My kids have been going here since September 2015.All 3 of my boys since they were 3 months old to 4/5 years old. With my oldest being 10 in June and my youngest being 1 1/2 years old .They have always have been caring with my boys .The director Is different from when we first started she has a good plan of care and teaching for each age group.I also Love that they help potty training and I love the 2s class teacher she's the best . read more

The employees of this school are very caring. I have never had a problem in the two years I have had my child here. I don't understand the bad reviews and I'm sorry but if you read them, the people leaving them are illiterate. No day care is perfect. If you are so picky, stay home and take care of your own kids!! I love this Daycare ,My son been coming here since he was 6 months old. All the teacher are Great here they actually teach the kids here , They just don't watch T.V. like other Daycare , My son comes home singing song that the teachers teach them. It's a very good daycare. I recommend. Please know that I only know this much because I actually ask questions regarding my child and the care that is given for her. I also did my research before choosing this daycare out of many others in the area for my child. It goes based off of how many hours a week you bring your child and also whether or not they are potty trained. They accept programs like options and others I believe. My child has been here for a couple of years and soon will leaving for public school. You must provide your child's breakfast or be fed at least in the morning if you plan on bringing them early before you go to work, lunch and also plenty of snacks (if you plan having them there all day due to work / personal reasons) are required by the parent since it is not provided by the school. (Do not complain about this and the price since you are looking for a service that best suits to you. If this is not for you, look somewhere else!!) They're very informative, they always let you know when there is any type of outbreak (MFHD, Lice, etc). People sweeearrrrrrr that these are not normal outbreaks that can be brought from home or from other peoples homes. *They WILL let you know weeks in advance when they are closed for holidays. Please plan at your convenience. They are normally closed for the day of minor holidays and for major holidays they are normally closed the day before, day of and the day after after. *Infants (months - 2 Yrs) are kept in a separate building that's fenced off next to the main building. They have their own AC, kitchen, sleep area, feeding area and play area inside and outside. They have their own teachers and aids that are for that section specifically. They have a parking lot in the back so you can safely pick up and drop off your child since it's dangerous to do so on the Main Street of Maxson Road, but to each their own if you're okay with the stupid drivers. When a child gets hurt whether it's a child to child, self inflicted (falling, jumping, running) they will tell you! They either send you a note with your child if it was something small or will tell you upon pick up, or a call if drastic. Bumps and bruises are normal, but please TRY TO be courteous and calm when asking what happened. I say try bc I know it's a parent instinct to go ape sh!!t for our kids. They have class parties and they ask for volunteers for food or supplies. If it can't be provided due to nobody signing up for it, the school does their best to cover for it. I know bc I asked. If there is a power outage, they will call you in case you would like to pick up your child early or in case you need to pick them up early. If there is a emergency and it involved cops, they will be in locked down and will call you to inform you. PARENTS of children wearing diapers!!! Please keep in mind that teachers and aids of the daycare can only clean your child so well if they are wearing diapers! Every parent cleans their children in their different way and know how to keep their children clean, but these teachers and aids can only clean so good per California or school policies. PLEASE CALL AND ASK REGARDING!!! They are very good at changing your child's diaper when wet or soiled with #2, but diaper rush is normal especially in the summer or when potty training. Also keep in mind that the diaper / wipes your child is using may not work for their skin either so that may also be a result. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for the amount of diapers and wipes your child has. They are normally good at letting you know when your child is low in supplies, but please make sure to do your part and ask how much YOUR CHILD has left. When my child would grow out of a specific diaper size and I had a lot left over from a size, I would just donate it to the school. Better to the school than the trash in my own personal belief. Same thing for clothes, reusable containers or still good usable shoes, but that's just me. Potty training Once a child starts potty training, it is ultimately on the parent to help their child learn how to use the potty properly!! The school, teachers and aids will do their best to help with potty training to make it an easier transition from diapers to potty training, but please do not rely on them 100% to do it for YOUR CHILD. Send plenty of changes of clothes in case of accident!! They use toilet paper for the potty so please show your child how to use the potty with toilet paper at home too, not just wipes. My kid had a bit of issue with this and had a rash for a couple of days and I didn't know why BUT I DIDNT KNOW THAT THEY USE TOILET PAPER UNTIL I ASKED. That was my fault for ASSUMING that they used wipes for potty training at the daycare too. Don't get me wrong, the teachers will notify you if your child seems to have irritation when using the potty or going in their diaper. They will inform you of diaper rash development, etc.* read more

I wonder if this school is still on service! It might be around six years ago, I was sending my littlie child since she was six months old to this daycare. While she was about two, I started to look very weird things that her hair was pulled off from the root around the middle of her left head. While noticing this, it was wondering me and I was thinking it might be due to the shampoos or conditioners I used and didn't say any to them. In another day, they did uprooted again a patch of her hair on the same side of her head. The next morning, I asked the supervisor and she said she doesn't know anything but kind of took a note that doesn't help any. I was thinking to escalate the issue but my husband didn't like to go through the compliant process and I failed to do it. Few months after my daughter lost her patch of her hair in the daycare, she started to scare everything, she started screaming as if she saw a snake or something scary stuff. I took her to a Dr. but they couldn't help her at all. Still now, she is so scared of darkness. unless she is in her school, she is afraid of anyone other than her parents and siblings. I am not sure if this behavior has to do with her hair pulled off but I always linking with it, hate this preschool! read more

Nap time! Movie time! Recess! Leaning time! Man I've seen the little pre - kindergarten classroom at different times of the day and they are always having a blast! I've never heard my bf's kids say anything bad about this school except that it's awesome and that they LOVED it!!!! His youngest loves to come to school everyday =) I love seeing them dance, and sing ^-^ I've gone and seen that the children here have a blast and the teachers are incredibly kind and helpful. I would strongly recommend this pre-K school for little children! The staff & teachers are amazing & very friendly. My older daughter went to pre-K here and now my little daughter as well. My daughter loves to wake up every morning to go to school to see her teachers & friends. This school had a bad program for baby and parent , why? Because my son been here around 6 months then i know how they take care my baby First too many kids for one teacher ( 10 kids like 2 years old for a class room ) no ways they can watch baby good for same time Second when we have a holiday like Christmas, new year, thanksgivings... The school always closed a day before and on the day holiday , sometime day just open haft day before regular holiday , but parents still have pay the full price for the whole week , that is so funny , they just a private school, i need them help me watch my baby when ever im working too, my job not other job, im a hairstylist that why im always busy before holiday, if they closed on the christmas , im ok with that, but before a day, no ways im dont have a lot money to spend for those days ? And the last one my son been here like few months already but he doesnt looks happy whenever i put him in there , he always came home like very hungry , every time he came home he always like to ask for a snack or eat a lot like super hungry , trust me one time when i was going there to take my baby out of school, i saw a lady playing a phone while she was in the class room with kids, they not focus at all for do their jobs . My daughter was 10 months old and had her here for 1wk. pro: -opens at 6:30a -inexpensive ($200/wk) for 5 day full day -no wait list -nearby -I can call during the day to check up on my daughter -staff is nice con -the center needs a face lift. you can tell it's running down a little -the nursery smell like cleaning solution when I dropped her off in the morning. - when my mom pick my daughter up in the afternoon, my mom said that the kids didn't look very energetic or lively. I don't know what to make of that. My daughter had raging diarrhea a few days after I started going to this place and I don't know if it was the exposure to a new environment, etc or because I changed her from pro-biotic to standard rice cereal. Today is my son's last day at Burdick's and it is bitter-sweet for me. He is changing schools because we moved to a different city. He started off in the infant class and graduated to the 2 year old class. I love, love his teachers and I will miss them so much. Yes, the school can use a little upgrading. My daughter came here for about 3 1/2 years maybe even longer and she not once complained about her teachers or the school itself. Like any child starting school for their first time, it took my daughter about a week to ease in. That has been the only difficult moment for both my daughter and I. Besides that my daughter loved coming here. They helped potty train my daughter and she learned so much. My daughter just started kinder so she no longer attends but I'll definitely be bringing her back when her school is on vacation throughout her school year. One of the worst day cares i had ever had to deal with. I had my 2 year old son go here and i wasn't happy at all here. He came here for about 3 months and a half all of my concerns i talked to the director gabby well all i can say her attitude and her professionalism wasn't great at all she will always put excuses for the stuff happening to my son which really aggravated me. So this last couple of weeks i would pick up my son and i noticed he was pooped i did this for about a whole week and mon-friday i would pick him up and he wouldnt be change it was so bad that he began to get rashes and believe me i hate seeing my son in pain the worst part is gabby said well we would have to wake him up during nap time to check him which i again said that is fine with me if you would wake him up and change him rather him getting a bad rash. After that it seemed like they were changing him to me these people dont care about your children they dont watch them well there always on there phones when i go. Her little daughter that stays there as well is always picking up the 1 years old which is very dangerous also theres kids that bite and they dont notify you all the time this happened to my son 4 times and 2 times i was notified the other 2 i brought it to there attention and again they didnt know how it happened. All they can say my son is very disruptive but then again if it was so severe in there policy says they would notify you again they werent doing what there suppose to or following there guidelines. I think it's very sad that this place has gotten bad reviews. My daughter has been going to Burdicks for a year now and she loves it. She's always talking about her friends and teachers especially Ms Gaby In the beginning When i was looking for childcare I was a little concern about this place due to the bad reviews, one of my neighbors told me to come and check it out. I can honestly say that i was super impressed on how they run their program. I was given a tour of the center from Ms Gaby who is the school director super nice and made me feel welcomed. She showed me all the classrooms and introduced me to the staff. The children were doing different activities and looked happy to be there. My daughter loves being there. The staff are always nice and courteous. Always have great and educational activities for the children especially for any holiday events.
