Our first visit to Burger Park was great! I like that they have two separate areas for small and large plus it was clean and well maintained. My little boy Ivan and I will definitely visit again!

    Logan enjoyed his day!

My pup, Logan, finally received all his shots so it was the green light to take him to a local dog park and make friends! I liked that this dog park had two fenced in areas, one for smaller dogs and one for large dogs. Since my 5 and a half month old is almost the size of a full grown dog, the large dog area was where we visit. Logan was greeted immediately upon entrance by several friendly, well behaved, dogs. Within minutes (and once I had built up the confidence to take him off the leash) he was running and playing with his new buddies! Yes, like a new mom watching their kid go off to Kindergarten, I teared up a bit. The owners also welcomed us and gave Logan lots of love when he ran by. Without a doubt, I will be coming here often. It's so close to home and seeing Logan enjoying himself and making friends was priceless!

I enjoy this park. I come here quite frequently. It's grassy and pretty big for the small dog area. There's quite a bit of people who bring their dogs here. I do like how the big dogs can still interaction with the small dogs. Everyone looks after their dog and keeps an eye on them. It's a gravel parking lot but plenty of parking.

I will be honest, this will not be a good dog park for everyone because... The Pro's: *Plenty of space for the dogs to run and get their zoomies out. *Trash cans, Benches for seating, and A doggy water fountain to drink from are available. *Very clean for the most part. You're not stepping over a bunch of poop piles pet parents didn't get up! The Con's: *There's no "Small dog/Large dog" separation. So if your tiny dogs can't hang with the big dogs, this won't be a great place to come! *There were a TON of dogs... when we visited there were at least 20-30 dogs easily. So if you're dog doesn't like being in a big "dog crowd" this won't be a great place for you in the peak times... you may have to beat the crowd by coming early or something but after noon 5ish was super crowded. *There are some imperfections in the landscaping. There are areas where there's a little rocky and just watching the dogs run I was really holding my breath that none of them pulled anything, slid, or stepped too hard on a rock of some sort! It could get ugly real quick! So if the owners out there please patch the area by the sitting stone wall up with grass. Other than those few things it was a great time. The entire park is beautifully kept and a great addition to Smyrna area! We will be back!

There are fairly large patches of dirt/mud where the seated areas (3 benches in the park) are. You can see areas where they have tried putting fake grass down to spark growth but it may take a while (I'm not an expert on this). I can see where this can be muddy if you go after it rained so beware of that. They do have a water fountain and it appears as if other owners have left water bowls there for regular visitors. Some of the owners know each other so that's always a plus which has a true dog lover 'community' feel to it. Deducted a star because the mosquitos were RAMPANT!! (Not sure if anything can be done but sheesh!) the other star was for the fake grass patches. Decent dog park with potential...

The dog park is sectioned off for large and small dogs. My review is based on the large dog park. Half of the park is filled with gravel makes the area cleaner than most after a rainy day. The other half is like a forested area with dirt. On hot afternoons, many dog owners and their pups gather in that area to keep cool. PROS: - 3 water stations - Multiple poop bag dispensers that always stocked in my experience - Lots of benches throughout the park - Wash off area outside the park - Almost always occupied with dogs throughout the day - Gravel - Convenient walking trail entrance adjacent to park - Well lit parking lot and park CONS: - Some days, there's more poop on the ground than others. Not too bad though. - The wash off area can be cleaner - Not close enough to home :( Parking is plentiful. I never have trouble finding parking unless there's a festival/event going on in the park. ** Note: Dog park is closed from 9am-12pm first Wednesday each month for cleaning** Bravo to the Brook Run community/volunteers who contribute to keeping this park clean and well stocked.

The only issue we would have is that there are a lot of small dog owners in the large breed area, and sometimes it feels like our pup can't freely play without worry that he would accidentally run them over.
