This place was not bad and a little busy when my coworker and I came here for lunch. We found a parking spot and went out side to look at the menu. There was one table where we parked so we decided to eat outside rather than in the car. Everybody else had their food delivered to them to their car. A lot of the items on the menu sounded good to me but that was because I was hungry at the time. I asked the waitress what was the most popular burger and she told me it was the Green Chile Burger ($3.79) for a 1/4 lb. burger. I ordered that, a small BBQ Burger ($4.79 or $6.89 for a large), small fries ($2.69), and a medium soft drink ($1.89). My coworker ordered the Chicken Sandwich ($3.99) and large Tater Tots ($1.99 or $1.69 for a small). It took a while for our food to come out. I ate the BBQ Burger first and it was such a tiny burger. It tasted okay and was nothing special in my opinion. The Green Chile Burger was good and had a tiny spicy kick which was just right. I would recommend that burger if you don't know what to order. The fries were okay and they gave us two ketchup cups each which was more than enough for me. I thought this place was not bad and would be a place to go if you like to eat from your car. Food and service was good. But please, if somebody asks for "cherry" pepsi, dont say yes and give us PEPSI with GRENADINE. Also if the malt is not available dont give out shake "because its kind of the same". read more

Went there for dinner, service was outstanding, but the food was alright. The cheeseburger had a few thing wrong with it. The tomato was NOT seasoned and was very bland, the bun was not toasted and was soggy, and the acid from the pickles and mustard was VERY overpowering. The fries were alright minus the fact they hadn't been seasoned and I could tell they were store bought as some of them were stuck together. So we are in Cortez Co for a couple of weeks to explore Mesa Verde and all the surrounding area. After doing a little tour of the town and going to the Four Corners Monument we decided to try Burger Boy Drive In. We have driven by several times and it was always busy I checked out Yelp and the menu looked like something we would enjoy. You pull in and a person comes to your car and takes your order. The menu is hanging right up front for you to see. I ordered the Patty Melt my husband ordered the Jalapeño burger and we both ordered onion rings and chocolate shakes. We received our milk shakes first. And they tasted like the ones we make at home delicious. When they brought our order out it was on tray that fit on the window from drive ins of the 50's. My Patty Melt was huge with grilled onions and sauerkraut perfect. My husband Jalapeño burger was much bigger than he expected and onion rings were cooked to perfection. Everything tasted fantastic. The service was great and friendly. Absolutely no complaints. You are in Cortez Co you need to stop here and enjoy the food. read more

Absolutely delicious. Yes, they close at 7... it's a family business, go home to your family - you've earned it by making amazing food for my belly! I had the green chile burger (single patty, perfect size for me!), my husband had the jalapeño burger (double) and we split fries and tots. Everything was delicious, seriously. First time eating here after reading the reviews. Great menu, excellent service and very tasty food. For those who have been brain washed from the fear mongers about COVID-19. If you are that afraid then by all means, as an adult it's your choice not to go to a certain place if they feel it's to risky. We both had the large green chile burger with cheese and split a large tater tots. Burgers were good but not great. Tots were, well, tots. More for the experience of eating in your car with curb service than actual food quality. Super friendly service. Highlight of the visit were the shakes - pineapple for me, Raspberry for him. Stopped by on the way to our campsite and it did not disappoint! We came at a peak lunch hour and ordered different kinds of burgers with tots and fries. Overall, the quality of the burgers is superior to most other drive-ins but the tots and fries are nice and crispy! The service was quick and the servers were friendly. For as busy as this place seems to be, they had our food out in no time. I wouldn't say this is a vegetarian friendly place if you want a lot of options, but I got the grilled chicken wrap since I can't eat a lot of beef. Had a small green chili cheeseburger (which is not very small). It was hot and fresh with generous fresh toppings. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten- hands down. The Onion rings and French fries were both crispy and delicious, and that strawberry milkshake was 100% worth it. We have eaten here twice now, and I hope to return many more times, although living as I do hundreds of miles away, that will take a while. My feeling is that most of the reviews are somewhat elevated by this restaurant's old-timey all-American vibe, and I'm no exception. I love it. The prices are on the very friendly side, and astonishingly don't seem to have risen much, if at all, over the past year. Service is cheerful and as fast as is practical given its popularity. I can't honestly say anything great about the food. My first visit was a standard cheeseburger, second visit was the green chili burger some reviewers rave about. Neither was anything special, a very ordinary burger patty loaded with too much shredded lettuce and a mediocre slice of tomato, out-done by its slightly over-large bun. I love a really good burger, cooked to order, medium-rare, but these were just fairly normal fast-ish food, although ample in size. The sweet potato fries were quite good, but only because sweet potato fries are always quite good. They could possibly have used a little more frying. The "large" portion size wasn't particularly impressive - we were sharing - but adequate for the price. It was certainly better than fast food, however, and given the pricing - basically equivalent to fast food - I'd pick this any time. My review would be for three stars if not for their very reasonable prices, as the food, what I've tried anyway, is as average as could possibly be found, but a very good deal for what you pay. read more

We drive Phoenix-SW Colorado area very often, and look forward to stopping here every time. It is a great alternative to all the usual fast food places you see on road trips.
