I have been to this specific Studio City Farmers Market 3 times in the past. If and when I am awake early, and want to go check out this wonderful, clean Farmers Market then I will do so. This past Sunday which I believe was the 29th of March, I went to check out and see what they had that was new. I got there around 11AM and the place was already super crowded. Keep in mind that they are only open on Sundays between the hours of 8AM to 1:30/2pm. Depending on the foot traffic. They have a lot of vendors that sell a good amount of everything. To name a few: They sell good and fresh fruits/vegetables, nuts, spices, candles, jewelry (mostly custom made), dried fruit, spreads, flowers of many kinds, pastries/breads of different kinds, hot and cold food/beverages, berries of every kind, all the way to a small play area where kids can ride a small train, jump in the bouncers, and have a carousel of cute pony rides. Just by looking at the smiles and the excitement on their faces, makes me want to get up on one of the pony's myself, and the man looked at me funny. They also do face painting and prices are not that cheap. Depending on what you get. Established in 1998. It really is a fun place to be on a Sunday morning/early afternoon. All vendors are super nice, friendly and they let you sample few things before buying it. I bought Sunflowers, some spices, berries, olive bread loaf, and couple of cookies. Also got 2 hummus spreads. Parking can be a bit challenging, I parked on the street. Whatever doesn't sell, vendors donate to the charities. Great deed. Don't waste FOOD!! read more

Folks come early to this market to get the first choice of the days offerings. Lots of produce, food readily available for consumption as well as bakery items. A few craft vendors were present although this is primarily a fruit and veggie paradise. Oh m, let me not forget to mention the beautiful fall flowers, just love the giant marigolds! Vendors are happy to talk about their produce and I also saw numerous samples available for those with curious taste buds. The farmers market has to be the best in the SFV in terms of size and amount of vendors. You have the hummus bar, the bread person, the produce people and the artisanal cheese stand. You can also find florals, small jewelers and a few other sorts of businesses. Everyone is somewhat friendly. Some vendors are more approachable than others and you can tell right away who is there because they want people there, not because they need to be there. Wish we had a little more variety. Maybe I have been spoiled but I find the farmers market vendors offer repetitive products. I'd love to see something that's stand out though. Parking is HORRIBLE. I luckily live not too far from here and am able to walk. Come early to avoid the parking drama. read more

I feel like this is THE Farmers Market in the SFV. There are so many wonderful sellers at this market and lots and lots of hot food options. All of the produce and flowers are great quality and I love that most of the sellers take apple pay/venmo etc. This is a super popular market so expect it to be busy. Arrive early if you can! This market almost feels more like a "scene", meaning you might see people dressed to impress just to get their groceries or even a random celebrity or two. Parking can be challenging so expect to park and walk a distance. I love how family friendly this Farmers Market is! Lots of people with kiddos. The amount of strollers and wagons in addition to the heavy flow of foot traffic can make it feel a little claustrophobic though. I went recently and my son was excited to ride the train but on this particular day there were only bounce houses which caused a bit of disappointment. TLDR: Great quality items, selection of hot foods and a "hip" vibe. Things are PRICEY here so expect to drop a pretty penny. read more

Wow this Farmer's Market has so many sellers! Lots of generous samples as well. Really busy so do expect it to be a little hectic. I parked across the street at the Vons parking lot and walked over. You can easily spend an hour here due to all the different vendors! There's also food trucks and bounce houses for the kids. read more

Great place to buy seasonal flowers, fruits, olive oil, cheese, vegetables, and baked goods and enjoy an eatery at the market or walking distance! As a gardener, I also get my winter and summer cover crops from the stand that sells dried beans. Although the cost is a bit higher than the super market, the quality is incomparable. Parking in back of the vons parking lot or cvs lot usually works but with the years it has been getting more crowded - especially as new food vendors pop up. I recommend coming early and parking closer to ventura blvd. to be able to more easily head out. read more

Sadly i was disappointed with Sharper Edge knife sharpening there at the Farmers Market. I brought him two good quality Kershaw pocket knives to sharpen. He left them in worse shape than when I brought them. To now have uneven edges and one of them has a divot towards the bottom of it. My brother's knife also has a ding in it that wasn't there before. It was a brand new knife so it was undamaged. The only thing good was the price. I guess you get what you pay for. I will never let him touch one of my knives again read more

First of all, the location is great. People have business here or around Laurel Cyn and Ventura already anyway. This particular stretch, though semi-hidden, is stl in the midst of two major intersections. The vendor selection is great . There's meat and seafood too, which are normally lacking in Farmer's Markets, but not here. They have kitchen staples and non-essentials. Awesome vibe. read more

The Studio City Farmers Market is my favorite in all of Los Angeles. The market is large and well spaced out with so many options for produce and prepared foods. My favorite is the breakfast burrito stand, which I've been frequenting for years. My friends raved about the empanada stand as well. Parking can be tricky but there's the CBS lot as well as options in the neighborhood. The market is also a spot for celebrity sightings if that's something of interest to you! read more

This farmers market has the biggest selection of produce I have ever seen! It does get really busy due to its area so parking might be a little tricky but well worth it. Food vendors are there too but nothing crazy and quite overpriced. Huge Farmers Market! If you drive by it on Ventura Blvd you will see how crazy it is! They have it going every Saturday morning! Parking can be difficult, it gets a tad too crowded for me! They do have lots of vendors, farmers, nice food, fresh fruits and veggies to choose from! They also have lots of games, activities for kids! A bit much in my opinion! Great farmers market with good local selection of goods. I've bought everything from lavender to heirloom tomatoes to ready-made tamales here. I've definitely found a couple favorites in this farmers market: J&J farms: GREAT heirloom tomatoes. I've also purchased green beans from them, but mostly came to the stand for the gorgeous coloring on the tomatoes. You know they're legit because all of them are stores upside down to prevent ripening too fast / the bottom of the tomato going bad. Thanks to J&J, now I store my tomatoes upside down Homeboy Industries: SO happy to see them here! Pastries are extremely fairly priced (2/$5 is the deal if you get 2), and great selection of different breads and breakfast pastries. I love Homeboy industries and what they stand for, so happy they have a stand at this farmers market :) Arnett farms: Can't miss it - largest sampling and display of plums, pluots, pears, and peaches there are. Sampling boxes are always full and they are delicious. Descriptions are cute and sometimes you'll see a crossbreed of 4+ different fruits, which is really cool. They're always super busy because other people also agree with my review Honey Pacifica: always tempted to buy another jar even though I already have one at home. I will always splurge a bit on honey because I don't like the grocery store-bought kind that is notoriously cut with water and other non-honey ingredients. Studio City Farmers Market was voted as the most kid friendly farmers market By Los Angeles Magazine and I can certain attest to the statement. This market has three activities [Hours]: Sundays from 8 AM to 1 PM. [Parking]: Parking was not as bad as Hollywood Farmers' Market. I found few street parking spots via this secret street along the Los Angeles River (Valleyheart Dr.) [Amenities & vendors]: Why is this one of the best farmers' market for kids? First this market has a train ride through the market. Second there's a kids' play area with bounce slides. Lastly there's also a face painting booth for kids. This is not the biggest farmers market in LA county, but you can find your typical produce/baked goods/seafood vendors here and the outdoor food court had a solid selection. In addition, two notable brick and mortar shops on the same block are Alfred Coffee (known for Iced Vanilla Latte) and Joan's on Third (gourmet marketplace & café) - highly recommend to check both shops out. While this farmers market doesn't have too many "it" factors, this is a perfect place to bring your kids and not to mention Trader Joe's is literally just a block away from the market. read more

I've gone back and forth about what to write in a review for the Studio City Farmers Market. Let me say up front that the Farmers Market is very nice. There are a nice assortment of shops and vendors, and the Market also benefits from the actual location so there are several permanent businesses that seem to be pretty integrated into the Market itself. This is truly a Farmers Market, where the majority of vendors are selling fruits, vegetables, meats, etc... It's like an outdoor butcher/produce section of a grocery store. There are some more "flea market" type vendors, but they are in the minority. There's also a section at the end (near Radford and Ventura) that has some small carnival rides and inflatables for little kids. The seem pretty steep, but my 3 year old loves them so when we go she usually gets to pick one that she wants to go on. To me, the biggest detraction for the Farmers Market (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is what feels like an overall lack of cohesion. I know that a Farmers Market is prey to the vendors who would like to come, and that the vendors themselves probably get a "say" in where they are set up, but the Studio City Farmers Market doesn't really feel like one cohesive Farmers Market. It feels like three separate Farmers Markets that are all within walking distance of each other. (Very close walking distance mind you). There's also no real parking to speak of. I think that most people park in the VON's lot and walk over, or walk from their apartment/home (that's what we did, it's a bit of trek for us but it's worth it so we don't have to deal with parking and pedestrians). We have a good time when we go to the Farmers Market. Some of our favorites are the empanadas, the pickle vendor, and the kim-chi vendor. We occasionally will buy fruits/vegetables if there's something specific that we're looking to make. Good option for a lazy morning. read more

Parking can be a massive struggle so be prepared to walk in which would normally be fine for me but I came so close to the end of the day that I had to rush. This is one of the bigger farmer markets here without being too busy or overwhelming! Came on a rain Sunday so I wasn't sure how many vendors there would be. There was only one small parking lot behind the market but I believe you had to pay, but there's residential parking that is less than a 5 minute walk away so that was great! A lot of produce vendors, and overall a good variety of items for sale! Would've loved a couple more hot food options but I feel like there were some open vendor spaces, also it's on a busy street so there are also other places to grab a bite or coffee within walking distance. Studio city farmers market was really fun with a relatively broad assortment of fruits and vegetables. Parking was a bit tricky but I was able to snag a spot at the bank per people's suggestions. Would recommend trying to head out earlier to not just beat the heat but to reduce any additional stress re: fighting for spots. The food options are off to the side while the Main Street has a handful of options as well. While they had previously closed the children's activities because of covid they had since reopened the massive inflatable slide and carnival swing ride. Hopefully the little train ride will also open again soon. read more

I've been to a few different farmers markets in Los Angeles, and this one is my favorite so far. It's a pretty small farmers market, but it has a great selection of produce and some fun house plants and orchids. The produce is really the game changer. The flavor of the produce is really high-quality and much better than some of the other larger farmers markets I've been to. Highly recommend. The service of all the vendors was pretty good. It's Sunday morning. Get up, get out, and get to this market. Why? Because it's super nice, fun, cool, delicious, and will inspire you to eat something good for you. And there's plenty of treats too. And you'll probably run into nice people. The jerks who run into you with their strollers or carts, who yell across 3 stands "HONEY THE ORANGE OR THE GREEN ONES?" -- ignore them. Too much good stuff here to let it harsh your day. I have run the gamut from loading up 2 rolling carts with produce to feed a big family to scaling back to have enough fresh produce for the week to buy just a very little bit for only myself. But I still go. Sometimes I just get an iced coffee and walk around (though I rarely leave without something). Now here's why you really HAVE to go... Never take what you have for granted. And what California has is the best produce. And what Studio City has is an awesome farmers market. Not just ok. Not meh. Really great. There are bigger ones, weekday ones, seasonal ones, etc. But Studio City has an excellent array of all the produce that's in season and artisinal products, in a manageable size. The addition of parking patrol was great because they're super nice and help you find the first available spot to avoid the backlogs that used to spill out onto Laurel Canyon. I travel a fair amount and always check out the farmers markets wherever I go. Sometimes I can't buy much because it won't keep as I move around, but I like to see what's growing, local vendors, and usually something good for breakfast. And let me tell you this... "farmers market" can mean anything from a dizzying line-up of mouth-watering produce that is begging to be photographed and eaten to a roadside stand with a display of one local crop and refrigerated soda. Studio City Farmers Market has quickly become our favorite weekend activity. The vendors are friendly and offer great products. The earlier you go the better. I suggest getting there as close to 8 am as possible to avoid the heat and the crowds. Favorites: - Dave's Korean Food (my absolute favorite): Vegan Kimchee, Spicy Tempa, Glass Noodles, Seaweed Salad (all Dave's way of spelling his items :) ) - LA Funghi - We end up spending $60 on mushrooms every weekend because they're THAT good! One of us is severely immune-compromised and these mushrooms help immensely. - The Grove - our go-to Avocado spot. They'll assist with picking them out for us based on when we plan to eat them. It sure helps having one to eat the day of and the others to last the next few days. Dates by Davall - best dates around! We bought a decent amount last weekend and ate them all that same day lol. Needless to say, they're fresh and delicious. Forbidden Fruit Orchards - berries, berries, and berries! They usually have a 3-pack ready to go with some variation of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries. We always buy one 3-pack and throw in one single pack of whichever isn't included in that assortment. Buy all 4! Fisherman's Catch - Get the Mussels, Large Littleneck Clams, Scallops, Ceviche, and Halibut. The ceviche is fresh and reasonable for the amount you receive. (They pair very well with Chica's Tortilla Chips - Ralphs & Whole Foods carry them) Parking: I suggest parking in the large lot across the street. Street parking and bank parking are rarely available. Don't forget your Alfred's coffee on the way out! The only downside, which prevents me from giving it 5 stars... how they're handling COVID. As I mentioned above, one of us is severely immune-compromised and I would guess maybe 75-80% of the patrons are not wearing masks. Even if you're vaccinated, you can still contract the virus. Remember to think about your neighbors... We're in this together. Due to the lack of control with masks, we'll probably switch to doing this once a month instead of every Sunday. Enjoy! read more
