. It appeared as though I had to find a new dentist for all of us. When I went to the office, Anita, the receptionist and wife of Kravitz, was so sympathetic and caring and she said she would help me in any way if I wanted to stay with the practice. Of course, I wanted to stay. My children are now college age and have never gone anywhere else. They are comfortable there and they have very healthy teeth. Anita and Dr. Kravitz worked with me on the insurance issue so that we could remain in the practice. They both were wonderful and caring throughout all the ups and downs. I always have a great experience at Dr. Kravitz. I started coming to him a couple years ago after a lapse of not having dental insurance. I got the BEST most thorough cleaning ever. I always have phenomenal cleanings and end up requesting the person who cleaned my teeth for next time. Even if I don't get that person I get someone else who is great. Last time I went I even got a cleaning and a free pep talk. I wish I could remember the names of all the people who have cleaned my teeth there but I've had 3 or 4 different people who all did a phenomenal job. I've gotten great tips about how I can do a better job working with the orthodontal fixture behind my teeth as well. This place is clean, professional and amazing and I am pretty astonished that they don't have a solid 4 or 5 star rating. read more

I was a patient here for about a year until I decided I no longer felt comfortable going. I started going here because Dr. Kravitz is listed as a sedation dentist and I have severe anxiety when it comes to dentist visits. His approach was to give me the sedation meds with little to no information and to actually make fun of me when I was in the office. Sorry, not your friend, that will not put me at ease. I went for an initial visit, 2 cleanings and later had to get my wisdom teeth out. The hygeniest I had there was awesome and it was sad to give up going to her but the experience with my wisdom teeth was enough to walk away. I wasn't warned that I couldn't eat anything substantial before the "laughing gas" and had to find that out on google (after asking the Dr and the staff several times if there was anything I should know). I also got no talk about what to expect despite my obvious nervousness and repeated questioning. The day of the visit, I was to take 1 sedation med before. I was still very nervous when I got there, so they crushed up an additional pill and put it under my tongue. By that point, I was pretty out of it. Next they started the laughing gas. Only after I was so sedated that I could barely sit in the chair did he have me sign the surgery consent form. This is not even remotely professional nor is it ethical. I was given limited instructions afterward and told that I should take a Vicodin when I got home so that I wouldn't be in huge pain when the novacaine wore off. I did as instructed and about an hour later, passed out in my hallway...likely from being overmedicated (double dose of sedatives, laughing gas & vicodin all in a couple hours). I also found out that unlike everyone else I've talked to, my stitches were not dissolvable. I was unable to open my jaw more than 3/4" for a week and was in serious pain because the stitches were too tight. I was in no pain the second they were removed...to me, that means he messed it up. On an earlier occasion, I had a filling done in a tooth that's visible when I smile. As is the usual case, he used a white filling so that it will not be silver when I smile...he told me afterward that he used a couple shades whiter than my teeth "in case you ever decide to whiten them". My teeth are by no means yellow, they're the average off-white that good hygeine results in without whitening products. I don't intend to whiten my teeth because they're extremely sensitive so now I'm stuck with a filling that does not match the color of my tooth. Way to go, Dr. Kravitz. Overall, I did not get the impression that the Dr and staff (with the exception of the hygeniest) really thought things through and completely knew what they were talking about. When I asked questions that the receptionist couldn't answer, she should have gotten the answer and gotten back to me but instead she would guess and seem reluctant when I asked her to check to make sure. Given that I am partially sedated when I go to the dentist, I need someone I can trust and they definitely were not people I felt I could trust. On a more business-related note, I received a bill from them at the end of the year stating that I owed even though I paid my copays in full at the time of the visits. When I called, they told me that when they run their year end balances, it automatically sends a bill if the insurance hasn't come through yet even though it's pending with the insurance and not due from me. I can't imagine how many people just paid their bills for amounts they didn't owe and if the explanation they gave me is even true. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! I went to see Dr. Kravitz a few years ago to have a wisdom tooth pulled. It was the worst experience of my life! 1st he tried to tell me that it was not my wisdom tooth that was the problem, and wanted to pull a tooth several teeth up from my wisdom tooth! We argued for 45 minutes about it until I stated I was leaving then he finally agreed to pull the wisdom tooth. The tooth that was the problem was by bottom left wisdom tooth, so I was told "When you pull a bottom tooth you must pull the top tooth also" not sure if that is true or not, but at that point I was in so much pain I would have let him pulling all my teeth out just to stop the pain. So he proceeded to pull the top one out with 2 shots of Novocaine and no pain at all. Then comes the bottom tooth, 2 shots of Novocaine and all kinds of pain. I tried to explain to him that it really really hurts, he tells me that's not possible. Now I am getting really Mad! We argue again so he finally agrees to 2 more shots of Novocaine, again still hurts like hell. He tells me again, that I am crazy and it is in my head. Then proceeds to start to pull the tooth out, but is having a problem getting it out. He then puts his foot on my chair to get leverage, are you kidding me. The nurse he had in the room was just filing in for his nurse that was on vacation, and she actually had tears in her eyes because she felt so bad for me. Anyways, the tooth finally comes out and he actually says "Oh I found why you were having pain, look at the size of the abscess on that tooth. Hello aren't you a dentist, shouldn't you know that could be the problem, and the dead give away should have been the Novocaine not working (I was told by an other dentist that Novocaine doesn't work on abscess teeth). Then he puts in the stitches and guess what they don't dissolve, I have to go back in ten days to have them removed. I was in pain the whole ten days, then horrible pain when he took the stitches out also. Then I had to Indore harassing phone calls for the next 3 month on my home phone, my cell phone, and the worse of all my work phone. They called none stop trying to get me to come back to have a cleaning and maintenance (as they call it), it even got to the point were he showed up at my working asking me when I was going to come back for a cleaning, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I would never recommend this jerk to anyone, in fact I would tell everyone never ever go to see him, even if no one else is open, i would rather suffer in pain for a few more days then ever to see him again!!! read more

I love this place. I've been going for about over two years now and the place makes going to the dentist actually quite pleasant. The receptionist is so sweet and professional, the hygienist is so nice, the staff is very friendly, and Dr. Kravitz is so nice (and good looking may I add) that you forget you are getting your teeth done. I have going to Dr. Kravitz for many years and had nothing but very positive experiences. He is extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. His office is beautifully kept, clean and bright. He staff is excellent and friendly! My children started seeing his hygenist Lisa a few years ago, she is so warm and friendly. My girls (age 8 and 5) actually look forward to visiting 2x a year!! I recommend Dr. Kravitz with no hesitation, I'm acually quite shocked that anyone would give his office anything but a 5 star - he has the highest standards and ethics. I couldn't agree more with the above reviews! If I hadn't read all the other reviews I would never have guess that this guy has been in the business for as long as he has. What a joke! The administrative staff is the most unprofessional staff I have ever had to deal with. The receptionist sounds more like a fortune teller on the phone. Also, agree with the hygenist, very thorough, very nice. Going to miss you. They just recently told me my daughter had two cavities. I took her elsewhere and she didn't have any. I already had enough things go wrong with these guys to be suspicious. This prompted me to get a second opinion. I did and am glad I did. Then, today I decided to look for another dentist on YELP. Could NOT believe when I saw the reviews. Now I know I was right by leaving these people. Oh, I also received a bill for a different patient in the mail! Very large bill too. I called and they not only told me to throw it away, but the receptionist told me she already paid it. What do I care if the patient paid the bill or not!!!!! Can you say HIPPA violation???? read more
