The lettering is small and the windows are tinted and you feel like you're about to enter a drab office, but when you open the door, you're treated to a feast for the senses. The space spans a mix of cafe, boutique gift shop, and bodega. Everything feels curated and little discoveries await you for those who are culinary minded. For example, I discovered that they sell frozen burritos from Las Palmas and frozen pizzas from Mozza?! Someone clearly knows their way across the culinary food map of Los Angeles. If you can pry your eyes long enough from wandering the corners of the store, you can finally place your order of breakfast, lunch or coffee/tea. I just took my cold cuts sandwich on house-made ciabatta to the proverbial mattress. The bread had enough structure to handle the piles of quality deli meats, yet was less dense than some other ciabatta breads I've tried. But, it did an admirable job packing in the flavors from the spicy peppers, cheese, meats. Wow. I'm just gonna say that this cold cuts sandwich was one of my top 3 from LA. As I grazed the bakery display, a patron whispered that I should try the biscuit with jam and butter. The guy was wearing Cheetos socks so I immediately felt that his recommendation was trustworthy. I threw in my lot with the biscuit and oh boy, did it (and his recommendation) deliver. Humble looking on the outside, there's a nice salted, buttery crust to the exterior that opens up to an inviting platform to slather on creamy butter and jam. I fully understand why he felt the extra calories were worth it. I'd do it again. Of course, I couldn't order a biscuit without a drink, so I tried their summery limoncello cream iced matcha with oat milk - summers in Kyoto and Sicily combine for a refreshing and satisfyingly creamy bever-"aaage" that adds some pep to your step, even when the mercury pushes past 100. Enjoyed with the biscuit, I was darn near ready to call it a day as I had probably experienced my best moment of the day. Little Nelly is officially on my weekly rotation from here on out. read more

This place is super cute inside, and the staff are all really nice! I ended up getting an iced hazelnut latte and a breakfast burrito. The latte came out fairly quickly and it was good, not too sweet at all. But I ended up waiting about 20 minutes for the burrito so I think if you want food from here, it's a good idea to order ahead. When I got home, I was super excited for the burrito! It looked amazing and honestly the first couple of bites were really good!! The flavor was good, the crunchy potatoes, eggs and cheese were yummy and I did enjoy the bacon. I thought it was a great burrito, but the more I ate it, the more salty it tasted so I ended up thinking it was just an okay burrito. I do wish they offered an option for sausage instead of bacon. Our office was planning on coming here a couple weeks ago but we couldn't because of the seating situation. Today, we ended up being able to visit and buy a couple of sandwiches. The outside of the store looks fairly unassuming. I was a little taken aback to see a gun store right across the street but nonetheless, we made our way in the store. First of all, the store is extremely cute; its a dainty little store with knick knacks and produce scattered throughout. I really liked all of the items that were there, as it sounded and looked very unique to me. I was also very pleased to see that they use Canyon Coffee for their cold brews. I got the Lemon caper tuna salad sandwich and it was very good. I personally like a good toasted tuna sandwich and when the cashier asked if I wanted the sandwich toasted, my immediate answer was "Yes, please!" The sandwich took a bit of time to come out and I was warned after my purchase but it didn't bother me at all. There were two or three workers making sandwiches and they had huge orders that they were fulfilling before I had even arrived. The sandwich was really good and paired very nicely with my cold brew. I don't see a lot of stores like this one in the neighborhood, so its definitely a treat to see that a place like this exists and its filled with people. Parisienne with fresh ham, brie, apricot jam, wild arugula, and sea salt butter. So good! Salty, sweet, creamy, and crunchy! Perfect mix in the mouth. Loved the coffee art in my cappuccino and the coffee was tasty. My partner also loved the beet toast, which was a work of art. All the sandwiches are made to order, and it looks like they get a lot of online/ phone orders so would suggest either ordering ahead or going on a day of leisure. I was looking for the best biscuits in town and someone recommended Little Nelly. We went yesterday morning to try some things and was absolutely not disappointed by their crunchy, super buttery buttermilk biscuits. I ate a small piece cause it fell off and my mind was a bit blown by how delicious it was! The breakfast burrito tasted really good with the red salsa, with the only downside being a LOT of grease inside either from the hash brown/tater tot or the bacon. I loved the BEC sandwich. Croast was interesting though not my favorite. Service was super friendly and food took about 10-15 minutes to come out. There's nowhere to sit and eat so it's takeout only. Cute little neighborhood market/bakery with coffee, tea, pastries, and savory items. There were some unique products in the market section and honestly, they were soooo expensive, plus I think most things didn't have a price tag. I'd been wanting to check this place out since they opened, and when I was hosting my family for lunch, I decided to outsource cooking/food prep and spend more time hanging out with them. Little Nelly's website makes it super easy to order in advance, and when I called the store to ask a few questions before I ordered, the woman I talked to was extremely nice and even put me on hold to check the bakery case for me. I ordered the beet and hummus toast, the tuna sandwich (grilled), the lil' guy turkey sandwich, the Little Nelly Salad, the special bacon frittata, and slices of coffee cake, pumpkin bread and a chocolate croissant. I also ordered the white bean dip and roasted eggplant dip from the prepared food case. I had called ahead and asked if the sandwiches and toasts could be cut into 4 pieces for sharing, which they were happy to do. They also offer to tie up your sandwiches in wax paper and twine, which would be the cutest for a picnic. The food was a big hit! My husband isn't a dip person but he loooooved the white bean dip. The food was almost all gone at the end of the day. The salad was actually one of my favorites... such a fresh and tasty flavor combo. They use fresh ingredients for everything and it shows. When you walk in, there is a very curated market with gifts. But I was here for lunch. I had the tuna sandwich. It's a sleek, compact little sandwich. At first, I was concerned about the amount of tuna that was in it. But it was amazing and the proportions really worked. All of the cookies look like they are made with white sugar. They just have that look and I didn't want any of them. I ordered the brownie. It was very cakey and not fudgy enough for me. They probably use too much flour not enough chocolate. These slices are on the small side, so order two without guilt! The side salad that you can order along with it is also great - a mix of farmers market lettuces and delicate watermelon or similar radishes with a lemony vinaigrette. This is my go-to order. Take it to the park on Olive for extra enjoyment! They also make fresh super satisfying sandwiches on great breads. Their sourdough is quite nice.
