Five Stars to the City of Woodstock, GA for this wonderful addition to our local park locations.Woofstock Park is constructed on the former site of the Walden Chase apartment complex that was destroyed as a result of flooding in September 2009. The City of Woodstock was able to purchase the property with a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA. Additionally, the park will have a trailhead linking it to the city's trail system. Visit for more information:https://www.facebook.com/woofstockpark

    Beautiful bridge.

We always enjoy this spot. Long shaded areas to walk, great scenery, sweet dog park. Wish they had more places to sit at the dog park though. People would probably stay longer if there were more places to sit. It's a great place to take pics as well.

I want to love this dog park.... but I sadly have bad experiences most visits. Literally no small dogs ever. Lol. It's become comical. ‍‍‍ -- much prefer swift Cantrell dog park (it's just far) or patriots park.

Such a beautiful and well maintained dog park!! New clean mulch, water fountains for dog and owner. It looks like owners are good about cleaning up after their dogs because I didn't see any piles that had been missed. Both the small dog and big dog sides are HUGE!! There are even restrooms and a nice walking trail as well!!

LOVE IT! This was our first visit to Woofstock with our smaller dog Izzy! When we pulled in we noticed that they had two areas. One for small dogs and one for larger dogs. This eased my anxiety a bit. You never know how these four legged freaks are going to act! :) My boys and I took Izzy in and all of the furry little friends came to greet her right away! This kinda took her back and looked at me as if to say "mom is this allowed"? After walking her around a bit she warmed up a touch. The small dog area is really big! They have a covered area with shade, lots of seating around the perimeter, 2 doggie ramps, and a human/doggie water fountain! The large dog area is pretty much the same. It seemed a bit smaller than the small dog area, but maybe that was due to all of the dogs looking so BIG in there. After a while we noticed that there was a trail with a bridge across the parking lot. We ventured over and walked the trail. Super cool! This trial leads to Downtown Woodstock. If Izzy wasn't so pooped we would have walked farther. We saw bikers, walkers and runners on the trail. The bridge passes over a really nice stream. We have now vowed to bring Izzy here at least once a week. We need to socialize her more since all she has is her big brother Chuck (English Bulldog). She really wants Chuck to go too but knows that he would bite everyone ;)

Previously, I had been having to go out of my way and a little further than I'd like for a dog park. It was a bummer because they're all nice places and my dog loves 'em, but it seemed inconvenient to be driving out every week. Then I found this gem! It's the most perfect spot. There's two fenced off areas - one for small dogs and the other for big dogs. My encounter with pretty much all of the dogs and owners have been an enjoyable one. There's a shaded area, trash cans and bags, water, bowls, and balls and frisbees around for use. Right next to the dog park, there's a pathway that is wonderful and clean. If you go left, it'll lead you down to an opening on 92. If you take a right, it'll take you into downtown Woodstock. There's also the creek that runs along it, and if you've got a water loving dog like mine, they'll certainly enjoy running around in there!

This park rocks for doggos of all sizes. My first visit there it was a giant mud pit. Since then they have covered the entire grounds with wood chips and it's awesome. Great job city of Woodstock!

This place is a great unleashed dog park. But, it also has a new awesome bridge that leads to a few different trails. It has a nice covered picnic type area along with a lot if signs and mile markers. One trail goes to Main Street Woodstock and the other to noon day creek.

The small dog area is great for socializing. I was told to be careful of dog parks, but this one is great. My pup was very shy and has come out of her shell more thanks to the other great dogs that are here most days. The trail is shaded a lot too.

Okay I take back what I said about the mud puddle! Since my first review I have visited several other paw parks in the area and Woofstock is by far the biggest and the best. As long as you come prepared the mud puddle is actually a very fun feature and the dogs love playing in it. Everyone who visits the park are very nice and the dogs are well mannered. Such a fun time for your furry friend!

Ask the Community - Woofstock Park

Can i have a dog birthday party here?

I don't think you could have it closed off for a private party but there are different sections and you could probably set something up off in one of the sections and it would be fine.

It seemed a bit smaller than the small dog area, but maybe that was due to all of the dogs looking so BIG in there.

Once inside, I headed straight for the Bar(k) for some beer and cocktails. There's a good selection for whatever sustenance you need on a hot summer day. I wanted something cold and juicy - the POG basement IPA is one of my favorites, so I skipped the draft list and opted for the can. I also loved the cocktail list with dog themed names - the Moscow Mutt was pretty tasty. There isn't much shade at the park - so we were all crowded under the shade of the awnings, attempting to get as close to the fans as possible. I tried to get my pup to go out to the turf and play with other dogs but it was way too hot for her so she just kept following me back to the shade to chill. The tennis balls were too big for her to catch and there are only one size available. She prefers to play fetch with the smaller balls we have at home. The dog trainers/park workers tried to interact with her but she was a bit aloof and clingy to me. My pup is not very dog friendly anymore thanks to a bad incident at a public dog park, so unfortunately I can't come by regularly now - however if your dog enjoys playing with other dogs and people and you want to be able to drink and socialize at the same time, definitely recommend!

You pull up to the building and from the parking lot, you have no idea where it actually is. You just have to get out and start exploring and hope that GPS has actually landed you in the right place. You are indeed there. Walk around the community building and follow the path off to the right. There are three enclosures: big, little, and ?? I didn't walk that far because I always stop for my pup to play with the bigs. There is fresh water at the entrance, and when it's hot, there are plastic pools you can fill and mud for your dog to play in. There is some shade, but it's not every where, and the grass (as you'd probably expect) is non-existent, but it's a fun time, especially when people actually get off their phones (AND THE BENCHES) and play with their dogs.

The dog park is sectioned off for large and small dogs. My review is based on the large dog park. Half of the park is filled with gravel makes the area cleaner than most after a rainy day. The other half is like a forested area with dirt. On hot afternoons, many dog owners and their pups gather in that area to keep cool. PROS: - 3 water stations - Multiple poop bag dispensers that always stocked in my experience - Lots of benches throughout the park - Wash off area outside the park - Almost always occupied with dogs throughout the day - Gravel - Convenient walking trail entrance adjacent to park - Well lit parking lot and park CONS: - Some days, there's more poop on the ground than others. Not too bad though. - The wash off area can be cleaner - Not close enough to home :( Parking is plentiful. I never have trouble finding parking unless there's a festival/event going on in the park. ** Note: Dog park is closed from 9am-12pm first Wednesday each month for cleaning** Bravo to the Brook Run community/volunteers who contribute to keeping this park clean and well stocked.
