4+ farmers market in Burbank that opens on Saturdays. The footprint feels a little smaller than other farmers markets. I've been to in the greater LA area. It's located on a parking lot near what I think is the downtown Burbank area. Despite the small footprint, it still has what you need with some produce vendors and other vendors of various goods. Including prepared foods. Also, to be fair, it was crazy windy that day and it was only my first time coming. So it's possible that there's more vendors usually. The wind actually ruined some vendor's tent that particular day so it could've caused a few others to close down early. A couple of friends in mind stopped by to grab a few things for a little bit together later that day. Luckily, it was a quick in and out and we found some really good parking. read more

Stop here for the first time to check it out. Nice little market with a very popular fruit farm stand. Get selection of veggies for the home cook, standard stand with meat and seafood as well. Not too many stands for eats like most farmers market. So if you are looking to get some snacks or a meal. It's a no go. I knew it was going to be a busy Saturday, especially a week before Easter, especially the egg stand. I thought by coming early before 8 will be easier, but I guess all the people in the line thought the same. lol. This spot for eggs is one of the best, she has great tasting, white, brown, large, jumbo, two yolks, omega, whatever your preference is eggs. Actually, the line is worth waiting for, as long as she brings enough eggs lol. Lady is super nice and she usually has her kids helping her , which makes things go faster. People politely wait for their turn. Casual, calm and usually peaceful pace, worth the Saturday morning walk. Smaller farmers market Saturdays from 8am-12pm. Street parking and a small designated lot behind the market. There's a few produce vendors, maybe 4 or 5, all have the same stuff but I will say everything is pretty expensive. We dropped $13 on 4 cara cara oranges and 1 grapefruit, so that gives a you a good idea of pricing. Some great honorable mention vendors: Delicious PICKLED vendor, we grabbed some chili flake pickled hot garlic, pickled red onions and some spicy pickles. She offers samples of all, and the best part is she offers $.75 credit per empty recycled jar returned Flora De Lima- amazing pressed juices! The spicy peanuts/fruits vendor literally fed us full of samples before we purchased 5 for $35 and we got one free The egg lady was definetly the egg plug! A flat of fresh eggs for $6.50 There was 1 plant vendor and 2 flower vendors. We grabbed a beautiful Chinese lantern plant for $25 Wasn't the place to buy the produce like I originally wanted being prices were a little outrageous. Nice Farmers Market, on the small side, not as many vendors as others I have shopped at. But it's not as crazy or hectic either. Where was I that somehow I am late for the party and found out about Burbank having a Farmers Market till recently? I walked to it from downtown Burbank since it's near the Courthouse, there are parking lots around and you can also find spots on the street. Not a loot of cooked food here, but I found a couple of nice bakery stalls. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and beautiful flowers. Prices are a tad high. My husband and I recently moved to Burbank (from Sherman Oaks), and we previously frequented the farmers market in Studio City. We are big fans of leisurely weekend trips to a farmers market where we can sip a little hot coffee or tea as we peruse the various vendor stands. We were so glad to see that our favorite vendors (with ready made foods) from the other farmers market ,which occurs on Sundays, were all at BFM. We loaded up on our usual items, and tried a few new to us things as well. We do wish there was a vendor there with coffee or tea, but this is so close to downtown Burbank, where we popped in a local coffee shop and got our hot drinks to hold us over on our farmers market shopping trip. Love this place but the back bakery ...frog something...she was so rude. I waited for my turn then after waiting for my turn then it's my turn to order. She told me that there is a line and told me to go wait there instead. She could have told me that from the beginning since she saw me wait there. So she made a scene in front of everyone about how I cut everyone and the people in line was telling me to go ahead but I was just over it by this point and left. Obviously if I knew there was a line then I would have waited there. Karen's like her need to sit down. Other than this sour booth bakery, there is a booth with just eggs towards the back where there is plants for sell. The best eggs I ever had and felt. It feels so different and you just can't go back to the market eggs. There is even a booth with olive oil when you enter this place and it is fantastic. everyone else here is nice. Burbank Famers Market is one of the oldest Farmers Markets in Southern California (started in 1983). [Hours]: Every Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM. [Parking]: There's a small designated parking lot right next to the market, but the lot was packed. I did find a street parking spot two blocks away from the market. [Amenities]: No public restrooms at the market​. Since it is a certified farmers' market (certified means all produce is grown in the State of California), there's no pet rule inside the market. [Vendors]: There are about 30+ vendors with 75% farmers and 25% non-agriculture section. Pretty solid selection and I did notice an agricultural vendor selling Asian vegetables, but prices weren't exactly cheap. I didn't see any boutique vendors here. A solid and small farmers market with 100% focus on fruit/vegetables/processed food. Great for local residents, but this is not one of those farmers markets that's worth driving out of the way. 3.5-star with the benefit of the doubt. read more

I love coming to this small market on Saturdays. It's only a couple of blocks from my home. The stroll there and familiar stalls always relaxes me and makes me feel like it is indeed the weekend. I don't mind paying a little bit extra for organic produce. I know I can go to Sprouts and get it cheaper, but I feel it's super important to support small local businesses. These people come every week to sell their goods that they pick or make themselves and at this point in my life, I can pay a little extra to support my community. Highlights: The egg place always has a line and I always see people walking with flats of eggs. The berry shop has very sweet blueberries. I actually haven't found a better blueberry at any grocery store. I always stop at the produce stand that sells Asian produce. This week, they had 5 different type of eggplants. I also buy a kouign amann from the bakery stall. Sometimes it doesn't even make it home! Also, get your knives sharpened while you shop. It is so worth it. Do it for your knives. The stall is parked on Olive Ave and takes only cash. Yes, it's small and yes, you can find cheaper produce, but please, please, please, support local business if you can. The Burbank Farmers Market is open every Saturday from . It's located in downtown Burbank, just across the Courthouse. Free parking is available at the city hall and nearby streets along Glenoaks Blvd. It's a small market, yet there's a wide variety of choices. There's a nursery at the corner where you can buy ornamental plants and fruit trees. Fresh flowers are available for cheap. A bread stand can also be found as well as a stall selling Korean stuff. There's several fruits and vegetables stands to choose from. Every time I dropped by here, I always see a line to the egg vendor. As opposed to other flea markets where you can grab a bite, there's none here. So don't come hungry because there's no hot, cooked food available here. Not even a place to get a cup of coffee. I regularly invite friends to come with me. *If you've never had a farmers market blueberry, you are missing out! Ironically, I didn't come to this market until I moved away from Burbank, after having lived so close for over a decade. We visited this Farmer's Market on Saturday since we wanted to have brunch at Another Broken Egg (right across the street). Despite it being crowded, parking really isn't an issue because there is a small lot right next to the market. It gets a little crowded and backed up when people are stopped in the lane, waiting for someone else to leave, though I've never seen it so full you wouldn't be able to find a spot. There's so many fruit and vegetable vendors here, I honestly had a hard time choosing just one to buy from. Most of them boasted plums and berries. One of the stands had the biggest, fattest blackberries I've ever seen. We purchased a small basket of strawberries and blackberries from them for $6. The strawberries were super sweet and flavorful, nothing like the crappy strawberries most grocery stores sell. We also bought fresh plums and grapes from another stall. The plums tasted like they came right off a tree (used to steal plums from trees back in middle school and these were exactly like those). Full of plum flavor and sweet, with a tart skin. The grapes were crispy, actually crispy, and also much sweeter than grocery store fare. The last thing we purchased were chanterelle mushrooms. They were big and fresh, only one of the mushrooms was a bit wilted around the edges, and absolutely delicious after they were sauteed. We wound up using them to make chicken, bacon, and mushroom pizza at home. Though... at $69/pound, I might just wait until Costco starts selling them again, roughly a pound for $12, same quality of mushrooms. read more

The longest line at the Burbank Farmers Market is usually the one for fresh eggs. One day, I decided to join that line. What a difference fresh organic eggs make. I wasn't sure I'd really be able to taste the difference, but I can. I'm a believer. I love 'em, and buy them regularly. I like how it is easy to get in and out. The intimacy means the farmers recognize you, and you them. I buy lots of fruit, vegetables and flowers there. The Hollywood Farmers Market is great if you have the time and patience -- I often get aggravated by the lack of parking, but usually there's not enough hours in the day. And I can only eat and carry so much -- I've learned the hard way when I find spoiled produce in the back of the refrigerator. For a brief period last summer, Carmela's had a truck and I loved it. They always had innovative flavors as well as staples. I hope they come back. read more

Most of us can recall the days of youth when Saturday mornings were about cartoons, cereal, and laziness. As adults, Saturday mornings have evolved to be about farmers markets and errands. One might long for those child's play days but I actually choose a farmers market. Nothing better than browsing fresh produce stands and unique, gourmet offerings. Los Angeles is the home to many farmers markets in each respective community and Burbank is no exception. Let's find out of this market merits a visit... Held on every Saturday morning from 8am-12:30 (rain or shine); the Burbank Farmers Market is located on the corner of Olive/Glenoaks in the parking lot of the Burbank Administrative and Workforce Connection building. Parking is available adjacent to the lot (but is generally full) but there is ample street parking available and the lot at the firehouse is also up for grabs. Both parking and the farmers market are free of any charge/admission. Now, don't be expecting a grandiose farmers market as the Burbank offering is rather small in comparison to some of the others in the city. This market is literally just a small square of vendors and not a market with huge quantity of sellers or bells and whistles like pony rides and inflatable rides for children. That being said, the Burbank Farmers Market still attempts to offer some varied goods. The produce booths are all generally the same: seasonal fruits and veggies and the prices are also even-keel at each booth so there isn't really one that is better than the other. However, there are also some unique products like salsas, cheese, Asian pickled foods, eggs, pressed juices, a mushroom varietal booth, and even a florist. Thus, you CAN find some surprise goodies even at this rather small market. The great thing about the Burbank Farmers Market is that the negative of the larger markets being overly-crowded and being filled with children isn't an issue here. There is ample walking space, not really any children, and is pretty much an in-and-out deal. On the other hand though, ALL of booths here catcall to those walking buy and it sounds like an auction and makes one feel pressured to visit booths. It's a little bit intimidating and takes away from some of the pleasure of the market. For those with EBT; the Burbank Farmers Market is EBT-friendly. Just visit the welcome booth where you tell them how much you would like to put on your card (you have to do this first before you purchase goods), they swipe your card, and exchange it for market money. They also give you a bonus dollar for your first time. The great thing is you can go back for more and it doesn't expire so you can keep leftovers for your next visit. Don't worry about having to arrive too early. Even at 11am, all booths were still stocked and good to go. Overall, the Burbank Farmers Market is rather solid and good for those located in the Burbank vicinity but not necessarily one to go out of your way for. It also doesn't compare to some of the other markets (such as the AMAZING Studio City Farmers Market) but again: it isn't bad. It is clean, offers a suitable variety of booths, and maneuverability is ideal. So if in the area and taking a break from Saturday morning cartoons (I'm not judging you!); then head to the Burbank Farmers Market. read more

This farmers market is one I plan to keep going to. There are many different vendors and there is a large variety of fresh veggies and fruits. Not a lot of prepared foods, but that's not what I go to farmers markets for anyway. It would always be nice if there were more stands, but there were enough to get what I needed. The parking is so easy and that is one thing that I appreciate. I parked across the street at the police and fire station where it is public parking on the weekends and after certain hours on weekdays. So easy! read more

You'll get fresh eggs here, organic and grass fed of course. This is by far the biggest attraction here. Reasonable prices but the line can be a pain. B Fresh fish so fresh you can smell it yards away, truck dripping with ice leftovers. It's prices are at a premium so you're paying for quality here. A- Tamale stand gets a lot of attention and you'll get a 13 year old kid to ring you up. I think I had the corn and the pork tamales which weren't too dry. I've got a yen for farmers markets. If I know I'm going to be near one, I've got to drop by and check it out. Burbank Farmers Market draws a decent amount of business with a couple handfuls of vendors. True to form, most of the stands are selling produce - and usually they're all selling the same stuff with one or two exceptions. However, you've got your trusted vendors popping up for things like honey, bread, prepared food, mediterranean eats like hummus and pita, and fresh flowers and plants. You also get the occasional specialty like a gluten-free vendor or excellent-looking mushroom vendor (where they also sell truffles). Convenient parking is located in the parking lot at the corner of Olive & Glenoaks, and then you just walk around the gates into the market. One special note: People flock to this market for eggs. You heard me. Eggs. There is an all-natural eggs vendor there where people line up like crazy because the price is right and the eggs can probably last you well over a month in the fridge. Most people who come for the eggs leave with what looks like four dozen. If you like eggs, I suggest you check them out because people love them. Never seen a line like it. read more

I have been to many, many farmers markets in LA County, and the Burbank FM is the best one in the East Valley. There aren't any pony rides or crafts for sale. This is a serious farmers market for people who want to get in, get some great produce, and get out in a reasonable amount of time. It's Saturday, and we all have stuff to do, right? There is plenty of free parking at the police/fire station on Orange Grove, so I don't even mess with the more crowded lot just north of the market. And there are many vendors that sell prepared food: cheese, pasta, olive oil, tamales, bread, pastries, salsa, hummus, seitan, juice, etc. There are vendors that sell plants and flowers too. But what I have appreciated most over the years is the BFM management's dedication to attracting and retaining a wide variety of quality produce vendors. And I really have to applaud them also for their commitment to keeping the market operating in a manner that is safe for everyone in the midst of a pandemic. It is much appreciated. read more

I'm so glad I finally had a Saturday off and I could come to the Farmers market here. I was also glad I did a bit of research so I knew to go straight to the line for eggs. The line moved a bit slow but it was worth the wait! She has many sized eggs to choose from. We got the flat of jumbo brown eggs for $4.00. That's 20 big beautiful farm eggs for the same price as 12 in the grocery store! After we had our eggs we explored the other vendors. Lots of fruit and veggie farms to pick from. We got a few baskets of delicious berries. The hummus is also another must! At least now that we know the lay of the land there I can send the hubby while I'm at work;) All in all this is a great market and we are so happy to support our local farms! read more

By opening the line for one of the egg vendors was already a dozen long. We took a quick lap and got some great things. I'd estimate a little more than half the vendors are produce and the remainder are prepared foods, including Mediterranean dips, cheese, tamales, bread, and pickles. We plan to come back. read more

I like the idea of this market, but it really didn't follow through. the prices are a bit high for farmers market, and I feel like I might as well just to go Trader Joes. Also, some lady came and yelled at me for having my dogs with me. I've been to other farmers markets with my dogs and have never had this issue before. You know at some markets there are a ton of booths that you have to sift through before you find the 10 - 20 vendors that you actually buy from. Okay, imagine that the city of Burbank already hand picked those top 20 vendors for you and put them in one location: the Burbank Farmer's Market. Great selection of Organic and pesticide free fruits and vegetables, great size (again you won't need hours to search out the "good" booths) and best of all, the location is fantastic. You're also right next to the shopping district and restaurant row on San Fernando Blvd in Burbank. So when you're done you can walk on over and grab a bite to eat or some yogurt or whatever.... Every neighborhood needs a good farmer's market, and the more people that support them, the better they will be. That said, Burbank's f.m. has some room for growth. The selection is a little lacking. For instance, the last two weeks I couldn't find kale -- although that may be because I never get there earlier than 11 a.m. and most Burbankites seem to be early risers. I'm also bummed out that the cheese vendor has disappeared. Please come back, cheese dude, I miss your awesome cheddar! My biggest gripe is that there's only one vendor selling eggs, and she's slow and grumpy. Because she has a monopoly, there's always a long line at her booth and she takes her sweet time. So nice to have a local, honest Farmers Market here in Burbank. My husband loves this Farmers Market so much that he goes every week, and I have friends who plan their weekly meal schedules around what this Farmer's Market sells week-by-week. Though this isn't the largest Farmer's Market in town (ie Santa Monica's Wednesday showcase), it is nonetheless stocked with necessities. Located in downtown Burbank at Third Street at Orange Grove and with plenty of parking from all sides of it's location, this farmers market is not pretentious like other locations. Love the stands for Bonjour Yogurt (thick, luscious, naturally-sweetened French-style yogurt--the best in LA), Mom's Products (amazing labneh, hummus, feta, and dips), and Salsa Poblanas (the freshest ceviche, guac, and amazingly delicious crab salads). Lots of other amazing stands, of course, but these are my must-haves. I'm in Echo Park, but this market is my spirit animal, and it's worth it for me to make the easy 15-minute trip here. I am a big fan of this place. True, it's a mere 6 blocks away and I'm too lazy to drive to Hollywood on Sundays for their farmer's market, so I could be biased. But still, even if it wasn't so convenient for me and I had to walk, say, 10 blocks, I'd still hit it up often - or at least, whenever I have the inclination to venture outside. I could give specific vendor information, but I'll just say that whatever you're looking for, you'll find (assuming it's in season), usually for a good price. Fruits and vegetables of all kinds, obviously. I don't eat eggs, but there is a very popular egg vendor. There's also someone who sells hormone-free meat, but I'm also not qualified to comment there either. Two vendors sell beautiful floral arrangements for your standard prices. My favorite is the guy selling hummus, pita, and olives. Right next door is the lady who sells a mind-boggling assortment of nuts, raisins, and trail mix. I love the toffee peanuts - they remind me of childhood. I'm close enough to walk, but parking is a breeze in the free garage or on the street. You're also in downtown Burbank with plenty of places to stop in for lunch. That is, if you don't want to get right home and dig in to your fresh, locally grown goodies. read more
