Partner picked up meat Burek, spinach feta Burek and a chicken soup as I am recovering at home. He also shows up with a sweet surprise, baklava and tollumba! Everything was delicious. Burek fillings are tasty, dough flaky the sweets were amazing.

Family run and very authentic Turkish place. The aroma of espresso and the smell of meat, herb fills the place. A treasure in Clifton, experience the flavor without the travel. A must visit when you go to Clifton.

I was looking through Doordash for something different and I came across this place. I've been to some other Balkan places and I am a fan of burek so I ordered from here. I went with a shopska salad, a meat burek, and a hurmašice for dessert to try a bit of each of the menus. I wish I could have ordered a tufahija but I understand that this dessert would be really difficult to deliver. They also don't have Ćevapi on the takeout menu which is unfortunate (as it's on the regular menu) so their online menu by comparison is a bit limited. The Shopska salad, which is their variant of Shephard Salad, was excellent and cheap with a whole lot of feta and some fresh vegetables being a mi of tomatoes and bell peppers with some balsamic on top. It was quite worth it for the price and I would recommend it. The meat burek was comparable to most other places I have been to. It was quite good, soft on the outside with ample filling. Hurmašice or Hurmasica is simply a cake topped with syrup. As the rest of the menu, it tasted homemade and it was quite tasty also. Good little Bosnian place which I will order from again (though I hope they add more dishes from their menu to DoorDash so I don't have to stop there.)

I had the opportunity to try Bosnian food or in other words balkan food. Let me tell the food was freaking amazing!!! The owner was so nice and absolutely awesome to talk to. The vibe you get from him is like we are family. First, food choice to come out was the most fluffy burek slices ranging from cheese, spinach and even meat version. I truly enjoyed the meat slice so much I even licked my fingers clean. Second food selection that came out was the chevapi and man when I saw the meat was so juicy and tender it literally brings a smile to my face while making my mouth water. Make sure to rip a piece of the bread grab a piece of the meat and grab some onions you'll thank me later. The chevapi is so flavorful that will drive your taste palates into overtime!!! Third food selection the owner personally recommended to us was the two month old veal slow cooked to perfection. Literally you pierce your fork into it the meat just falls apart. First bite the flavor of the veal will take you to nirvana. Try this if you try the veal, take a piece of the bread from the chevapi and dip it into the bone marrow. That delicious flavor from slow cooking is going to kick you senses into overtime! Will I recommend someone to come try this restaurant? Absolutely!!! I cannot wait to go back and try this.

This spot has been open for 20 years and its not in the kind of neighborhood I would visit, but now I come here just for the Burek. The meat Burek is really good! It's perfectly crispy and freshly made. Their soups are also amazing, especially the Kelle Pache. Another great dish is the Chevapi and we always end up ordering the Mantije. I've tried the other dishes and they are worth trying, but not things I would order again. My only complaint is with the bread they serve. It's not good at all and unless I remember to ask them to hold it, it ends up untouched.

Not bad, but I've had better Bosnian food. Good, filling, comfort food. I've been here a couple of times and usually order the staples which is the burek (meat, spinach, or cheese filled), or cevape (meat sausages with two pieces of lepinje bread). Never had the desert here, but I am sure it is great on the sweet tooth. What I really love about the place is the Bosnian vibe. The decor and music really makes me feel like I am back home. Not many places in New Jersey like this.

Came here with my buddy for Bosnian food. The menu said there was a lamb (Friday) special but they were either out of it or they stopped making it. We settled for sharing the chevapi, the meat burek, and 2 desserts. The best item was the burek. The crust was crispy and it baked fresh. The chevapi was different for us. It seemed like there like baking soda or something that gave it was chemically taste to the meat. The desserts were not that great. They've been in the fridge for awhile. It had a stale taste for us. I'm not gonna knock this place. It's very authentic and I was glad to try different cuisine. I really liked what was airing on the TV. Pretty ladies singing. We really liked the CD holder upcyled as a waterfall. Cc accepted, bathroom is clean

As a part Bosnian who has ventured little into Bosnian cuisine, I was super excited to try this place. I had heard a lot about it from some Bosnians that I know crediting Burek King for being very authentic. I came in on a Wednesday evening with a friend, and this place reminded me of being in my grandparents' kitchen. The location has a cutely decorated seating area with a very home-like feel. The owner greeted us very kindly and made an effort to get to know us. The menu offers a good assortment of authentic Bosnian dishes without being too overwhelming. My friend and I started off with the Burek. I got one stuffed with meat and one stuffed with leek and cheese. Both types were extremely authentic with much higher quality dough than other Burek I have had. They were flakey, flavorful, and tasted homemade and fresh. I personally liked the meat-stuffed one better, but both were very high quality. We also placed an order fir the Cevapi. We could see the owner's wife making it fresh behind their counter. After about 15 minutes and an amazing serving of Burek, our Cevapi came out fresh and piping hot. The portion was extremely generous with 10 pieces of Cevapi meat kebabs inside of homemade bread. The quality, texture, and freshness of the meat is unmatched. The owner also gave us some of the freshest yogurt and red pepper sauce to dip out meat in. He made sure to check that we were enjoying our food and seemed to genuinely care about our satisfaction with our food. Overall, this place is DEFINITELY worth a visit. While it's not a super aesthetic or glamorous restaurant, it boasts true small business quality. The authenticity , food quality, large portions, and customer service are exemplary. If you're in need restaurant meal that feels homemade and comforting, pay Burek King a visit please.

I ordered delivery from here, and everything was freshly prepared and warm when it arrived. I had a slice of the spinach burek, and it was packed with spinach and cheese! I also had tulumba, which reminded me of a churro. It's basically fried dough with honey, and it was delicious. I recommend warming it up for a few seconds. Others who ordered also enjoyed their food, and I'll continue to order from here and try the menu out.

Food- Apple Cinnamon Dessert (I don't know the exact name!)

I don't know of many traditional Balkan food spots. Burek King is an awesome introduction to the cuisine, is very affordable, is halal, and is delicious! The chevapi seems to be the most popular item, and the most classical item on their menu. Definitely give it a try for a huge portion of food for the cost. All the food has that homemade made-by-grandma taste and is full of flavor, despite being pretty straightforward- the chevapi is basically meat, bread, and raw onions! The Bosnian special was also spectacular. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful. They do offer outdoor dining and the food was prepared quickly. Overall, if you're looking to explore a new cuisine, definitely try out Burek King!

Very happy I finally made it out here, it's small and warm inside. There was a long wait when I arrived because they had appeared to just put the Burek in the oven but that just means they were super fresh when I got them. And it smelled amazing inside while they were baking! I had a slice of each, meat, cheese and spinach&cheese combo, they were all good. Slices were big and a bit pricey but still fair. I'd recommend it and if I had time to sit and eat I'd try some of their entrées.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.

It was a lot of food, my favorite dip was the labneh. Mix Grill for 4 came with six kofta kebabs, two shish kebabs, and four chicken kebabs, served alongside tender beef shawarma, grilled vegetables, house rice, and warm spicy bread. It was a lot of food. Some meats were overcooked though, and I prefer other mixed grills I've gotten at other Arabic restaurants. My favorite item was the lamb makluba, which had a seasoned rice with extremely tender bone in lamb chunks. I'd get just the makluba and maybe an appetizer next time so I'd have way less leftovers.

I ordered the buttermilk cast iron pancake with berries, turkey sausage, and scrambled eggs on the side. The pancake itself was disappointing. It tasted more like cornbread, and not the slightly sweet kind like Jiffy, but more savory and noticeably salty. It was also pretty dry. The mascarpone cream and berries helped balance things out a bit, but I'm not sure if too much lemon or salt was added because my pancake leaned heavily on the salty side. I also tried the "All Night Long" drink, which I actually really enjoyed. It was strong and well-made, and I'd definitely recommend it.
