I chose a station in the back and found myself a bit lost at times, but I just kept moving! The workout is split into two parts: halfway through, you switch between bag and bench. Spinning/cycling has been my go to for many years, but it was time to try something new or rather incorporate something different along with cycling. Rumble is the perfect addition! I feel like the setting/environment is similar to a cycling studio with the dark room, black lights, loud music, and just awesome non stop energy all around. So it just want I need to keep myself moving/motivated. I was a little intimidated at first but the instructors are super friendly and encouraging. The room is split between the bag side and the floor side (with weights). You can start the workout on either side (up to you) and we rotate during the class. So far I'm really enjoying Shannon's class and Louis's class! Can't wait to try the other instructors. They have early morning classes and evening classes to accommodate almost everyone's schedule. They provide towels and even a cool towel at the end of class. I've really enjoyed the workouts overall and look forward to class and the feeling of accomplishment afterwards! The ceremony included reading each of their names out loud and placing a rose on the plaque that matched the war they died in. WWII had the most roses and deaths. They had one of the fire trucks lift up a huge American flag next to the regular sized flags of the branches of our military which surround a pilar with a live flame. There was also a live band, singers, and flybys by planes in formation. It was a very solemn and respectful ceremony to honor those who died on duty. After the ceremony, I stayed at the park for a bit longer laying a towel on the grass under a tree. I don't know if it was just the spot I picked, but even though it was really grassy, underneath it was really muddy, like when I finally got up my towel was soaked through and so was my back. Then I got lost trying to find where I parked because the park is bigger than it looks and has 3 parking lots. I thought there was only 1, so I didn't pay that much attention when I walked towards the ceremony. When I tried getting back to my car I honestly thought it might have been towed. Now I know there's a parking lot by the building that leads to the swimming pool, another next to the swimming pool itself so you can actually see the water, and the last one is next to the tennis courts and baseball field. This doesn't include the parking spots all around the perimeter of the park. The park is clean, has plenty of playgrounds for children, tables and benches to eat at, and a public restroom. It's not the quietest of parks, though, since there are so many children and it's next to a busy intersection, like during the ceremony a trash truck and a random car honked their horns in support of the ceremony. Otherwise, it really is a nice park with plenty of amenities.

The locker rooms are kept up really well and the pool's temperature is kept at just the right level of cold and the chlorine level doesn't feel drastic as some places. The staff are great and helpful. The day rate depends on if you live in Burbank or not ($6-8) for lap swim and keep their schedule updated on their website. Bring your own swim gear as they are not provided by the aquatic center! Depending on time of day and when you go, the lap swim can be metered or by yards, as the layout of the pool can change (with kids swim, open swim, aerobics) nearby. Theres also a nice outdoor area for family events or kids birthday parties. Theres street side parking and they have a good size parking lot but it's pretty busy on weekends; people leave frequently and usually are waiting for your parking spot when you head out! A local who has been coming here for years encouraged me to try Mccambridge Recreation Pool (which I have yet to)!

I needed to find a place to train since I was out of town. Thanks to my good friend Darrin who introduce me to Professor Brent Burniston and the other coaches. This academy felt like a home away from home. If I was living in LA this would be my new home to train at. Thank you Brent and to the rest of the coaches and team members for having me.
