The Order: General (burger) + Loaded Brisket Fries First off... Online ordering... aka ScrollFest 2026... worked great, even if it felt like filling out a mortgage application. A heroic amount of options. I'm sure some folks love that level of control, but by the end I half-expected a personality test. On a phone? Absolutely unhinged. Desktop was survivable... barely. Pickup: Online said 30 minutes (6:23pm). Reality said "Nah, we're done already" at 6:09pm. Credit where it's due... glad I went down early so the food didn't turn into sad leftovers before I even met it. Presentation: Burger and fries looked good. No shame there. Instagram wouldn't have laughed at me. The General (Burger): Unfortunately... dry. Not send-it-back dry, but definitely "thank God for pickles" dry. The pickles did some real heavy lifting, adding the only noticeable zip. BBQ sauce and ranch were apparently present in spirit only... I saw a drip, but my taste buds never got the memo. Result: A decent burger. Not bad. Not memorable. Certainly not something I'd text a friend about like "BRO YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS." Loaded Brisket Fries: Flavor? Good. Sauce? Tasty. Execution? Eh. For $12, the portion felt a little "is this the appetizer?" The fries could've been warmer and better mixed... instead it was more like scavenger hunting for bites that had everything together. The deep-fried cheese curds were legit but borderline fork-vs-curd death match. That plastic fork never stood a chance. Outsides were pretty crusty... almost too committed to the crunch. Overall Verdict: Good food. Nothing offensive. Nothing that screams "come back often." If I'm nearby and hungry... sure. If I'm choosing a place intentionally... probably not. Final Score: 3.5 stars... rounding up to 4 because I believe in grace. Solid effort. Some wins. Some misses. No fireworks. Would eat again... but only if someone else picked the place and I didn't have to scroll for 10 minutes first Ambiance: N/A. I've only heard good things about this place after living in the area for 3 months and finally tried it on a Sunday afternoon. Had the AK burger with fries and everything tasted great. Cheese was nice, onions fried well, and meat tasted good. I think they definitely could use a better bun and be much more transparent about wait times. I waited about 20 min for the burger and fries being the only person physically in line. Any more than a 10 min wait for a burger means staff should let the customer know-- it's important to be polite and transparent. read more

Been stopping by here for a few years. I think they were better when they did just burgers. They expanded their menu to include other options as well as breakfast. Burgers are good, not super like they used to be. They have gotten smaller. They do still offer a dog patty, but it's called something different. Like many places, they are probably getting hit with cost increases and need to adapt. I do like the atmosphere. Being outside the Bunker Bar makes it even better. read more

Horrible service. Waited an hour for a burger and chili fries and they made the wrong burger. Had it not been the spicy one my husband would have just ate it but his stomach can't handle the heat. So we waited. Another 25 minutes goes by and he goes outside to ask what's going on and they just then got the order. Waited another 10 minutes still no burger. Asked for the check. Another 10 minutes and still nothing. No apology or nothing from the waitress. What a shame we were regulars but never again. Service has been going downhill for years and this was the last straw. Seriously this is the best burger place in the area. Burgers in general have become overpriced and the quality has gone done but at Bunker it's sooo good and the value is worth it. The quality of the food was delicious & for the price I felt was worth it. The fries were hot, the Burger patty was perfectly cooked, the fried shoe string onions a long with the bacon was a great combo of flavors together. I was a little bummed that they didn't have some of the things on the menu I saw here (Sand Poppers & the General Burger). However they were nice enough to make the General Burger just not with the pulled pork. The menu I looked at on Yelp was old but they do have the current menu on the Truck so make sure to base your order on that just in case it changes. Hopefully they'll bring back the two items I mentioned but if not, it's still a decent place for a burger. read more

Great reviews but the real thing didn't live up to the hype. Flavor was pretty good, but the burgers were incredibly small for $8 (see photo). Looked like a burger that would come with a kids meal. Fries were also not great, $3 for a handful of frozen shoe string fries wasn't a very good deal. Always a great experience coming here! The staff are always pleasant and get your burger out to you piping hot. The burger and fries are consistent in their quality, unlike gross Rogers' fries. And it doesn't take 30+ minutes to get your food. I think they also own the adjacent bar, and they are very friendly too. Bar staff come by to see if you're thirsty for adult libations. My wife and I stopped in tonight for 2 bacon cheeseburgers and 1 order of poppers. Our food was fantastic and at the perfect temperature. Whenever you are in Post Falls Idaho, you must try the Bunker food truck. We found the price reasonable and portions generous.
