You pull up to the building and from the parking lot, you have no idea where it actually is. You just have to get out and start exploring and hope that GPS has actually landed you in the right place. You are indeed there. Walk around the community building and follow the path off to the right. There are three enclosures: big, little, and ?? I didn't walk that far because I always stop for my pup to play with the bigs. There is fresh water at the entrance, and when it's hot, there are plastic pools you can fill and mud for your dog to play in. There is some shade, but it's not every where, and the grass (as you'd probably expect) is non-existent, but it's a fun time, especially when people actually get off their phones (AND THE BENCHES) and play with their dogs.

To my understanding, this park connects to another one, but we didn't check the other side out. It seemed to be well maintained overall. The bathrooms were clean and kept up, the park and pavilions were in good condition overall, and there was no major construction or anything going on which was nice. Someone was setting up for a birthday party or function of some sort, so we left a little earlier than planned, but you could definitely spend a decent amount of time here and just relax and enjoy the quiet. There are views of the river over the bridge and a bunch of different trails one could take. My clients enjoyed the little free library that many of the parks around here have. It's to the left, right off the main parking lot when you drive in. We borrowed a few books and now we can return some one day to this location and others. Overall, everyone had a great time and we would definitely come back here for book club or just to walk around in the fresh air again.

The grass and area are very well taken care of. When I went, the grass was low and I didn't see one single piece of trash anywhere. The path goes around the park and is .9 miles. There is plenty of parking. There are several baseball diamonds, a soccer field and a playground. It is usually pretty clean. However, it seams that quite a few people don't like picking up after their pet. My only criticism would be that the park would benefit from a few garbage cans right by the path so people will pick up after their pets.

Beautiful, rolling green hills and lots of trees. Can't wait to see what it looks like once the leaves have begun to change color for Fall. Lots of families were there to visit and enjoy a walk or picnic, and there are walking/hiking trails to explore as well. The entire park consists of about 107 acres, including a dog park which I will definitely have to visit next time with my Husky.

An amazing walking trail to honor the US veterans, and all laid out in a beautiful manner. I really enjoy coming here to ride my bike or walk my dog.

Leon Hall has been a nice addition to NW Cobb parks, with walking trails to keep the beginner and…read moreintermediate travelers occupied. Meander through 2 miles of trails on the three loops, mostly flat and with plenty of greenery along the way. Start or end with a picnic at one of the tables near the trail entrance, or schedule a larger affair at the pavilion near the parking lot. This won't be an ideal destination for serious runners unless you're making a loop from the Battlefield during marathon training. But stroll away for a good hour or so without too much stress, since wide trails allow for easy navigation. If you get lost just keep walking and eventually you'll run into the place you were before to head back to the decent-sized parking lot. Most days you won't need to scramble for parking, since this seems to be moderately frequented by soft-core walking and off-road stroller types. We took bikes once with mixed success, and I think that's a solid plan with kids. You probably won't even need to carry your youngster while walking the bike back. Rumors exist this park will connect one day via a greenway to Allatoona Creek Park. You could add that 30-mile loop to your marathon training. Fun! For now I'll stroll along in sandals though these mulch-covered paths and thank Leone and the Price family for their generous land donation.

Cauble Park sits in the heart of Acworth and is a sprawling park that features all the standard…read moreofferings of a park from grill areas, gazebos, walking paths, playgrounds, restrooms and a few other public spaces that are first come first serve...but what makes Cauble Park so special is the beach...yup, the beach in the middle of Acworth! A portion of the park is dedicated to Acworth Beach, which is a fairly good sized sandy beach along side Lake Acworth. The beach is well kept, clean and normally packed during the summer months, as you would expect. They do have buoys in the water noting distance parameters, but the beach does not have active lifeguards, so very much "swim at your own risk". As with other beaches, they offer restrooms and showers adjacent to the beach. While Cauble Park features all the good stuff of a park, it is also a residential neighborhood. To access you either have to live in the city limits of Acworth, and have your respective car tag, or pay a per-car fee to enter. It ranges from $10 - $20, depending on the season. Parking is plentiful, but can be tough on summer weekend days or during special events such as July 4th. Something else I enjoyed about this park is the wooden walkway that took you over Lake Acworth and gave great views of the park, lake and beach. This trail leads into a wooden trail, and while I enjoy paved trails a bit more, I get the preservation of the woods and leaving the trail paved/dirt. This trail is not very long, and dead ends into another residential street. Overall, Cauble Park at Acworth Beach is a well know, but hidden gem in the community! My best friend lives in Acworth, so every time I visit, we make sure to swing by the park at least once.

Sometimes, my husband and I bring food with us, and we eat at the pick nick tables and watch people. Often, families have parties in the pavilions and use the charcoal grills that are located in the park. You have to bring your own charcoal. The playground has been updated within the past year or so. It's really nice and seems to be very popular. I see people fishing, canoeing, boating, walking their dogs, and getting into the water at the beach. Personally, I'm not that suicidal that I would get into the water any time soon. What comes to the restrooms, I do not use them unless I absolutely have to. I have attended several events at this park, and I enjoyed them. However, if you come to see fireworks, prepare yourself for a long walk. You might have to park very far from the park. City of Acworth Parks and Recreation is not enforcing parking fees all the time, maybe just on summer weekends? I have never paid for parking here. Absolutely clean, beautiful place.
