We love Burger 21!! We are fans of the Bacon Cheesy burgers. The burgers are juicy and the fries are cooked just right. So good!! We love this Burger 21 because not only is the food great but the staff is amazing, too. Since the quarantine began we have ordered curbside service through the app and have been very pleased. This place is so gooooood!!!! It's a hike from our house, but we make the trip when we want a really good burger and fries. The shakes are also to die for, I always get their strawberry shortcake and it never disappoints. Also the customer service is pretty awesome. Did I mention all the sauce options here, Jesus do they have so many sauces I feel like I went to sauce heaven as the wife and I are both sauce people (yeah we're those people). This place is on par with Melt in Leesburg. The pineapple upside down shake they had as a monthly special was probably the best milkshake I ever had. The hot dogs here are also pretty great, I normally would not have ordered one, but someone told me to try it and I was glad I did. The cheeseburger came out great as well, full of flavor. The burgers were not good at all in my opinion. It was over seasoned and extremely greasy. I've never had a salty burger before, but this one was definitely over salted. There was so much grease and juice that my bun was soaked and the there was a puddle in my basket that soaked through the paper and onto the table. My youngest son got the kid's cheeseburger and he said it was too small and his was salty as well. The kid's burger was just slightly larger than a slider. The fries were good. If you order the Cheese & Ale Fries, the cheese sauce comes in a cup next to your fries, not on the fries. We found that odd, but not a big deal as we proceeded to pour the sauce on ourselves. It's good to give people options as to how they want their sauce. It was still pretty good. We just couldn't eat much of it. My youngest son was highly disappointed that he could not get a chocolate peanut butter shake with his kid's meal. Why they couldn't do that, I don't know because the kid's shakes are the same size as a small shake. Kid's meals are limited to chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. Between his shake and his very small burger, he never wants to come here again. The dining area was very clean and I did like the fact that they had multiple sauces to choose from that you could help yourself to. The white plastic chairs were a bit uncomfortable and slide way too easily on the tile floor, so we moved to a booth. You can always get your order to go as well. Considering I've never had a salty burger before and I've never had one as greasy as the one I received here, I don't think we'll be returning. Alright my little MoNsTeRs, time for yet another review. I've gone here twice and each time I ordered the same thing, the OMG Burga, cause I'm a OMG kinda guy kno'em sayin?? It was BOMB and it was BEAST! The bun is the perfect brioche bun and the burger was drip drip drippity drop juicy!! The host was exceptionally nice and informative the first time I ordered. They also have fries and sweet potato fries; the fries are basically like really good fresh McDonald Fries, the sweet potato fries are good, but they got something KrAzY...toasted marshmallow sauce which is HELLA good with the sweet potatoes.. Turn around time for your burger once you order is minimal also. I just wish they also had onion rings, I'm mean come'on mayn!! Who ever came up with toasted marshmallow sauce should get props, a pat on the back and a noogie on the head for such a great idea!! I recommend this place, you shouldn't be disappointed. read more

Burgers are pretty much my favorite thing in the world (besides seafood), so I was beyond psyched to hear about this place from one of my clients at work. Especially since it's smack dab in-between work and home. I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant. Feels kind of like a mixture of a classic diner with the youthfulness of chipotle. Staff seemed friendly and helpful as well. Always a good sign. I got the Black & Bleu, and since I'm sensitive to gluten, I opted for the GF bun (although they also have a lettuce wrap). The only reason this isn't five stars is because the gluten bun is basically styrofoam - but I don't believe that it is even possible to have a good GF bun. Next time I would just get the lettuce or suffer (deliciously) through the regular bun. The Black & Bleu had the perfect ratio of bleu cheese to bacon to DELICIOUS BEEF, although the tomato didn't really play much of a part. I would definitely come here again for a semi-casual lunch or a low-key date. Prices are a little bit high, but the great quality of the beef is worth it. I was surprisingly impressed with B21. They have a wide array of burgers, as well as shrimp and ahi tuna burger alternatives and they always feature a "Burger of the Month." You can also add a fried egg to any of them. They offer a variety of ketchup and sauce accompaniments such as thai, chipotle mayo, honey mustard, etc. I also like their half and half option of regular fries and sweet potato fries. They are crisp, thin, not overly salty, and delicious. B21 builds their burgers just right with the bun sopping up the juices and the ingredients stacked nice and neat -- two thumbs up. read more

I like the fact that they try new things every month. They have specials every month for burgers as well as their shakes. This is my second time there and I got the cinco burger this time. I liked the combination of the jalapenos and the guac as well as the salsa. I also had their cookies and cream shake which is my favorite! They have a little sauce bar for different kinds of sauces. As everyone else had said, you should definitely try the Thai ketchup. It's just spicy ketchup. They also have a sink station to wash your hands which is perfect. Bookmarked to try it, went early to beat the lunch rush. It is located in a town center being built so not much over there and construction going on. I did a to go order, the ordering area is to the left as you enter, people were helpful but some not necessarily friendly if that makes sense. I did see one of the ladies suggesting sauces which is great. I got my free birthday chocolate shake.. yummmm and way too generous portion.. I am going to get wheeled out of my office if I drink it all.. I also order one of each of their cookies which will be tried and shared too later, they are made daily in house. For ref, it chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia nut and rocky road.. who can turned down a rocky road cookie... Okay so I ordered to go, bacon cheesy 4-pack and regular fries. The fries were just okay but take this with a grain of salt how often are fries good when you have to travel more than 5 miles... the sauces made up for it in the end. Now the bacon cheesy 4-pack, yummmm the sweet rolls were perfect with the burger... now here's the BUT my beef is with how they packed them to go, it was in an open face container then saran wrapped.. little odd so hopefully they work on that to go packaging... especially since you can order online. I sampled four sauces ragin cajun, chipotle mayo and thai ketchup were all delicious. The ranch just didn't do it for me, it had an off taste. I will probably go back, don't know how often as it is about 15 miles from my work and it is pricey. This is one of the best burger places I've eaten at. The burgers are thick and juicy, with lots of options for customization. Unlike Smashburger, the fries here are shoestring, but served hot and plentiful. The best part is they have a station with 10 or so different dipping sauces, with flavors like thai ketchup, apple cider, toasted marshmellow, and ragin' cajun. The cheese ale sauce that can come with the fries (on the side), is gravyish, with bacon and scallions; not really my cup of tea, but I could see where others would like it. I had a bananas foster milkshake, which was quite thick, with a nice layer of whipped cream and caramel (?) sauce on top, compete with a toasted banana. Everything I ordered came out top notch. The neatest thing is they have a sink, complete with soap and paper towels, in the dining room, so you can wash your hands without having to squeeze into a restroom. Came here because Melts was kind of too far. First thing I notice is this place is really clean and it also has a place to wash your hands if you don't want to go into the bathroom. The service is really nice, a server greeted me and helped me choose what I wanted. I ended up ordering the Loaded Spud Burger and a side of fries. The Burger came with bacon, cheddar cheese and a potato crisp. The Burger was very flavorful it also came with a side of cheese and ale sauce which I added to the Burger. The fries were pretty good, but they have a variety of sauces you can get like chipotle mayo (my favorite), Thai ketchup, raging Cajun and others. You definitely get what you pay for the burgers aren't oversized or expensive. Overall I would give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. If this place wasn't so far I would definitely come back. read more

Absolutely amazing !!! We are from out of town and came across this place on accident. Best accident. My boyfriend and I both agreed our burgers were some of the best we've ever had. He got the bacon one and I got the Tex mex and shared fries. Ps also the fries have about 7 types of dipping sauces from chipotle mayo to toasted marshmallow. We left with milkshakes and are sad this is not a local place for us. We live in the neighborhood so we've been waiting in anticipation for this place to open since it was announced. That being said - it was totally worth the wait! We tried the bacon cheesy burger, Greek veggie burger and fries. All were wonderful! The burger is fresh and juicy, fries are crispy, and the feta spread and house pickled cucumbers are super tasty! The manager and owners came around to great each table and offered us milk shake samples (I'll definitely be back for a shake!). These designer burgers are fantastic. Family friendly up beat place. I love their sauce section. I always make sure I go here with a couple people so I don't feel like fattbutt when I get sweet potato fries and regular fries. I get all the ketchup sauces and dip like crazy. The first time I came here management came by our table to tell us about the history of the company. I really appreciate knowing the ins and outs of a successful company like B21. I felt like Patrick in Spongebob Square Pants in episode LIfe of Crime except it was a burger instead of chocolate bar. "Who ate my burger?!?" ( I did) The second time I came here with my boyfriend and his friend. They can get out of hand sometimes but the server was smart and seated us away from the family with young children so that our PG-13 conversations did not corrupt the innocent child ears. HERE's an exceptional place of note. This chain has a concentration of stores in Florida, but its expanding nationally. This location is in Ashburn at the Central Station complex (future home of the Silver Line's Last Stop). Right now, somewhat obscure - right behind the Home Depot. I had the featured "Burger of the Month" - the "Turdunken"... OK, that sounds scary with the way "turd" in it. But it is a cross between a turkey burger and a chicken burger with cranberry sauce. It was awesome. I skipped the fries and hide a very quality side salad. The salad was nicely styled in an attractive bowl - and the available dressings were above par. As a burger expert and seeking more healthy alternatives, I was really impressed. You order the burger and they bring it to your table. Bravo! read more

Visited this venue one Friday evening, recommended by a bud, Ms. D! I loved this chic burger joint, it's eclectic and modern! Plenty to choose from the gourmet burgers! I decide to try the Thai chili shrimp burger with half/half fries sweet potato and regular with a black cherry coke!! Wow, this burger was all of that and then some!! It was cooked to perfection and the spiciness did it for me!!! The fries were thin cut and just divine!! The choices of dipping sauces were neat as well, ragin Cajun was my fav. The best of ALL that impressed me, the sink, touch less faucet, soap and towels in the open!! It is a neat idea in the open to promote cleanliness and have me a huge vote of confidence of their hygiene and cleanliness! I was super excited to see it! The burgers were pricey but it's nice for a treat every now and then. I topped my meal off with a strawberry pound cake milkshake! It was very good just labor intensive! It's like the food gods have heard all my prayers, after moving from Florida, I hoped I could find burgers just as good, apart from our stops at shake shack (not bad) nothing was as tasty. I will say that the bacon cheesy is my favorite burger, in my lifetime of burgers eaten. Be prepared to enjoy this, the meat is never over cooked. It always comes out a wonderful light pink hue, we always get one bacon cheesy and try something new. So far I've had at their locations, the bacon cheesy, BBQ bacon burger, the Philly cheese, the shrimp, the Mediterranean, the skinny, the chicken tender sandwich, and the bacon cheesy 4-pack. I've tasted the chocolate shake, the vanilla, maple bacon, bananas foster (bfs favorite), and the chocolate malt. Looking forward to trying their new monthly specials. read more

1.5 years later, and I'll say although I like Burger 21 for a nearby, easy to do gluten free option. The "fast casual" reference doesn't always strike me for going here, as the food isn't usually fast, and the price isn't casual. I love their dipping sauces, fries and shakes, but it's hard to get an accurate order it seems. I haven't had a correct one in my last two visits, and it's been annoying. They've corrected them, but I wish it could be done right the first time. For $35 for two burgers, basket of fries and two small shakes, I'd expect that. This place is "A-OK." Certainly, one of the best decisions I've made today was ordering a chocolate peanut butter shake for myself and a bananas foster shake for my husband. They were amazing, and that is not exaggerating. My husband loved his patty melt and my daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers - and in particular, the dip bar where she could mix and match to her heart's content. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with my Cinco burger (I "OMG"'d it for two patties.) It was dry and largely flavorless. There were little to no toppings (I think I counted 3 jalapeños) and they left off the salsa entirely. They also only brought us a regular fries when we ordered a large, but they just brought us out another regular which was fine (and they came out hot and right away.) Service was excellent all around; we will probably go back so I can try a different burger. read more

I'm a big burger fan, and I love trying out new places to see how they are. Now, usually when you go to one of these specialty burger places, you're gonna pay more for the meal. That's fine, whatever. I paid around $20. For that, I just want my food to come out promptly, correct, and delicious. I was taking it to-go, so I knew I had about a 10-15 minute wait once I ordered. Got there, checked out the menu, ordered a simple cheeseburger, the cheese and ale fries )with cheese etc on the side so fries did not get soggy on the way home), and a chocolate shake. I'm a huge shake fan as well, so trying a new place's shake is a must. Got the shake after a few minutes. Delicious! Exactly what you'd want from a simple milkshake. About 10-15 minutes goes by, they come out with my order and I leave. Get in my car, want a fry before starting her up, open the burger container instead.... They got my order wrong. Let me remind you, I just shelled out $20 for a meal that is now incorrect, and I know going back to correct it will take MORE time, and both my fries and the cheese stuff for them will be cold by the time I get my new burger and get home. So I go back in and tell them, they're apologetic and I wait another 5-10 minutes for a new burger. Check it once it comes out. Wrong again. Thankfully the fix was easy, so they didn't have to totally remake the burger, but by now, I was a little annoyed. I don't pay $20 for half of my meal to be luke warm at best. Get home, the fries, which have been in a container for now 20 minutes are soggy, and the cheese stuff that was supposed to go on top of them was all right tasting, but disgusting looking and not hot (barely warm actually). The burger, for all the hassle, was delicious. Very well made burger and juicy(and for $7.50, it better be). All in all the food is good, but the service is not. HUGE disappointment for a place that charges so much for burgers and fries. I will most likely just go somewhere I know can actually make a simple cheese burger with cheese, ketchup, and mayo right the first time. read more

Meh. I hate giving less than stellar reviews and I love supporting my local businesses but I just wasn't impressed with this place. My daughter and I order the same "Cheesy Burger" which was really greasy and with one single slice of American cheese, didn't really impress me with cheesiness. The burger was good and flavorful, but messy. Like 5 napkins messy (not ladylike IMHO) We also order the half and half fries (half fries half sweet potato fries). They were really skinny fries and the sweet potato fries didn't have much flavor other than salt. But anything is yummy when dipped in Chipotle mayo right??? Anyway, I will say the vibe is cool, staff friendly (and free cookie for checking on was nice, thank you) but we both agreed we would go for a Jakes Way-Back Cheesy Burger across the street over this one any day. Our family has numerous food intolerances. The door was opened for us by staff who greeted us and brought us the allergen list. He and the cashier who took our order assured us we weren't being difficult and they got the order correct. The burgers and fries were delicious. You can get your burgers cooked to order (as opposed to many chains medium well default!). The only thing I can say negative is the pickles are full of food dye and preservatives and not worth eating because they taste so chemically. read more

First and foremost... Never mess with a hungry person! My boyfriend and I have dined here and never had any issues until today. We normally have a great service and the food is always good. So... We walk in today and go to the registers to order. They had a girl working who didn't know how to work the register and didn't understand much English. There is nothing wrong with that, but I think that position needs to be filled by somebody who is knowledgeable of the register and understands English fluently. She got "help" from another woman who didn't know much English either. It took the two of them 20 minutes to type an order into the register, that would have taken no more than 5 minutes TOPS on a regular day. People who came in after us (but had their orders placed by the knowledgeable blonde woman) had their food out before us! Ergh! I was feeling irritable at this point... Later, one of the ladies who worked on our disaster order, came to bring my boyfriend his milkshake. First she brought it to our table, then picked it back up, and put it on the table behind us. The little boy at the table took a sip of the milkshake. When she realized she had messed up, she tried to give the milkshake back to my boyfriend that the kid had already taken a sip out of! GROSS! At this point I was REALLY irritated and asked for the manger. If it wasn't for the manager, this place would have gotten a 2 star review. He went out of the way to help correct the experience. He got our food out quickly. Yay! He even brought me a complimentary milkshake for the trouble. Double yay! And then when my boyfriend and I were about to head out, he brought me some vouchers for food. It's nice to find a place with a manager who cares about customer service. As far as the food itself goes, it's quite good! They also have an impressive gluten free menu and condiment section. I do recommend coming here.
