I just moved to the area so am checking all of the dog parks nearby out. I have a 12 year old, 80 pound dog that has been having issues with his paw pads as he has gotten older. So this whole park (inside the gate) is all mulch. He was tip toeing and I could tell it bugged him. It was a bit of a mess, smellier than an average dog park with grass, and not really anything to rave about. There is a small dog park next to it, and all of the people and dogs there were extremely nice. read more

As far as a dog park, it's a no for me. The place reeks of dog urine and most of the owners do not pay attention to their dogs. Lots of aggression and dog fights with owners on their phones or talking to others. I was in the small pen with only one other dog so it wasn't a problem, but it was crazy town in the large pen. Looks like it had nice walking trails. read more

My dog's favorite dog park! This is a great place to take your dog. They have two fenced in areas to separate the small and large dogs. Plenty of seating for the dogs owners and lots of trees to provide shade in the summertime. They have a water faucet to keep the dogs hydrated. I have found the dog owners at this park to be more friendly and laid-back than at other parks. Our dog Willie plays hard and because he is a herding dog some people can get nervous when he tries to "herd" the other dogs. The only negative of this park is that since it is so large some dogs can poo and the owners do not see it - or maybe they just choose not to clean up after their dog, I am not sure. The park does have plenty of stations with poo bags: keep it clean people! Watch where you step! read more

This is a great dog park. Two shaded areas to separate big dogs from the small with water, mulch, poop bags and seating for human chaperones. I generally find nice people to talk to, and it's a great place for my cockapoo to stretch his legs and socialize. read more

Pros: This park is huge and lots of room for your pup to roam. Cons: 1) The park is dirty and lots of people don't watch their dogs and are more interested in socializing or checking their phones and smoking. 2) There is a strong urine smell in the entrance and various sections of the park and lots of poop piles. 3) Lots of dogs wearing collars, but no tags for rabies. 4) After it rains, this park has areas where water just sits and ferments because of all the trees. 5) Some people bring aggressive dogs here and dog fights occur. read more

This is a great park! Plenty of active lifestyle options including hiking trails, tennis courts, and a dog park. If you're looking for a quick stroll, the hiking trails are perfect. The dog park is clean and spacious. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the tennis courts are uphill and a bit hard to find. Fantastic place! read more

I love this dog park. It has 2 areas, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. It has benches and a picnic table on each side and the ground is covered in mulch, so the dogs dont get dirty as fast. There is a water fountain for dogs, but they turn it off in the winter because the pipes freeze so you should bring your own. It is covered with tall shade trees that really block out the heat in the summer. I love taking my dog here with a good book and can read for hours while my dog plays. Plenty of parking and a little trail if you want to go on a quick hike. Great place to take your dog. Some people take their kids and the kids have a great time playing fetch with the dog and dont seem to get bored. read more

I love this dog park! It is very shaded, lots of seating (in the big dog section), and there are also trails in the wooded area along w/ tennis courts, etc. I usually bring my puppy on the weekends. Wish it was closer to where I live but it is definitely well worth the drive. The people are also extremely nice as well :) read more

Our favorite dog park in the area. Many of the dogs are regulars and most of the owners are friendly. There are a lot of BIG dogs but if you're scared for your little booger take it next store. The shade is awesome and there are a bunch of benches to sit on. Parking is easy and convenient. I wish it was closer to our house. read more

I know I gave this dog park only three stars, but I'll qualify that by saying that if I had a smaller dog or one that didn't like to explore so much, I might have given four. This is essentially a very big (maybe a third the size of a football field) fenced-in area surrounded by woods. The pros are that it's set up in a way that you can pretty much always see your dog, people in general are good about looking after their dogs, and there's plenty of room for the dogs to run and do whatever else interests them (such as pee on things - ha!). The cons are that my dog always smells like a sewer when we leave (especially since the ground is always marshy, though they've leveled the ground a few times); and it ultimately really is just a fenced-in area with a few picnic tables and benches scattered within it. Also, I've been here several times, even on weekends, when there's been no one else here, and I hate disappointing my critter! read more

Worth the visit It appears the park had a full renovation in the past two years. He have an 8 month 45 pound puppy that is in heaven when she visits the park. The small dogs section is separate from the big dogs at least 40 lbs. I can speak for big dogs only for the experience. The fence entry is double gated for security with poured concrete. The mulch is still plentiful while the grading was well done. Since the area is very slightly sloped I have not seen any low muddy areas which is common for dog parks. Plenty of benches with about 5 picnic tables. Also a bunch of shade, at least 50 hardwoods still remain. The dog water fountain is great but it is turned off in winter. Peak time is mornings and evenings before it gets hot; as many as 15 dogs on average on sight. Lastly the dogs are hilarious and entertaining. I have never seen a dog fight break out. They all just hang out and play. Great exercise for your younger dogs and great socialization for your canine. The pack animals simply enjoy the interaction. I encourage you to check it out for at least 30 minutes. I am confident you and your family will enjoy it. read more

The dog park is very nice. Scenic-wise it's very shaded and there are park benches for you to sit on throughout the area. My only hiccup about the park --from my dogs preference -- is the wooded mulch. My guy just doesn't seem to like it. He's used to parks with more grass than anything else. Other than that there's a water fountain and trails nearby. Nice park to visit. Very large area. read more

I took my dog for the first time to a dog park and chose this one based on reviews. They are wrong. The park is dark murky there is poo everywhere and the place is not stocked. Some of the people there were allowing their dogs to charge and play rough with dogs that were odiously not used to this behavior. Not only will I not return but I would tell others to stay away! read more

HAD SOME GOOD DAYS HERE, BUT ALSO HAD SOME BAD ONES, ONE OF WHICH RESULTED IN A TRIP TO THE ER FROM A DOG BITE- THE OWNER LEFT IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT GIVING CONTACT INFO. My dog is not much more than 30 lb, very soft in personality (springer spaniel) and un-neutered, so maybe he just invites aggressive behavior from other dogs. Either way, two different days now he basically got jumped with 5+ dogs all swarming him and a few taking turns mounting, biting and jumping on him. Both times I waited but eventually had to go in and push the other dogs away and fish him out and both times the other owners just passively watched from a distance. The second time, as I waded into the frey, ONE OF THEIR DOGS CAME RIGHT AT ME, STARTED NIPPING AGGRESSIVELY, AND THEN BIT MY HAND- I HAD TO GO THE THE ER. MY HAND WAS COVERED IN BLOOD AND THE OWNER LEFT IMMEDIATELY AND BASICALLY SAID IT WAS MY FAULT-NO CONTACT INFO, NO IDEA IF HIS DOG IS VACCINATED (LARGE GOLDEN LAB, MIDDLE AGED WHITE MAN). I guess he was afraid of a law suit- I'm definitely not interested in bringing one, but would really love to know if his dog has been vaccinated for rabies! I guess the takeaway is that there is significant risk here. I'm guessing most owners here have control of their dogs and are concerned about safety/etiquette, but there are obviously some bad apples. read more

This is one of the best dog parks I've been to. Have been taking my 2 dogs (now 1, sadly) since it opened. Have only run into issues a few times, all of them due to the owner's lack of attention when their dog was getting over stimulated or felt threatened. Anything can happen, especially if the park has a lot of 'kids' playing and owners need to keep an eye on their dog to make sure they are not getting overly protective over a ball, etc. As far as pit bulls are concerned, I've met some wonderful ones at the park. Again, it's the owners, not the dog when something gets out of control. And owners that bring their dog to the park, knowing they have an agressive pet, should not do so. read more

My German Shepherd Lobo and I have a fantastic experience every time we go. People clean up after their dogs- no awful smells or having to watch where I step! The big dogs can be very jumpy and playful, and my dog is very docile so he has often been invited into the small dog area. The people are wonderful, the place is huge, and my energetic dog has room to run and play. We hope to become regulars. read more

Nice dog park for the most part. I've run across some very nice dog owners there, but once in awhile there is a bad apple in the bunch who will have a consistently aggressive dog and doesn't control or intervene before the dog attacks other dogs. One is particularly psychotic. I don't get it. On the West Coast, dog owners like this were asked to leave the park. Here everyone else leaves the park before they'll ask the owner to control their dog. read more

This is a great park but beware of the pit bulls. I have taken my lab here since he was a puppy, he is only one now. Never had a problem until this rescued one year old pit bull mix decided to clamp down on my dogs neck and ear. The owner grabbed his dog and I grabbed mine, I started trying to get the other dog off my lab and still she (pit bull) would not let go. The damage was thankfully minimal. These dogs seem tame but the bite can be devastating. As a dog owner for 35 years I have seen what these dogs are capable of doing. They should be banned from dog parks. read more

Beautiful grounds, but be prepared for a bunch of disconnected crazed dog owners who seem to not care that their dogs are attacking each other. My one experience here included numerous scuffles with limited owner intervention. The one conscientious person there told me several times owners have gotten into actual physical fights. This is a great dog park!! There are two separate areas, one for large dogs and other for small dogs. We have a dachshund and a cocker spaniel ( medium size both) so we went to the large dogs area and It was awesome! The large dog area is really big, fenced , with mulch , poop bags, water for the dogs, seating benches, picnic tables, and It's very shaded . There are balls around so you can play with your dogs freely.. People are very friendly! Must go! read more
