I was looking for the best biscuits in town and someone recommended Little Nelly. We went yesterday morning to try some things and was absolutely not disappointed by their crunchy, super buttery buttermilk biscuits. I ate a small piece cause it fell off and my mind was a bit blown by how delicious it was! The breakfast burrito tasted really good with the red salsa, with the only downside being a LOT of grease inside either from the hash brown/tater tot or the bacon. I loved the BEC sandwich. Croast was interesting though not my favorite. Service was super friendly and food took about 10-15 minutes to come out. There's nowhere to sit and eat so it's takeout only. Cute little neighborhood market/bakery with coffee, tea, pastries, and savory items. There were some unique products in the market section and honestly, they were soooo expensive, plus I think most things didn't have a price tag. I tried Little Nelly through a doordash delivery and it was delicious. Every sandwich was sealed with a sticker and labeled with the person's name. It helped to make the group order easy to manage. I got the lemon caper tuna salad sandwich. It was brightly citrus, which i love. It was very nicely balanced with a cream sauce and the tuna was tender. I also tried the baguette with the brie and jam. Brie and jam are a match made in heaven, but the baguette bread was very chewy and hard to bite through. Little Nelly absolutely blew us away once again We had them cater our baby shower, and our guests were obsessed with the food. Everything was so fresh, super delicious, and packaged so neatly. People kept coming up to me asking, "Where is this from?!" I was so happy to share this little Burbank gem with everyone. And honestly, the service was just as amazing as the food. There was a small mix-up with the type of buns for one of the sandwiches, and the owner was so sweet about it. They offered to personally drive to Ktown to drop off the correct ones at no charge. I'd been wanting to check this place out since they opened, and when I was hosting my family for lunch, I decided to outsource cooking/food prep and spend more time hanging out with them. Little Nelly's website makes it super easy to order in advance, and when I called the store to ask a few questions before I ordered, the woman I talked to was extremely nice and even put me on hold to check the bakery case for me. I ordered the beet and hummus toast, the tuna sandwich (grilled), the lil' guy turkey sandwich, the Little Nelly Salad, the special bacon frittata, and slices of coffee cake, pumpkin bread and a chocolate croissant. I also ordered the white bean dip and roasted eggplant dip from the prepared food case. I had called ahead and asked if the sandwiches and toasts could be cut into 4 pieces for sharing, which they were happy to do. They also offer to tie up your sandwiches in wax paper and twine, which would be the cutest for a picnic. The food was a big hit! My husband isn't a dip person but he loooooved the white bean dip. The food was almost all gone at the end of the day. The salad was actually one of my favorites... such a fresh and tasty flavor combo. They use fresh ingredients for everything and it shows. We chose The frittata, a beautiful biscuit and a Kouign Aman. We waited a few minutes for things to be warmed. The frittata was beautiful but surprising loose under the cheesy topping. Not sure if this is a French style frittata but I'm not comfortable with a heavy cream sauce at the bottom of my frittata. The biscuit was okay. The clerk called something we eyed in the case a Kouign Aman when we inquired but then called it a morning bun when she handed to us after being heated. It was neither. Blink and you will miss it. Looks more like a production office from the outside than the sophisticated market, bakery, restaurant and shop that it is. When you walk in, there is a very curated market with gifts. But I was here for lunch. I had the tuna sandwich. It's a sleek, compact little sandwich. At first, I was concerned about the amount of tuna that was in it. But it was amazing and the proportions really worked. All of the cookies look like they are made with white sugar. They just have that look and I didn't want any of them. I ordered the brownie. It was very cakey and not fudgy enough for me. They probably use too much flour not enough chocolate. The woman who helped me was not sweet. All in all, it's a great little shop and I would definitely go back for a sandwich and some gifts. I do think their bakery could use some reworking. read more

Outstanding quiche. The buttery flakey crust is outta this world! I rarely bother with bread/crusts, but this one is worth it and then some! These slices are on the small side, so order two without guilt! The side salad that you can order along with it is also great - a mix of farmers market lettuces and delicate watermelon or similar radishes with a lemony vinaigrette. This is my go-to order. Take it to the park on Olive for extra enjoyment! They also make fresh super satisfying sandwiches on great breads. Their sourdough is quite nice. The frittata is also great, esp if you are looking to avoid a crust altogether. Their baked goods case always has new and interesting items as well as daily standbys. I'm a big fan of the brownie. They also make espresso drinks! The shop itself has lots of beautiful home goods and great greeting cards, as well as specialty food stuffs (McConnell's ice creams! Fresh bread loaves! Delicious farro salad and desserts! I originally was going to get a sandwich but once I read the description of the Farro salad, the flavors sounded perfect for a light, yet satisfying lunch. The greens were fresh and gave a nice bite. The lemon dressing was bright and tasty, and the harissa flavored farro with garbanzo beans tasted great together. The browned butter walnut cake with espresso maple glaze was SOOO good! Dense, moist, perfect texture, almost like a banana bread. Delicious to have some bites after lunch. Breakfast burrito and biscuits were really good, but I had a negative experience with service. They don't have the best system when it comes to picking up your order. My drink was taking a while and I noticed there was one ready at the front. I asked if it was mine, and the employee said yes. I drank it and realized it was not what I ordered. At the same time another customer asked for his order, and I realized I was given his! When I told the employee, I was made to feel like it was my fault for picking up the wrong order. Meanwhile I don't think they ever made my drink, so I felt bad that they had to make two new drinks. I don't feel like it was my fault but an issue with their ordering system. Beautiful takeout/cafe boutique which DELICIOUS food! I love Yelp for helping me find places like this that I would otherwise have no idea existed. I will definitely be back many, many times and will message all my Burbank friends to let them know this gorgeous place exists! The biscuits ARE as good as they look which says a lot cuz they look GOOD. Pretty sure it's the best biscuit I've ever had! Perfectly crispy outside and soft buttery inside. I also had the spinach fontina(?) quiche and it was also delicious. Whoever is baking here KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. The salmon toast was beautiful and delicious! Not nearly as much salmon as other pictures I saw here but it was pretty balanced and tasted great - I'll definitely be back for this! I also got the Little Nelly salad which was picture perfect and priced well at $12. The prices may be a little higher for certain items but justifiable to me because they are clearly using high quality ingredients from the jam to the eggs. The tip choices are set to a minimum of 15% (unless you use the custom button) which does feel high for a takeout-only place. Was looking for a breakfast burrito that wasnt gonna be purely a gut buster and this one hit the spot. The burrito is compact but densely packed with quality ingredients. The bacon was cooked perfectly, they use lots of tasty eggs and the tots had the perfect crispy bite without making the whole thing oily. It also came with a side sauce that was spicy (mildly) and really rounded the whole thing out. The inside of this place is like a mini market with artisanal pantry goods and utensils.
